Obscenity? More like Assault with a Dead Weapon

I mean just damn

Yep and crime is up in Memphis Q1 40% over Q1 2022 (quite a feat) but the “punishing crime doesn’t matter” crowd will probably ignore the new Shelby County DA and his pro-criminal policies that are now making things even worse. There have been 7000 stolen cars in 2023 and he will be around for only 7.5 more years. Elections have consequences.

I don’t know how the business model would work, but it could possibly be a worthwhile venture to start a gun shipping enterprise for people trying to sell on GB or ship their guns to get custom work. Right now, people who want to do that have extremely limited options. I work in the industry and know of several occasions where would-be customers were turned away since FDX and UPS got spooked last year.
-
UPS one-upped FDX on the oh-crap-it’s-a-gun! factor and now FDX is slightly more user friendly. Here is a thread about the UPS changes a while back:

UPS recently changed their rules and Joe Six Pack shipping a gun is no longer allowed.

Nice pair. You beat me to that RPR.

NON-VIOLENT CRIMINALS KEEP RIGHTS

Both would help. As for liberal penalties being effective, come live in Shelby County for a while and let us know your findings. -
NON-VIOLENT CRIMINALS KEEP RIGHTS

I respectfully disagree. You are absolutely correct and I understand that Bruen obviously does not address the corrections policies of individual jurisdictions. I was arguing that if we applied the Bruen opinion/mindset/philosophy to imprisonment, we would compare punishment then and punishment now and see that felons walking around today after serving only a fraction of their sentences and have no business being free would have been much more severely punished (or even put to death) for the same crimes back in 1791. I doubt there was a revolving door back then. We can talk about changing that until we lose our voices, but you and I both know that will never happen. Therefore, I don’t lose a wink of sleep over some felons (violent or not) permanently losing their rights. -

NON-VIOLENT CRIMINALS KEEP RIGHTS

See my edited addition. Applying Bruen, it’s not unconstitutional unless that practice was common in 1791. -

We can window dress and do dick dances with wording all day, but a criminal who serves 3 years of a 10 year sentence because we have more convicted felons than prison beds has not served his sentence. I would support applying Bruen to it - was letting prisoners out after serving a fraction of their sentence because we need more space a common practice in 1791? I suspect that it wasn’t. -

But the sentence is never served. -

People rarely complete their sentences. -
Tennessee had a DB in the 90s named Raymond Austin. He was pretty good, but at a game vs Ole Miss, two drunk UT fans called him every name in the book the entire game. I don’t know if Raymond Austin ran over their dog or something, but they definitely didn’t like him.

How much did the new battery pack cost?

I vote 49. It has the least vertical stringing and I bet the chrono reveals that is also has the lowest SD.

Same here. The offensive linemen may be able to pull it off, but I’m 5’10/185 and if I pocket carry a double stack, somebody may think I’m really excited to see them. I’m not a pocket gun fan, but I had rotator cuff surgery three months ago and struggled to button my pants for a month and a half and it was basically impossible with my usual IWB rig. The 43 came in real handy and earned another year in the safe.

Could? You’re talking about the same gene pool that elected Mulroy.

It gives a seller some assurance that the buyer is not a criminal.
-
Exactly. Maybe stiffer sentences help and maybe they don’t but they are irrelevant if nobody gets arrested/convicted/sentenced. Shelby County elected a “progressive” DA last November and we are already feeling the predictable effects. Low/no bail, we aren’t going after XYZ crimes, the police are to blame, we are going to stop disproportionately incarcerating certain groups even though they disproportionately commit crimes, criminals need to stay in juvenile court until age 25, etc. were going to improve life for everyone, or so the enlightened woketards told us. Meanwhile thugs are shutting down streets to do donuts and drag race while hanging out their car windows with rifles and daring anyone to try to drive through. Elections have consequences. https://wreg.com/news/local/new-stats-show-disturbing-rise-in-crime-across-the-board-this-year/ https://www.actionnews5.com/2023/04/11/watch-reckless-drivers-block-traffic-while-doing-donuts-hanging-out-windows-with-guns/?outputType=amp

No idea, but I haven’t had cable in 10 or 12 years and rarely turn on a TV. -

I’m not a Carlson follower and have no idea if he is a racist (he probably is because well, everybody is nowadays), but I doubt he would get along with the Russians. I would enjoy seeing him host the View, however. -
