  1. Some NFML (non drop-free) mags will not drop, even when empty.
  2. ahh...finally, a capitalist.
  3. Owned a PT92, and it was the most awful gun I've ever owned. Also owned a Model 85 Ultra Light, and sometimes miss it. FWIW, a guy I shoot IDPA with was trying to carry a subcompact Taurus .40 (Millennium?), but could never get magazines to stay in the gun, and finally got rid of it.
  4. 1. Can you post a pic of your magazine? 2. What generation is your Glock 23?

  6. but that would ruin the rape scene--Ned wasn't packing. Well, I guess he was actually, or getting packed, maybe. Never mind.
  7. That sucks--I knew the LEO-only mags had different followers, but did not know the 10 round mags had diffeent tubes.
  8. You probably only need a different follower, perhaps a different mag spring. These guys can answer for sure: http://www.lonewolfdist.com/
  9. shotgun blast and the egg exploding were the coolest, IMO.
  10. LOL, I was going to post some comment about how the dude on the left looked like Steve Martin, and then at the end, holy #$%^! It is Steve Martin! (I missed Letterman's intro while fiddling with the volume). I don't care for country music in general, but banjos and bluegrass are a different story--makes me want to take a friendly canoe trip down the Cahulawassee River.
  11. where God meant for it to be, according to Mars...
  12. I thought I did ok on the poppers, especially drawing from concealment. After watching Springer and Sevigny, I wanted to quit and take up archery. [ame] [/ame]
  13. Memphis Mechanic put Sevigny Comps on my Glock 34 with a brass punch, and I think it's harmless. Banging on tritium sights may not be as wise, though.
  14. I went in half on an MGW w/ Memphis Mechanic. I think it's an MGW--I haven't even seen it yet. Anyway, they screwed up and sent him the tapered pusher. We both use squared sights (Warren Tactical Sevigny Competition), and they wouldn't quite fit into the sight channel on the tapered pusher. I THINK the MGW square pusher will work with both styles--I'll double check w/ MM.

  16. Well, the margins won't let me line them up just right, but you get the picture.
  17. Also, be aware that not all sight pushers will mount just any sights. For example, some aftermarket sight pushers will only push square sights, or only tapered sights. Stock Glock sights and some aftermarket replacements are tapered, and the Glock pusher will only work with these, I believe. If you are sure that you will always use one kind of sight, then it's not as big a deal. FWIW, I've heard that the Glock pusher is not as robust as some of the aftermarket pushers. By tapered sights, I mean sights that are shaped like this: _______ /xxxxxxxx\ as opposed to this: ________ lxxxxxxxxxl
  18. glockfaq says lci is worth 5 BATF points (about 2/3 the way down): http://www.glockfaq.com/models.htm
  19. Come to Bartlett--you can enjoy Germantown-wannabe codes, cops w/ radar guns and a dozen doughnuts behind every tree, and ever-increasing crime spilling over from bordering Memphis...
  20. and a functionally worthless idea it was, but it did get them a couple points for importation purposes.
  21. +1 Even more so with me since my religion is a combination of IDPA and football.
  22. The third generation Glocks came out before the LCI (loaded chamber indicator) did. So your G23 was probably one of the early third gen. guns, although someone may have swapped extractors. You didn't necessarily get screwed. I would never trust a loaded chamber indicator anyway.
  23. I feel where you're coming from--we just weren't able to make it work. It's sometimes tougher for women to dress for concealed carry. If she does, then congrats--she'll be better off.
  24. Hey man, you're the one who handed it to me and talked me out of that XD-M...if only I had gotten a gun with a grip safety!
  25. IMO, the purse has its ups and downs--Michele was working in one of those nice neighborhoods that turn to ghetto after dark. I wasn't nuts about the purse, but she would walk out with her hand on the gun (inside the purse--gun pouch unzipped) and her head on a swivel. She did this in most parking lots. A lousy way to walk to your car, but a blond-headed female in Memphis needs to be careful. A holster is definitely preferred, but a purpose-made purse and some practice and forethought are better than a gun in the glovebox, IMO.
