Lots of people here have problems with the pipes coming loose, although my wife's Glock 19 has them and they have held up well. FWIW, several locals have been unhappy with TruGlo's customer service. Based on how TFOs do on other guns and how TruGlo balks at taking care of them, I probably would not buy them again. My wife loves them, though.

I've never heard of "bleeding a deer," but I think it's a lot more important to gut one sooner rather than later and put the deer on ice if need be. During bow season (or warm gun season), I would buy two or three bags of ice and stuff them into the deer's field dressed chest cavity if it would be a while before processing. I say "would" because I no longer really have a place to go, and I'm now more interested in competitive shooting, anyway. I'll probably find my way back into the woods, though.

Agreed. I'm a big Glock fan, but a complete novice who is getting a gun to have, but will not practice or get any training, has no business with a Glock. On the other hand, a novice who gets quality training and shoots/practices routinely will be fine. Not necessarily true--a Glock's relatively low bore axis makes it a bit more gentle than, say a SIG or an XD.

G34 and 35 come with cheap adjustable sights. I'm not positive, but I believe the importation adjustable sight is a completely different animal--probably one I hope to never encounter.

Any time. Thus, the Gen. 3 guns have the silly "loaded chamber indicator" extractor and the "target" grips (finger grooves/dimples on each side). Many features are laughable, but serve an important purpose, as dictated by the BATF. How would you like to see one of the "cheap" rear sights the guns are imported with? As if the craptastic stock sights aren't cheap enough!

I doubt that you will have any feeding issues with your AK, but the SPs are probably a good all around choice.

Importation rules will never allow that to happen.

Keep in mind that parks are off-limits for concealed carry (or open). This may turn off some otherwise interested folks.

While you are on Comp-Tac's website, check out the CTAC as well. How are you built? Not trying to ruffle any feathers or offend anyone, but it seems that guys who complain about the CTAC being uncomfortable are the ones who are, shall we say, portly. Also, some have commented that the big leather layer on the MTAC causes them to sweat more in the summer. I use the CTAC, and have been happy with it. I'm not advocating one over the other, just trying to provide more info. I see you're in Memphis--if you could go to RangeUSA on Tuesday nights for their IDPA match or Rangemaster on Friday nights, you could probably see an example of both.

+1 I probably smart off more than the average TGOer when provoked. More than once, I've speculated that Mars would get out the KY and Viagra every time he read about some clueless cop shooting himself in the ass with a Glock. It was intended to be a harmless jab at his age, but I wish I could take back some of those comments. You never what your words will do. I should probably tone it down, too. On the other hand, I think Mars would scoff if he heard all this talk about polite, courteous posts. Maybe, in his memory, we should continue posting like there are "commies coming over the berm."

Five broken ribs? Ouch. I fell off a ladder once and broke one, and that only hurt when I inhaled for about a month. If I quit breathing, it felt great. That had side effects, though. I couldn't imagine five. Get well soon!
