  1. Check TX, I think there are some specific requirements on carry there. just a suggestion, but I would do a lot of searching before I depended on the law as quoted by an LEO. Unless they have finally gotten off their duff, lexis/nexis (sp) still has not corrected theTN law as amended and that is the "official" site for TN law.
  2. Just an opinion, but any attorney that would ponder such a suit should ponder what he will do after his license is suspended for say 90 days. No law to allow it, but it would reduce the coercion attempts.
  3. The only indoor range I have ever used is the one in Sevierville and the people were nice, friendly and the range was clean, well lit and a good experience for the person I had taken there for an evening of FamFire.
  4. Cell phones may not be your friend when it comes to 911 calls. I witnessed a coworker get kicked out to the non.- emergency number several times due to the cell service she subscribed to. It seems that the person breaking in was pretty slow in getting in and they never said anything about the motivation for the break-in. The sheeple are victims and sit and wait for bad things to happen, and happen, and happen as they wait for help. Like it says in some folks links "When seconds count, law enforcement is only minutes away" Just the reality of it, I would never depend on law enforcement assistance where I live and that is just the reality of living where I do.
  5. You can be too, check locally for preparedness sources
  6. Don't forget 250 rounds of break in ammo and 250 more for practice and then some carry rounds, a box of that should do for now.
  7. Volunteers schedule courses as they have time. TWRA has some of the course online and final portion is scheduled to be held at Ellington Ag. Local wildlife officer may also schedule one as his schedule allows. During deer season may not be he best time to expect to find one. There is always a course being scheduled somewhere so it will pay to check the TWRA web site.
  8. 308, 30-06 will solve half of the problem and 12, 20 gauge will solve the other half. A good 22 bolt gun to get a lot of shooting practice with rounds out ones needs. All the others are just wants that should be fulfilled as finances allow.

    CZ82, My new toy :D

The holster and mag carrying case as shown in your post would cost 100 bucks if it were made and sold separately here. I bought an ample supply of some Russki ammo from CTD and the total cost with shipping was $10.79 a box for FMJs. A coworker gave me a box of Russki HP ammo and when I tested it I got zero expansion so I figure penetration of 4-5 of them on a cartridge/bullet that small probably trumps expansion anyway. The lack of recoil and the smooth trigger pull on the 82 sets it up as being perfect to deliver the "Quintiple Tap" anyway.
  10. Video removed, any links to it or the updated version?
  11. S&W 41 is likely the best, also most expensive, then the various Rugers hard to put back together if you take them apart, then the Browning Buckmark Easy to take apart if needed, accurate enough, mine feels good in my hand EXCEPT for the grips, but not bad enough that I have ever gotten around to make a new set either.
  12. A big ol +10 on what Garufa said. Sink holes are a good thing to avoid, including the depression around them. I think you can get thermal stability in a shallower hole considering you are going to need relative easy access to get canned goods in and out, especially in. I suggest a steel framed steel door opening IN and cast concrete or rebar in concrete filled block construction. Good drainage around and above the site will be a must. Food storage and someplace to go when you hear a freight train coming sounds like a plan. Remember soome sort of long lasting lighting and antenna for a radio when you are in the "hole".
  13. Crimsonaudio I am not a semiauto fan, but the CZ82 fits my had like it was meant to be there. Shooting one is like shooting a 13 shot wheelgun, but maybe even smoother trigger pull, and the 9X18 is sort like a 380 on low dose steroids.
  14. Whatever you carry you will be undergunned!
  15. In regards to a post way back there about reporting it to ATF . . . ATF doesn't regulate STUPID.
  16. 24 caliber and 4" barrel. Oops guess that is likely 22 centerfire now

    Gone Crazy

IF I were to go away from wheel guns, Glock it would be. One can never relly say bad things about them.
  18. ID ten T selling stuff in the ammo aisle I D 1 0 T
  19. There is a reason they have changed the terminology to "Negligent Discharge".
  20. I would suggest the AR 15 platform with a 6.5, 6.8 or 7.72X39 upper. It will take care of your needs and should be accurate. The Ruger may or may not fulfill your needs.
  21. Please share a nice letter or email with them explaining theat they lost your business due to their posting. Nice positive, but LOSS of business!
  22. Any good/bad points? Performance so far? Number of rounds thru the tube?
  23. Reason for getting the permit, how often do I carry . . . First a place I go by myself has some separate violations if one is caught carrying, UNLESS they posses a valid HCP and it is becoming less safe. I can now carry in most states I plan to visit and carry within their constraints. Any state where I am not welcome carrying does NOT deserve to receive any of my money and I can vacation many places. Just like picking an eating establishment. Carry since receiving the permit, I have, but it was based on a particular need or possible need, not an every day carry decision. My carry mindset will change somewhat when I get a carry firearm I like to carry/is easy to carry.
  24. Get the lady to go shooting with you. Take her where you can shoot clay pigeons (lying on the berm) with a 22 pistola. Amazing what 50-100 rounds shot like that will do with the attitude of a non-shooter. little holes in a black or white circle on a piece of paper are boring to them but the near misses and hits on the pigeons are a whole nother story. 'Ill post separately to answer the original posters questions from my viewpoint.
  25. Maybe the "whores" referred to are the candidates, for sale to what they need to gain support, oh, wait that is a prostitute, politicians are not that straightforward and classy.
