Like every other law or procedure it depends on where you are. I was kinda surprised to see Tennessee Police Officers have limited jurisdiction. In the state I was in, Police Officers had to be certified by the state and they had full Police Powers anywhere within the state. Shows like live PD are not only entertaining, they let some folks (Kids) see real life situations play out, and they can learn something.

That would be a good idea. But I usually look at the approved dealers listed wherever I’m ordering from, so I don’t have to mess with asking FFL’s to provide copies of their licenses. I usually (if there is time) send them an email or Facebook message to make sure its still okay and verify the price. I really wish I could buy from local dealers; but it is what it is.

Why? Shooting in the parking lot and blowing up explosives; what could possibly go wrong? You are being kinda picky don't you think?

Barring the far left that wants total outlawing of all firearms, most Americans are looking at what is reasonable. Doing nothing to stop violent offenders and the mentally ill, once you are made aware, from obtaining firearms is not reasonable. That is the only basis for the 2nd amendment; I keep hearing that anyway. However, a bunch of citizens with semi-auto rifles have a real disadvantage over troops (who for some reason have decided to kill their fellow Americans) with machine guns. Cops aren’t murdering young black men; young black men are murdering young black men. Cops are killing criminals that have guns and are trying to kill them. Or failing to listen and follow instructions when they have a gun in their hand. I would agree that firearms are a high target item in house and car burglaries. A big part of that problem is catch and release. I wouldn’t call them ignorant. We have those sellers that have no way to do a background check and we also have those sellers that are targeting convicted felons. Convicted felons are more than willing to pay new prices for used guns. Yes, the people that would commit mass murder would not seek help. And unfortunately they have family members that don't think they will commit mass murder. Correct, the family unit, morale’s, jobs, and money; all serious problems. Some of us are in the news; OWM are the problem. And we must be dealt with immediately, or at least after we pay for the Green New Deal.

Or maybe it was Friday night anyway…. Sometimes you just have to laugh. They were dispatched to an auto burglary in progress. They arrived, saw the perp and took him into custody. Real matter of fact the cop said “I recognized him when I saw him. A couple of months ago he was fleeing a burglary and pointed a replica gun at us; we shot him”. A few minutes later they were searching the car and trying to locate an owner. What did they find? Why another fake gun of course. That same cop said “And if he had pulled this; I would have shot him again”. There is a saying… Being stupid should hurt”. In this case it did; but apparently didn’t work.

If they decide it’s a problem, they will simply legislate that the state change its shape. And they will legislate that anyone wanting to do business in the state, or ship product into the state; pay for it. So, in their minds; it’s a pretty easy fix. I mean after all, what company wouldn’t want to spend a big chunk of their profits to be allowed to do business in California?

WD40 is terrible stuff. It wasn’t allowed in most shops I worked in. You certainly don’t want it in the internals of a gun unless you are going to completely remove all of it and lubricate every part. It’s also flammable and many Ultrasonic units offer heat. However, that’s high drama in the gun community because people want to use it. All I can say is do your homework.

I let my metal gun parts soak overnight in M-Pro 7. They are much easier to clean the next day. I buy this stuff by the gallon and am wondering if I bought a Ultrasonic cleaner, how this would work as a cleaning agent?? It’s non-flammable.

People have been using the “See something say something” idea for years; Police Departments depend on it for crime detection. Most of us are normal everyday people with good morale values that will report a crime when we see it, or suspect it is going to happen. There are some neighborhoods where that doesn’t happen, but it isn’t because they are afraid of violating someone’s rights. If someone accuses you, it’s going to start an investigation; not an automatic seizure of your weapons. I only support Red Flag laws because they could provide Due Process that is not there now. Will those laws be abused? Possibly, probably rarely, and those will be in family situations that are your problem, not ours. That’s why I’m okay with leaving the laws the way they are; they take your guns if they think you are a threat and you may or may not get them back. We all are, what are some of your suggestions or doing that?

Having a 2nd amendment day is cool. But I doubt it could be voted in. I don’t open carry, and I don’t think any kind of group demonstration is a good idea either. Can you imagine some of the nut cases on our side the news crews could find to speak on camera? Unless the Supreme Court of the United States and the United States Constitution is done away with; I have no concern about the Feds taking my guns. That’s the reason for celebration, right? Now the state is another story. Tennessee could decide to outlaw my AR’s; but I doubt that will happen either.

It’s gone. Dismissed I would assume.

It’s nice to be able to be prepared for anything; some departments can afford it; some can’t. I remember when some folks were up in arms about PD’s getting surplus armored vehicles from the Military. What in the world could a local PD need an armored vehicle for they asked. Well…. the people trapped in the bathrooms at Pulse Nightclub are alive because a Bearcat breeched the wall, allowed them to get out and Officers to get in and end the massacre. We live in a time of local cops needing armored vehicles, Explosives, and Barrett .50 Cal rifles.

Of course if Corey Booker were to get elected all that would change; according to him. It’s a good thing he’s a clown and we don’t have to worry about him getting elected. I know there are departments that now have call history to alert them to previous problems at a house; I can see where that would be a great thing to have. I may be naive, but I just can’t see anyone, especially someone in LE risking going to prison over an illegal database. There is just nothing there for them to gain. I guess it’s possible, but more than one person would have to be willing to do it.

It has a big barrel; my guess would be a tear gas launcher.

The government doesn’t have immunity on criminal charges. Also, the Feds can’t pardon someone on State charges and vice-versa. Ha, Ha, Ha, I’m just throwing that out. I understand that if someone believes that government officials can do whatever they want; no amount of discussion will change that; but its fun.

If there was a “secret” registry somewhere wouldn’t that be a violation of both State and Federal law? And wouldn’t those responsible be subject to arrest and imprisonment on both State, and Federal charges?

What is changing here is that law enforcement is being allowed to do their job instead of having to worry about politics. Why? Because that’s what Americans want. In the past you have had plenty of people that want to argue that “That really wasn’t a threat”, or “He didn’t threaten a specific person, so there is no victim”. Those people are being told to sit down and shut up and the courts and the suspects peers will deal with it. Will it help? Sure, it may stop some shootings. But it won’t stop them. It won’t stop the nut case that doesn’t talk to anyone, and doesn’t post crap on Facebook; like Paddock or Lanza. In the stories I saw in the last few days it seems to me (or maybe I was just feeling guilty) that the press spends more time on how many weapons or ammo the people had, than on what they intended to do.

I bet they hate getting people that are paying attention. That’s why I dumped them many years ago. I wanted to fight my arrest for nothing other than having a gun in my car. My attorneys said it would cost a bunch, as it had already been decided at the Federal District Court level and would have to go to the SCOTUS. I went to the NRA for help and they told me they don’t involved in criminal cases. I asked; even when that crime is simply having a gun? They said “Yes”. They have done a lot of good, but too many folks think Congress and the Courts “Fear” them. No one fears them; they just have (or had) the financial ability to fight gun cases in court. Its all about money; it’s always about money.

Doug, I know you discussed a lot your options for TV, but I don’t remember what you ended up with. Are you just using an outdoor antenna or what? What did you end up with for internet? Do you have data limits?
