Whaaaat?? You mean it doesn’t work like guns; the more you spend the better you shoot? That’s just crazy. Or… do you mean it is like guns and a good guitar player can still be good with a cheap guitar?

We were discussing this on another site and I wanted to bring it up here (again) so maybe…LPA or one of our American manufacturers gets the idea. I want these sights. But they don’t make them for the M&P’s….yet. They are made by LPA, an Italian Company, and sold by various companies here. Maybe one of our American companies will step up. I don’t know why anyone that is target shooting with open sights would want dots over these. But so be it… I just want a choice, everyone doesn’t need to use the same thing. I didn’t have to put a new trigger on the latest M&P carry gun I bought, so I can spend some money putting a good set of sights on it, for when I want to use it for target shooting. I understand why you may want dots on a carry gun (maybe, kinda, okay not at all, but that’s neither here nor there); but we aren’t talking carry guns....necessarily. White outlined sights with a red ramp that S&W used for decades would be great. We were told dots are better than these. Nothing could be farther from the truth. https://www.lpasights.com/en/ https://www.fusionfirearms.com/colt-series-80-1241

They don’t have to pick a side. But The first of the El Paso lawsuits has been filed against Wal-Mart; A lawsuit was filed against Kroger last month. So why wouldn’t they? Has any gun groups offered to help or take up collections for legal costs? My guess is no. Neither me nor any of these stores have an issue with me shopping there while I’m armed. That must be the case because no one has ever said anything to me. But I’m supposed to boycott them because they are asking people not to open carry? As I said before I smile when I see these people open carrying; they are sacrificial lambs that buy me time to respond. I don’t hate them; but right now, they are putting the privilege my state has sold to me at risk. Is this even an issue? I rarely see anyone open carrying. And let’s be honest. Does anyone think a boycott by gun owners will work, or that gun owners will even participate? It may make an individual feel better, and that’s fine; but it will have zero impact on the store. They won’t miss you. I remember when Cheaper Than Dirt jacked their ammo prices through the roof during a shortage. Why, the gun community was outraged. Never again would anyone buy anything from CTD. CTD is still around, doing fine I would guess, and plenty of people that were around then buying from them. So people are going to turn down cheap stuff at Walmart or the best price or quality of Groceries at Kroger? Please. I know the NRA is too busy right now, either trying to save themselves or committing suicide; not sure which. But one of the national gun groups needs to step up and start a fund to pay the legal costs for Walmart and Kroger to defend themselves in these latest lawsuits. I’d donate, I don’t shop at Walmart, but my wife shops at Kroger and that won’t change.

How many lawsuits have there been go to trial? How many lawsuits have been settled out of court with neither side being allowed to comment on the settlement?

I’d do it if I had an airplane. Maybe every year.

Who is your internet provider? Do they offer anything?

Microsoft says it is. I use Norton because that is what Xfinity includes now. I’ve used both Norton and McAfee the last several years. They have both saved me a few times. No virus software is 100%. Any of them could be hit by the latest ransomware; and the chances are pretty good you have lost everything on that machine. That’s why I use multiple backups with multiple external and internal hard drives. I use Acronis backup software. It’s a hard drive imaging software; I use that because I don’t want to have to reload all my applications if I must restore from a backup. Safe computing techniques can also save your butt. So, my opinion is, no, no single antivirus is sufficient protection. But if I was going to use a free one; Windows Defender would be my first choice. No matter which one you use; you are as good as your last backup, that is not on the machine in question. I have had more hard drive mechanical failures with a potential for loss of data than I have had losses due to virus.

That's okay, I just thought you might already have some, and I would post them up for you.

PA Vet and collector - Latest victim of the media fear machine
DaveTN replied to Erich's topic in General Chat
I’ve posted here many times that if someone can’t handle their own family business; the cops will do it for you if you call them. You think you don’t like some of my opinions here; think about all the people that had to deal with me showing up and taking over running their family for them. Most didn’t like the outcome. -
Try to get word out if you guys need us to put any money in your commissary account or anything.

Having gone through this with family members and watching friends go through it, there are far worse things than worrying about someone’s gun collection once their mind starts going. I’m sure the family has reasons for what they are doing. Of course, no one is interested in hearing that story, it wouldn’t get nearly as much discussion as the perception the government was seizing this guy’s guns. The real shame here, besides his probable condition, is that families are not aware that the Police don’t need to be involved in this. Too often they don’t know how to handle it, and because guns are involved they call the Police. -

We do. I use to have to go through a ritual to get my 78 Pace Car renewed. -

I turned 45 recently and this was the present I got myself
DaveTN replied to mav's topic in General Chat
It happens at 40. Usually the night of your birthday. Some of you guys got extra years of freedom. But now its time to go get glasses; sorry. -
It happens a lot in drug warrants. They can search anywhere drugs can be; which is everywhere. The majority of law-abiding citizens aren’t worried about the cops executing a search warrant on them. This guy made what was perceived to be threats that put all this in motion; a Judge or jury can make the call on that. He is a mental case, so there is a good possibility he will simply be committed for treatment for awhile and he can be back out to try again.
-
Sure they can. Right now a lot of them don’t want to change background checks; they want to require them for private sales. As I’m seeing the story reported a bump stock had nothing to do with this guys arrest; it was simply an additional charge after a search warrant was executed. He started playing on the phone and when they investigated him, they saw the refusals he lied on. They had him at that point.
-
I Wouldn't think ICE would be doing the investigation once the scopes were out of the country?
-
I’m sure they will; they refused to unlock the phone of a terrorist that had just killed 14 Americans and injured 22. Google on the other hand has a dilemma; they have the opportunity to possibly put some weapons owners in prison. What’s a liberal to do?

None of those. Those are all electric acoustics. So, when you start becoming a Rock Star you will have to buy a new one anyway. So just tell her to bring this home. You know, like you say…buy once, cry once. https://www.gibson.com/Guitar/CUSCPA862/SG-Custom-2-Pickup-w-Ebony-Fingerboard-Gloss
