  1. Now we know where the fake moon landing videos were made.
  2. Don't get out of the truck. Make them chase you down.
  3. For real! The other night some guys carrying on about this guy having “thousands” of rounds of ammo, and says “Who does that? Who has that much ammo?” And that was on FOX! Man I’m looking around all nervous, the dog looks at me like “I told you!” and walks in the other room.
  4. This is interesting, I never knew this... The Great BOATLIFT of 9/11....
  5. A bunch of 3rd graders playing with a shotgun. People would stroke out if that were posted today.
  6. Yes, some things you don’t forget. We all came together and were a nation united for a time. Sadly we aren’t anymore.
  7. Well sure, if you are living at the foot of the cross. I'm not.
  8. .357 Mag is my favorite handgun round. However, making it semi auto is impractical. What is not impractical is making the .357 Mag into a rimless without changing it ballistically. Of course then you have two different rounds. So then you might as well go with other available choices; .223, .30 Carbine, 300 Blackout, or the King .308 Winchester for your carbine. But you are certainly going about it the right way. Get a group of people to tell MechTech they will buy one; and it just may happen. Good luck.
  9. You have to shoot them to see. Repeatability between the slide (Sights) and the barrel is what matters. Too tight of a fit and you can lock up when it get hot. Too loose and it may not repeat. Although many folks say theirs does. However… micro guns are belly guns not target guns. Nothing wrong with that; that’s just their application. Dependability not accuracy would be my concern with a short barrel 1911. I don’t know anything about that SIG, but I would research it instead of a 1911 if you want a micro.
  10. I thought I wanted a scoped revolver. But all of my centerfires are S&W pre-locks that I didn’t want to Drill &Tap. I was kicking around the idea of a new 686, they are drilled & tapped for a scope mount from the factory. But then I looked at my 617 and saw that it was factory drilled & tapped. So I guess I’ll try it on a rimfire first. Should get to try this out this weekend.
  11. I was called a Fudd when I didn't care.
  12. You will have half of them that can’t start a war because they have to work that weekend, and the other half can’t go because their wife said they had to mow the grass.
  13. I can’t open carry in any Mall, and now I can’t open carry in a grocery store. Concealed means concealed. Got it. The next big drama issue I expect to see is that in this state I suspect if they call the cops the cops are going to tell them they have to legally post their property. Now its not just open carry; but concealed as well.
  14. I don’t get to go now. My wife goes by herself because she says I buy too much “stuff”.
  15. I remember riding around listening to Abraxas on 8-track. ....But I was driving not my dad.
  16. That’s not true, that’s ridiculous. Cops don’t randomly pick people to enforce weapons confiscations on; most cops are good people and would not do that. Most red flag laws are the result of family members that can’t handle their own family problems. Cops can’t hold court on the street; they are charged with removing the threat as best they can; that’s what they do. The lawyers, the courts, and the family can then battle it out. Someone has to call the Police and make a complaint, if you have a problem with it your problem is with that person; not the Police. Police are not family problem solvers; they are law enforcement Officers. But they will always go look at the situation and do the best they can. Sometimes when family members call cops because someone is threatening suicide or homicide; things go wrong and people get killed. Sometimes it’s the person making the threats, sometimes it’s the cops, sometimes it’s the family members, and sometimes its innocent citizens going about their daily routine. Threats of violence is not protected speech. Online threats have not been taken seriously in the past. I suspect you are about to see that change. Calls from witnesses that see these threats online will be looked at. If someone needs to go interview that person, or arrest them for their threats; I assume that will happen. If it makes it though the responding Officers, the Detectives, the DA, and a preliminary hearing; their Peers will decide if they were threats or not. I agree that the "domestic terrorist" stuff is ridiculous. It’s like “hate crime” laws; they aren’t necessary and are more politics than anything. The guy in Missouri had intent to cause panic; he committed a crime. But he was an idiot and his crime was disorderly conduct. He was charged with terrorism to make an example. Will he be convicted of that? Of course not he will be offered a plea to plead guilty to a misdemeanor like disorderly conduct and it will be over. That’s what happens to idiots. We have laws against murder, threatening people with violence, pulling guns on people, etc. We can arrest violent people without violating anyone’s rights and without needing any new laws. What we need is either new prisons or clear out the non-violent offenders in the ones we have if we must make room. People that threaten to kill other people don't need to be walking free.
  17. What did you get for being the 2nd high bidder?
  18. See if this helps... And as Oh Shoot pointed out in that thread you don’t need to use the “Insert image” function, you can just copy and paste the “BBCode” link.
  19. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeffersontown_Kroger_shooting 10 people have been killed in 18 shootings in Kroger since 1991.

It happens that way a lot. I know a guy who is alive today because of a magazine disconnect. One of the best inventions ever….for that guy. I like em.
  21. Walmart and Kroger are businesses; they don’t really have a dog in this fight; other than being sued for people getting shot in their stores. They both have tried to stay out of it by saying they would go by whatever the local law is. But now going by whatever the local law is; doesn’t give them any immunity from the lawsuits. And that is wrong. I have no idea who they would or wouldn’t accept help from. I just know that it is wrong to boycott a business for not recognizing a right that our own state doesn’t recognize. Common sense tells me that. These stores are not the bad guys in this and when we make them out to be; everyone loses.
  22. Most people that drove VW’s smoked a lot of dope. Check the car carefully, but if you smell something burning; it’s probably just weed. Matter of fact you might want to have the local K-9 make a run around it. Other than that; you should be good to go. Not in any hurry of course.
  23. Holly cow, you had a Ralph Nader "Unsafe at Any Speed" car. That’s cool.
  24. They are cheap to produce, (same reason you have Glock's and M&P’s instead of steel guns) beyond that the article I linked below explains a lot. My desires are different than many others. I do not need sights of any kind on a self defense handgun. I train with point instinct for defensive shooting. I use sights for target shooting. I don’t think there are many people that could with a straight face claim dot sights are more accurate than a white outlined slot with a post. But they also need to be adjustable; and that adds cost. I also am not asking for anyone to have to pick one over the other. Adjustable sights cost more. That’s why you only see them on higher end guns. M&P’s, Glocks, and other Tupperware guns are as low as you can go on the quality chain and still have something you can trust. They are below $500. Cost is critical. I’m willing to pay $100 for a set of sights like shown in the pic above. I could be the only one and that may be why we don’t have them. But I’m willing to bet someone offers them and they are a hot item. I believe that because I have used them. https://www.studentofthegun.com/articles/flash-report/3-dot-sights-suck-everyone-wants/ [Flash Report] 3 Dot Sights Suck, and Everyone Wants Them.
