They do make some good guns, but the XD isn’t one of them; never was. That’s why I wondered where this gun was made, or if they are making it. Springfield Armory was never anything but the importer of the XD, made by HS Produkt in Croatia. They do however make some 1911’s and the M1A. Springfield Armory was one of the most famous arsenals’ in this country's history. The company using the name now has zero to do with that famous armory.

Is it made by Springfield Armory in the USA, or it just another import?

On Target In Murfreesboro has one listed on AL for $176.

I’m expecting it with TOP GUN. I mean for heavens sake it’s TOP GUN!! Everyone keeps telling me it will be terrible. But they also told me Trump couldn’t possibly be elected; so there still hope. It’s TOP GUN!!

If no one here can help you I would check shotgunworld.com. I saw stories that Elmer Keith said if you sent it in for anything Winchester would send you a new Model 12 pump gun with a note telling you to forget about the autoloader! I have no idea if thats true or not, I jut saw it several places.

I would never refuse a gun from my transfer FFL. He’s getting $20 for doing the transfer; that’s it. I would have to deal with MFG, or the seller, depending on what the problem is. So yes, if you want to inspect a gun prior to buying you need to wait until your LGS has one. I got an M&P with a terrible trigger doing that. But I’ve done it several times since.

I didn’t believe from the beginning the ATF has the authority to decide that a device that could enable a semi-auto to fire a full auto rates was legal. It should have been presented to the lawmakers and let them decide if the law needed to be changed. That’s their job, not the job of some clown in an ATF office. I don’t know much about how civil law cases work, but I’m pretty sure Congress and the BATF will fix their screw ups and move on. I would guess that will end the lawsuits; but that’s just a guess. The possibility exists that when congress changes the wording in the definition of a machine gun the statute it will impact something we do care about.

Well now I know that because mine are all stuffy not fluffy.

Yep, and it’s not unusual for the Officer knocking on your door, or showing up at your job to arrest you for felony assault; to not be the Officers that took the initial report.

Clarification on laws about carrying with no permit
DaveTN replied to dawgdoc's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
I don’t know what to say; other than your friend needs to study more. I would have simply asked him what statute covered that. What you are saying you friend said is just glaring ignorance. He may well be the only cop in the state than thinks that; so, he really isn’t a good example. Look…When we trained rookie cops, we let them handle calls so they would learn. When they said or did things that were wrong or stupid; we corrected them. Sometimes in front of the person they were talking to, or sometimes later if it was unimportant at the time. If I was present when your friend told a permit holder that non-sense; I would have made it clear to the permit holder that wasn’t the case. It’s exactly like anti-gun folks when a permit holder does something wrong. Let them get just a whiff of that and they will beat that horse to death…forever. -

I wonder if anyone, anywhere, ever, that has a written trust, has been told their trust wasn’t legally correct and their weapons seized?

Castle Doctrine is a set of principles not a law. Tennessee doesn’t have a duty to retreat and hasn’t in the 20+ years I have been here. Castle doctrine does not require proving intent in a intruder’s mind. It is assumed you were in danger. However… if the DA can provide evidence to over come the assumption you were in danger; you have a problem. You can have a gun in your car because Tennessee law allows it. If you are found to be justified in the use of deadly force in this state; weapons charges do not apply. So, it really doesn’t matter where the gun was if you need it. However, Castle Doctrine principles apply to you vehicle. If someone attacks you for no reason in a road rage incident (unlikely) you can protect yourself if they attempt to enter your vehicle. However…if you are a willing participant in a road rage incident; you could have problems. I would never use deadly force on someone outside my vehicle unless they were threatening me with a gun. I would wait until they forced entry. And If my loudmouth or temper got me in that situation; I’d take an azz whipping before I’d pull a gun. The bottom line is; there are no free fire zones. Stick with the following and you should be okay for most any state. You can use deadly force if a reasonable person (that means a Judge or jury) believes you are in immediate danger of death or great bodily harm.

Order placed. The first Amazon Leadership Principle is customer obsession. I guess they have decided gun owners aren’t worth obsessing over. I wonder how they justify that to themselves? I wonder if the judge other groups; like lifestyle choices. It pizzes me off that Federal elected officials are acting as thugs and intimidating a private business that is selling legal products. And who do they think they are giving Amazon a “No later than” date to answer those questions. I’d tell them to pizz up a rope. Of course why would I think they would be doing their job? The idiots that signed that letter have done nothing except try to impeach our duly elected President. What they are doing is Malfeasance in office and is an impeachable offense. -
I promise if I gave up my AR it would not make your kids or grandkids safer. A one night ride-along with his local PD, and even he would probably figure out that people won’t simply obey the law. What the heck am I saying?? He knows that better than most; he’s been cuffed and stuffed more than once. There are laws against driving drunk and burglary in all states.

No, and they’ll all pull my pants down if I don’t have a good belt on.

Lets blame Ronald_55; he started it.

I had to lookup what ethereal meant to see if my guns are. Nope, none of mine are.
