The Nyclad was just to help prevent leading. Cleaning prevents leading. I mean…it’s a 1 7/8” Airweight; its not like it’s a range gun…. right?

Terry Walden's range at Manchester has separate rifle and pistol ranges. The rifle range is 328 Yards (300 Meters). I haven’t been there in a while; last time I was there I think it was $10. It’s right by Exit 105 off I-24 1862 Sixteenth Model Rd, Manchester, Tennessee, Call (931) 728-0223 https://www.facebook.com/Terry-Walden-Gunsmith-and-More-463632530390794/ ============================================== There is also the OK Corral at Woodbury. I’ve not been there yet. http://okcshootingrange.com/ Also looks like we will be getting a range with 100 yard INDOOR range in Murfreesboro.

I just brushed over the rules, but it specifically says several times for Coyotes that you must use a firearm that is legal for whatever is in season. You can download publications here... http://www.eregulations.com/tennessee/hunting/

Gov. Bill Lee to proclaim Oct. 10 day of prayer & fasting
DaveTN replied to Dirtshooter's topic in General Chat
Okay, So what happens when the SCOTUS rules that any American anywhere can strap on a gun and walk down the street….and states refuse?? Tennessee would probably be one of those states. -

Okay, I don’t think “Reasonable Restrictions” comply with “shall not be infringed”; yet here we are?? -
I'm getting a live trap today from my BIL. I have a big Groundhog in may yard. And for being fat he can move pretty fast. My Doberman has almost caught him a couple of times; I don't want that to happen.

Gov. Bill Lee to proclaim Oct. 10 day of prayer & fasting
DaveTN replied to Dirtshooter's topic in General Chat
It’s clear to you because you both know what you want it to mean. We all know the arguments that are made both ways. Help me out here, because my thing in school was math, not punctuation or writing. "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." Does the comma after Militia not mean the statements that follow it support the statements before it? And don’t you think that if the founding Fathers meant that the 2nd was there so the people could arm themselves to overthrow their own oppressive government; they would have addressed that? Unless their intent was to protect a Militia made up of citizens and guarantee their right to keep and bear arms; their intent is not clear at all. And saying it is doesn’t make it so. -

That's bad news if you apply it to the 2nd. -

Things Just Got Interesting at the ATF and the DOJ!

We are absolutely in for dark times. Look around at the number of people on this very forum that have said they won’t vote for Trump. No other Republican will be running, and no member of any other party will have a chance. I don’t like Trump as a person, but I think he has done a great job and is pro gun. Am I going to turn my back on him over a bump stock decision that he only had to make because some idiots at the BATF were allowed to be involved in decision making? Of course not. -
Dang man, I used a FFL I haven’t used before, because they are closer to the house. I saw from the tracking the gun was delivered. They are closed for 12 days of renovations.

Shield prices are pretty low right now I would think an additional $50 off might help some folks.

California adopts nation's broadest gun seizure laws
DaveTN replied to The Legion's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Wow, never thought I would agree with the ACLU about anything. So I guess if you uncomfortable around a co-worker, and they have not threatened you, you can pull this off?? So much for due process. -
Things Just Got Interesting at the ATF and the DOJ!
DaveTN replied to Moped's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
The economy was the #1 issue for Americans in the last election, and it was the #1 issue for Trump when he got in office. The economy is headed in the right direction, and if it stays that way until the election it won’t be the main issue. The main issue for the Democrats will be guns, opening the border will be #2. Should a Democrat be elected, especially one of the far-left idiots that is running now; we are toast. They will at the very least ban the sales of Semi-automatic firearms. Yeah, think about that. I would bet nothing is Grandfathered. “Buy back”? They try to make it sound like they would pay you for your gun. I bet they would; they would give you a $25 gift card for your $1200 AR. So…the dems would like to take away your right to defend yourself, and then allow violent criminals to cross the border. They are so ignorant that they think they will be safe in their mansions and gated communities. When they were showing the demonstrators the other night in Minneapolis, I saw someone carrying a sign that said “EAT THE RICH”. How stupid is that??As someone that has dealt with many violent offenders, I don’t think the Dems are aware of what is in store for them if they get their way. The SCOTUS will be the only protection we will have on gun control. But how long it would take them to act or what their decisions would be is anybody’s guess. -

DaveTN replied to Moped's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
That’s not going to happen. The Dems will be falling all over themselves to get legislation to stop this to the floor. Republicans would have to agree with it, and it would cause them to lose some far right voters. The ATF has shown that they don’t have the intelligence to make decisions according to the law. So that needs to be left to Congress. Their decision on bump stocks showed they don’t have basic legal interpretation skills. So the Justice Department had to step in and Trump lost some voters on the far right. Will it be enough to matter? Who knows, but this is just more of get Trump at any cost. -

Interesting that while we discuss our governor proclaiming a day of prayer & fasting; Beto threatens tax-exempt status of churches if they don't support same-sex marriage. What is the term the Dems have been repeating constantly this last week? Oh yea, “Quid Pro Quo”. -
What to do with my SBR (AR).

I don’t know what you mean by “better” than .300Blk. Isn’t short barrel, sub sonic what that round is for? If I was going to suppress something, I would think I would want the best round I could get that was sub sonic off the shelf. .45ACP? -
He’s another one of those 9MM lost souls that desperately want people to believe .40S&W is going by the wayside. Don’t hate on him; try to help him get his mind right. But you know what… I’ve been shooting for 50 years and I’ve never came close to “shooting out” a barrel or shooting a gun to failure. I would guess that’s true for most on this forum. The other observation I have made is… if you shoot out a barrel; buy a new one. Because the cost of that barrel is miniscule compared to the cost of the ammo it would take to shoot it to inaccuracy.

Gov. Bill Lee to proclaim Oct. 10 day of prayer & fasting
DaveTN replied to Dirtshooter's topic in General Chat
A person would have to research where that term came from and what it means. It does not mean that religion can’t be involved in our government; because it is. The death penalty, abortion, war, the treatment of prisoners, politicians lying, morality, and the list goes on and on of areas where religion is either involved in our government or should be. The problem comes from those who fear religion. If our government acknowledges the presence of a higher being (Which it does), then they have a problem; they think “We the People” and our government must think less of them because they do not believe. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Any Christian will try to help them. What they do not understand is that we will not succumb to their fears and ban any talk of religion or outlaw any religious acts. Even when they use a term they really don’t understand because they don’t know the history of it. However, arguing religion on a gun form is like the caliber wars. No matter how much evidence you present there will still be those lost souls that insist on using 9mm. But we will still shoot with them. Just because they aren’t big enough to handle the more powerful calibers, or they have to buy what their wives or girlfriends want; we still respect them, we just feel sorry for them. -
Thanks...started looking at those and also found the 2206; they all look like good options.

I would bet a good Gunsmith won’t want to take your money. A J-Frame has a heavy trigger by design. It can be smoothed up to what some people will perceive as a little, but not much. Nowhere near the silky smooth trigger you can get on a K,L,or N frame.
