  1. Call Metro and ask to speak with a Command Officer. “they sent an officer out last night who said all he could do was make another report” As a former cop, I don’t know what that means. Does that mean the person there denied any knowledge? They don’t have anything more important to do than getting a stolen gun off the streets. Unfortunately, you may have to follow-up to get them to do their job. Most cops aren’t like that; but some are. Or…as suggest you can contact the BATF and see if they want to help you.

  3. Corel PaintShop Pro X6 (64-bit)
  4. I had no idea graphics programs would distinguish pictures on money and not open them. I took some pictures of a couple of knives laying on $20 bill to show size. Both Adobe Photoshop Elements and Corel PaintShop Pro would not open them; Paint & Paint 3D would. Big Brother is watching. Who knew!! Adobe Photoshop Elements message: Corel PaintShop Pro message:
  5. DM Bullard makes really quality holsters; I was very impressed. Don’t forget to check out their “Dual Carry”. It can be used as either IWB or OTW. This is my M&P40C in one.
  6. Thanks, same to you. USS Ponce LPD-15 USS Holland AS-32 183d Tactical Fighter Group
  7. This is my Gerber PARAFRAME MINI. I call it my “Illinois knife” because I can’t carry an auto knife when I go there; so I carry this. I saw it in Rural King on sale for like $10 a few years ago. I was pretty sharp when I got it, and still is. It’s been a good knife. https://www.gerbergear.com/en-us/shop/knives/all-knives/paraframe-mini-stainless-plain-edge-22-08485 This is my Protech Magic BR-1 "Whiskers" Automatic Knife that I carry when I am here. http://www.protechknives.com/product/br-1-7/ I think it was about $180 when I got it.
  8. Thanks Garufa, I guess I should have posted the question here a long time ago.
  9. Never heard of it until now, but that's half of what it can be ordered online for. That's less than WWB range ammo.

It's pretty much the same specs as my 32" LG; I'm happy with it. I run Nvidia Quadro graphics with big CAD files. Are you going to use 4K? I'd put that extra hundred in a PC.

Also the cost of quality portable hard drives is low; $50 or less will get you a quality portable hard drive, Best Buy even has a Western Digital 5TB on sale for $90. I use the 1TB or 2TB because I create an Acronis Survival kit for each PC I have; that requires a dedicated portable drive for that PC. I can’t say enough good about Acronis back-up software. You can buy cheaper, but you can’t buy better. It has saved me a few times and also quickly got me going again when a hard drive failed. A hard drive failure is rare, but it does happen. And when it does; you have what you had on your last backup, and that’s it. You also have to decide if it does happen, do you want to reinstall and re-setup everything, or do you want to simply reinstall from an image and roll on.

Is just being able to get on the net and get email OK? Or do you want to do other stuff? My tablet had to be a Windows OS, I had/have a Dell. My sister sent me her 1st gen surface to upgrade so I could use it on a trip I was going on. I didn’t want to carry my 17” laptop around NY City. But wanted something more than my phone. Both were 32GB and that just won’t do anymore. I looked at tablets, but for the money I went with a Dell Inspiron 11” 2-in-1 Touchscreen laptop with a 500GB hard drive. It’s no bigger than most tablets, but it’s a full Windows 10 OS. I got it on sale at Office Depot, It was around $200. But it can do anything, including being a portable hard drive for storing all your digital stuff while traveling. I had to laugh today, I got an email today about the new Pixelbook Go. The 64GB is $650 and the 256GB “coming soon” is $1400. These are web interfaces that can’t run a Windows program, who are they selling these to? I sure Apple has something to offer to take your money. But I have no idea what it would be.
  13. I asked this 5 years ago on another forum and never got an answer. So I’ll ask it here. Anyone know the barrel OD diameter in the area shown?

Or…for $99 a year you can get Office 365 which allows 6 users to have 5 devices EACH and each user has 1TB of Cloud storage for a total of 6TB. When I started looking at updating my Microsoft Office and looking at cloud storage; that was a no brainer.

I run a 24”,27” and the 32”. I’m about 30” from them. I ran a 42” TV for my programming monitor for a while. But I had to get farther away from it. I replaced it with this 32.

A couple of other things you might want to keep in mind. That Lenovo 310s has an AMD Processor and only 4GB of ram. Unless you absolutely have to be down in the $200 range; neither of those things are something you will want. Hard drive size/type?? What do you need? Some of those laptops you are looking at only have a 128GB. Do you take pictures? have music? use Office and keep documents? Keep gun documentation and PDF’s? 128GB isn’t much with Windows 10 and its updates. Size really does matter. (Even a 256GB is small) Do you need a CD/DVD Drive? Are you going to install any software on CD/DVD? Play/make music CD’s? Put pics on CD?

There are several, a laptop or a desktop? I’d jump on that LG 32” Monitor (32MP58HQP) for $129. That’s the one I paid $169 for on sale, and I’m really happy with it.
  18. In .308 A’s I have owned a DPMS Panther and now own a DPMS 308 Recon LR-GII. I’ve never had an issue with either. I only sold the Panther because it had an A2 front sight post I didn’t want (I use optics on most everything), also DPMS changed the specs of their lowers and had different heights. That became an issue when trying to buy accessories; so I sold it and got the current model. I’m very happy with it, other than the scope I put on it. The main piece of advice I would give you is that there isn’t a Mil-Std for the AR-10. That makes aftermarket options much more expensive than for a Mil-Std AR. So it will cost you less if you get the options you want, on the rifle from the factory when you buy it. I own many firearms that serve many different applications. But if I had to pick and keep only one rifle; it would be my DPMS 308 Recon LR-GII; it serves most any purpose. https://dpms-gii.com/full.html
  19. Refrigerator Magnets and Chocolate Ammo. Pretty clever idea.
  20. Dang man, that's harsh. Now my feelings are hurt.
  21. BS! that’s fake news, you sound like Adam Schiff. If you had a chance to get your hands on a Dodge Charger or Challenger Hellcat, you would be grinning ear to ear. Any man would. The only ones that say they wouldn’t are those that are sad because they know it will never happen to them; because they just aren’t cool enough.
  22. When my wife told me she wanted to “Go look at” Doberman puppies. I said “No one goes and looks at puppies”; you go buy puppies. Same thing for me with guns.
  23. I absolutely would be if it had “Dodge” in front of it.
