  1. I think this is more about investor hand holding and less about liability. When a company gets sued, everybody involved in any, shape, or form is named. Playing a “Name Game” will have Zero impact on liability. So yes, it’s a coincidence, it’s not based on a SCOTUS decision made 3 days ago.
  2. Have you checked for your ammo online? Most have free shipping if you are buying over 500-1000 rounds. I used to go to the gun shows, Murfreesboro is probably the best in the Midstate. Most of my gun shopping is done online now, both new and used. However, here are a couple I would like to check out. The one in Virginia is next week. Wanenmacher Tulsa Arms Show APRIL 4 & 5, 2020 http://www.tulsaarmsshow.com/ THE NATION'S GUN SHOW November 22, 23 & 24, 2019 Dulles Expo Center 4320 Chantilly Shopping Center Chantilly, VA 20153 https://www.thenationsgunshow.com/
  3. So tell them to leave them out. Now get that wallet out....
  4. I don’t see them losing any capital? They just aren’t changing the name like they planned. Which I thought was a bad idea anyway.
  5. FOX is showing “NEWS CONFERENCE SOON”. Suspect is in custody.
  6. This is pretty cool. I don’t shoot competitively anymore, so I can’t justify the cost of one of these, but to me they are an excellent example of the shift in gun making. There is very little old school conventional “Gunsmithing” going on at Ed Brown. But there is a lot of high performance, high accuracy machining by quality Machinists, Programmers, and QA inspectors. I’ve spent my life in manufacturing. I’ve heard it all like “Things aren’t made as good as in the old days”, something must be right because “It is CNC machined” or something is special because it was “Designed in CAD”. I just smile when I see these kinds of statements. Truth is, we have far surpassed any that could be done quality wise in “the old days”. Unless someone is doing “One off” protype work or working in their garage; most everything is “CNC Machined”. And everything is “Designed in CAD”. Does that mean everything today is better than it was in the past? Absolutely not. These technologies still rely on the Machinists and the programmers (many times the same person) using them. CNC machines can make junk, and they can make it fast. These CNC machines only do what they programmer tells them to do. If he programs the part wrong; the machine will make it wrong. CNC machines are high drama. They require Machinists and Programmers that are on top of every little detail, every single minute. They require inspectors that are checking all critical dimensions, all the time. If you have high accuracy, quality machines, and you have the best Machinists and Programmers. You can make extremely accurate parts that don’t require any hand fitting; they fit together to extremely tight tolerances and work every time. In 1992 Ed Brown quit gunsmithing and went strictly design and manufacture. He retired at 65 and turned the business over to his family. With what he put in place; it can carry on. So, what does this mean to you? Well, it means you can buy a high-quality competition for gun for $2K instead of 10K. It also means if you need a replacement part, it can be shipped to you and dropped in without requiring a gunsmith. Sorry for the trip down memory lane, this isn't something new, but when I saw this; I saw a good example of a positive change with people involved that are dedicated to quality. I don’t own one of these guns, but I’d sure like to; I bet they are really something. Why doesn’t Smith & Wesson or Glock or anyone else do this? Because then they can’t sell their guns for $300-$400. But change is happening on a daily basis; someday they will. https://www.edbrown.com/fueled-series/
  7. I have a brand new Kydex Crossbreed SuperTuck in a package in the closet. I tried Kydex, but I got tired of the cheap feel and look of Kydex, and announcing to everyone in the area every time my gun was pulled from the holster. So I decided to sell it and use leather holsters. I forgot and left it in my car the day a guy was suppose to look at it after work. It melted. The good news is Crossbreed replaced it. I been using leather holsters for over 40 years. And they still are the best tool for the job. Life is too short to wear ugly holsters, that make a lot of noise and can’t be left in the car should the need arise. I really like the leather holsters that have thumb breaks. But that’s the great thing about holsters….there are plenty of suppliers for both our preferences and whims. This my Desantis for my M2.0 Compact This is my Desantis for my Shield This is my Don Hume 717 that kits either my M&P40C or my Fullsize 40.
  8. I have absolutely no idea what that could do that all the other saws I already have can’t; but I may have to get one. You know…. just in case.
  9. That’s not true. Ford lowered the recommended tire pressure so the Explorer could pass the rollover tests. Firestone told them they couldn’t do that. They did it anyway and bunch of people died. There’s no evidence to imply fault by the victims. Fords lucky they weren't charged criminally. Not a good example to make your point with. But probably a good example of why corporations need to be held responsible.
  10. I can say this with absolute honesty… I wouldn’t go out on Black Friday if they were giving Shields away for free.
  11. Yep, and since PSA collects Tennessee sales tax, you will save a transfer and shipping at SMG&A if you are in East Tennessee.
  12. Palmetto State has 1.0 Shield for $199 after rebate or a 2.0 for $280 after rebate. https://palmettostatearmory.com/deals/smith-wesson-rebate-deals.html Don’t forget that S&W Shield 9mm $50 rebate ends on 12-08 and has to be submitted by 01-08
  13. Carry a fatter wad of cash....problem solved.
  14. So while your Doctor can’t give a family member information about your health without your permission; HIPPA allows them to give it to Google because it “enhances” your health care. Good grief. https://www.foxbusiness.com/money/google-data-ascension-health-care
  15. It’s coming. The technology exists to not allow you to start your car if your BAC is over the limit. As soon as the right people get killed by drunk drivers it will be required on new vehicles. Vehicles don’t enjoy Constitutional protection’s.
  16. I wonder if they cover advertising and marketing. No one is claiming anything is wrong with the product.
  17. We have, but this isn’t a case of it. If you had a photo with the serial number information sent from a phone number that could be traced to an address; that’s enough to get a search warrant. Of course none of that probably would have been necessary if the lazy azz Detective would have got out of his chair and went out to do his job, as most cops would, and talk to the guy. No wonder the public gets disgusted with the Police sometimes.

I’m just saying that is what the form says. If you decide to build an AR pistol; you have to do your research and be very careful. Someone at some point is going to be made an example of. The courts can choose to go by the law; not what the BATF says. Don't be the test dummy.
  19. At issue is the claim Remington targeted younger, violent males with combat themed advertising and hyper-masculine slogans. I don’t remember who I heard say it on the news, but something to the effect “In the 21st century the weapons will be lawyers and the bullets will be words.” If you can’t beat ‘em; sue ‘em into submission.

  21. I wonder why states don’t take the extra money? I tried to renew my Illinois FOID card. Even though I’m not required to have it; it would be less drama because I shoot more there than I do here. But nope, you have to sign saying you are a resident. States can only enforce their own state laws, so if a person is willing to sign saying they understand and will abide by those laws, and they meet all the requirements; what do they care if you are a resident or not?
  22. That’s never been truer than it is today.
