You wouldn't; the first line of my post addresses that. Those are the prices you would pay when you don't plan ahead. That has happened to me; that's why I was there buying ammo.

As far as using a brace as a stock, you just need to understand that the legality of that is based on an ATF ruling; not the written law. The ATF tells you on their web site that their rulings do not have force of law. If a Prosecutor decides to charge someone; that ruling will help the accused, but if the court disagrees with that ATF ruling; they are not bound by it. I’m not saying a brace is illegal. I’m saying if you are using a brace as a stock; LE and the courts are not bound by that ATF ruling. Knowing this information and reading the law is the only way a person can make an informed decision.

No one buys a 1911 because they are a .45. You buy them because they are a 1911.

You are welcome. The I/E thing was a joke. But your response tells me you weren’t high when you read it.

I said that all drug users are thieves and murderers? I will say that stoned or not "I before E except after C" is easy to remember.

First 2nd amm. case in a decade to go before SCOTUS
DaveTN replied to owejia's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/supreme-court/supreme-court-appears-unlikely-hand-victory-gun-rights-backers-2nd-n1094356 I doubt this will be the case that allows all Americans to slap on a gun and walk down the street. But you never know; at some point the SCOTUS needs to answer that question; even though they don’t want to. -
Anyone that believes state lines change beliefs, or that this can’t happen here; is only fooling themselves. (That’s not directed at you specifically AuEagle) Many here like to jump on Illinois as a state because they are ignorant about what goes on there and who controls the state. Three counties around Chicago have 50% of the population of the state, and are packed full of voters that rely on the government. The same thing is happening in Tennessee. We need to be aware of, and care about, what is going on in our state, and with Federal laws. The Democrats by their very nature are far more likely to vote than republicans. That has to change or we will be overrun with ignorant laws, more taxation, and bigger government with more control.

Not a book, but plenty of info here. https://www.midwayusa.com/how-to-guides/how-to-build-ar-15-rifle

Well....that too.

Sure, but now not only are you stuck with a Sig, but you are stuck with a 9MM Sig. I carry a Shield in the .40S&W. I know just the thought of firing that round scares the faint of heart, and the women and children. I also (Sometimes) carry a M2.0 40 Compact 4”. It has 13 rounds, but will take my 15 round full size mags. If I get into something 13 rounds of .40S&W can’t get me out of…. it was nice knowing you guys; I had a good ride. I also have a full size M&P 9mm. It does a great job of punching holes in paper and doesn’t scare the small children.
-
You should be ashamed. While 40S&W is the ultimate round for semi-auto carry handguns, and truly a miracle round; its not a rifle round. Your Carbine should be a .308 Winchester.

Correct. You will need to either look ahead to your needs and order online, or pay more locally. I’m hoping that Sportsman's Warehouse here in The Boro will take the place of Wal-mart for ammo. Their prices seem to be pretty close to WM, from what little I have seen. *******************9mm**************************** WWB 9mm Luger, 115 gr, FMJ, 200 round Range Pack, $44.99 WWB 9mm NATO, 124 gr, FMJ, 150 round Value Pack, $34.99 Remington UMC, 9mm Luger, FMJ, 115 Grain, 350 Rounds with Range Bucket, $79.99 ******************40S&W***************************** WWB, 40S&W, 165 gr, FMJ, 100 round Value Pack, $36.99 WWB, 40S&W, 165 gr, FMJ, 200 round Range Pack, $72.99 Remington, 40S&W, FMJ, 180 Grain, 100 Rounds with Range Bucket, $32.99 MAGTECH, 40S&W, FMJ, 180 Grain, 50 Rounds $15.99 Remington UMC, 40S&W, FMJ, 180 Grain, 250 Round Mega Pack, $79.99 ******************38SPL***************************** WWB, 38SPL, 130 gr, FMJ, 50 rounds, $19.99 MAGTECH, 38SPL, 158 gr, FMJ, 50 rounds, $17.99 Remington, 38SPL, 130 gr, FMJ, 50 rounds, $16.99 Aguila, 38SPL, 130 gr, FMJ, 50 rounds, $19.99

Yep, I presented my wife with the problem and she gave me this...

They won’t mess with cars. Not only do they need them too; depending on where they live, Auto makers can decide whether or not they get reelected. Gun manufacturers…not so much.

I didn’t miss it, hence my comment about “intent”. But this bill is potentially bad news for firearms trainers, knife makers, etc. So, your local firearms trainer teaches someone to shoot in a class. Let’s say a Carbine class or an AR class. That “someone” becomes the next school shooter. The prosecution finds someone in that class (wanting their 15 minutes of fame) that says “Someone” made remarks during class they found disturbing and that the trainer “should have known”. This could also apply to comments made by someone during a knife making class. As we know, when these incidents happen; the public wants blood. When the person responsible is dead they will take it anywhere they can find it. Douglas Haig made the mistake of manufacturing and selling ammunition without a license. He just pled guilty to selling to Stephen Paddock. He will be sentenced in Feb. But His life, as he knew it, has been destroyed. While he is hoping for probation; I’m sure his legal fees have financially destroyed him. He is facing 5 years in prison and a $250K fine. Why do I bring this up? Intent. The Feds have argued that because Paddock went and got gloves out of his car before handling the ammo; that should have been suspicious to Haig. In the case of the Virginia law they would argue “knowing or having reason to know” The left wants the Firearms manufacturer, the seller, a trainer, and anyone else that is involved in the legal sale or training having to do with weapons used in mass murders to be held accountable.

Don’t chase your tail thinking you have bad magazines. Get a McCormick or Wilson mag, some decent ammo, and either prove or dispel that theory. From the limited amount of RIA’s I have seen; they were junk when they were new. So, option A is their job; send it back again. Option B is always a good choice. But it leaves you with a POS gun. You still have to get it fixed. It wouldn’t be right to pass that POS off to someone else. However, any manufacturer can and will produce at lemon at some time or another. It’s how they deal with it when it happens that matters. Your gun with its factory supplied magazine won't work properly; I think that's a given Being fast doesn’t fix your gun. Contact them again. It’s possible you got one of the worthless CS people that didn’t care about doing their job right. Maybe the next person will. If they don’t; they don’t have good customer service.

Why approval takes so long
DaveTN replied to Grayfox54's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
This is 2019 and all this is stupid. Having people check applications by hand is ridiculous. A computer could check hundreds in the time it takes a human to check a few. Computers have OCR and can read. A Suppressor or SBR should need nothing more than a background check; same as a firearm. Letting attorneys get involved and having “Trusts” is ridiculous. When you die the item goes to someone that can pass the same background check you went through; it’s that simple. But yes, if you screw up your application it gets kicked and you have to address the issue. You then go back to the end of the line. No whining, crying, or thinking life should be fair; do it right the first time. -
To many of us these guns are important and have a story. To those that follow us; they may not be. They may simply be piles of fast cash.
-
A holster IS a safety device. I’ve had leather holsters for decades and never had one do what that did in that story. Using a deformed holster like that would be stupid on my part. You have to make sure nothing is in the holster when you are reholstering, but you have to do that with kydex also.

Well…not only is it news; but its legendary News!! Apparently it will be especially exciting if you register online for this extraordinary experience at Glock, and watch it live, December 10th at 10:00 am EST. I’m not a Glockster and they probably do a background check to see if you really own a Glock or if you are trying to sneak in. So I’ll have to hurry up and wait right here for one of you to fill us in.

I’ve not seen it with my own eyes, but I’ve been told by people that I trust it happened. It’s why I’m always thinking about where the round would go when I drop a slide or a bolt. Its also an AD; not an ND. It becomes an ND if someone gets hurt.
-
That can't pass. The antis will argue it requires intent; and it does. But it still can’t pass; that’s crazy.

If the gun doesn’t repeat; no amount of money spent on a scope will help. However, if the gun is quality; the more you spend on a scope; the better experience you will have. But that doesn’t mean a low cost scope won’t put you on target on a deer. Plenty of $200 scopes are helping hunters take deer. What bothers me is that there are guys out there that can hit targets with open sights as accurately as many of us with high dollar scopes.
