Maybe it’ll have enough pressure to operate properly.

A lot of folks are having problems with the 380 EZ. Of course the 9mm may be the fix for it.

I know what you mean. They are Walthers or they ain't. S&W took a lot of heat making guns for them; I bet they don't do that again.

https://www.targetsportsusa.com has Federal HST in both 9MM & 40S&W for $20 for a box of 50. You have to put it in your cart to see the discounted price. Sale ends 2PM on the 7th.

That was a dark time for the country and for this forum. I don’t want to go there again, it will serve no purpose, so…peace out.

Half the country agrees with you. Illinois hits the weed lottery next month. I doubt Tennessee will be far behind.

https://www.theroot.com/perennial-piece-of-####-george-zimmerman-files-100-mil-1840200390 The jury got it wrong. A murder victims parents should not have to go through something like this, in this country. This is sick.

Sure I can. I could post the stories that show crime rates increase, and for every one I post you can post one that shows they don’t. If you don’t smoke weed and you are for legalization because you think outlawing it is a government overreach, you won’t really care if crime increases; will you?

Average Cost: One Ounce of Medium Quality Marijuana $266 Average Cost: One “Joint” of Medium Quality Marijuana $6.18 According to this site… https://www.oxfordtreatment.com/substance-abuse/marijuana/average-cost-of-marijuana/ 2 packs of cigarettes = about an once of tobacco. Call it $10? This isn’t about cost though. The entitled are willing to pay the price if it means they won’t be arrested. They couldn’t care less if crime increases; or if you are impacted by it.

Hedge fund forced Cabela's merger, decimated jobs in Sidney, Nebraska
DaveTN replied to The Legion's topic in General Chat
Apparently, what he did wasn’t illegal. If it was, he should be put in prison. The days of business owners being involved or coming from the industries they are in, are in our past. You see Presidents, CEO’s, CFO’s, etc. being brought in simply for their financial skills. They make ridiculous amounts of money that is rarely justified, and often leave businesses and family’s in ruins in their wake. Some will say what he is doing is free enterprise and is okay; others don’t agree. I don’t know enough about business finances to know if what he is doing is legal or not. But I know it isn’t right. Our nations values and morals are the lowest I have seen in my lifetime. Too many Americans will sell-out their families, neighbors, and their country to save a dollar. It’s really sad. -
I already have a 617, or I would have already snagged the 17 Reggie has listed here.

Just checking. I fired a blank out of my AR in the living room and was acting like I was looking for where the round went. I thought it was funny. My Ex-wife did not. Ex being the key there.

Is that the same wife you have now?

I have been getting into .22’s more because I think I will shoot them more, I also have most of what I need in centerfires. After a lot of research I decided on either the 7” Smith & Wesson Model 41 or the Ruger Mark IV Competition model. After advertising in several places, I didn’t find any luck in finding anything used. So I’m about to make a decision on new. This would be a range toy, target gun. It would never be carried in the woods, or anywhere else for that matter. I wouldn’t even need a holster for it. The S&W Model 41 is the Grand Daddy of the rimfires. It has an excellent reputation and although it costs a lot; I could probably get my money back if I decided to sell it. The old ones are bringing (or at least asking) more than new. But this gun is still being made and is available for $1030 plus a transfer new. The reviews I have read by those that have shot both say the Ruger Mark IV Competition is every bit as accurate as the Model 41. It is a highly respected firearm and since Ruger changed the disassembly/assembly issues; it is the one I’m leaning towards. I can buy t for $560 plus a transfer. I love me some Smith & Wesson’s and I have the cash for the 41, but I think by going with the Ruger I will have a high quality target .22 and can use the money left over for the single action cowboy gun I don’t have yet. What say you?

I have never disagreed that alcohol is worse than weed. But legalizing weed because alcohol is legal doesn’t make sense. People think that because alcohol is legal; driving drunk is no big deal. Then they kill someone and go to prison; destroying their lives and possibly their family. If they are caught before they hurt someone, and they lose their job or destroy any chance of the career they were working towards; is often a result. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. They need someone like me as the Drug Czar. Instead of starting at the bottom and working my way up; I would start and the top and work my way down. The time and the cost would be much less, and you wouldn’t need a bunch of Feds to do it; your local PD could do it. You would also need less prison space, your army of low level dealers won’t have anything to get arrested for; they won’t have product. Of course, you would need some very special people that can’t be bought or intimidated.

Only if they can do that without taking work from business owners and workers that aren’t criminals. Turning all our prisons into manufacturing facilities using free labor isn’t going to fly. I don’t mind my taxes being used for law enforcement, fire departments, and prisons. I’m so tired of hearing that prosecutors can’t do their job because the jails and prisons are full; then build more. Yes, we need to get rid of some laws. But legalizing drugs that are killing both our youth and adults isn’t an answer.
-
Maybe. But no matter how desperately you try no one with common sense is going to believe that crime doesn’t go up when drugs are legalized. It defies common logic.
-
Has legalization made legal pot cheaper? Chicago will be happy to hear their crime rates will drop next month due to free enterprise.
-
And there you have it…entitlement! Those that have jobs and smoke their weed at home are not the problem. Although many businesses are still going to do drug testing and fire those that fail. The aircraft industry is not going to let you make aircraft parts if you can’t pass a drug test…oops. That’s a liability that they will never ok. However….I am not talking about those people. Illinois is going to legalize recreational pot next month. Downstate will see a big jump in crime. In the Chicago area it won’t matter; they don’t enforce the laws on violent crime now, and they will do everything in their power to not allow the impact of legalized drugs to be shown.
-
Facts are facts. But replace the word “fact” with “common sense”. Common sense tells me that there is no way legalizing a drug will not cause a rise in crime, especially burglary and theft to get money to buy the drug. Believing that crime won’t rise is ridiculous. I’m not going to post a bunch of information that will show I am right; I just ask you to use common sense. Everyone knows that legalization of drugs cause a rise in crime. How could it not? Where do you think that money comes from?
-
Yes. As a matter of fact, awhile back I bought 50 round boxes of Federal HST for near the price of range ammo. Rare, but it can be done. Not that I need another hobby, but I’ve looked at reloading every way from Sunday, and I just don’t think you can reload if your goal is to save money. Maybe someone that shoots massive amount, but not for most. Now… I posted that a few years back when I was considering it and one guy that said he could reload for less than he could purchase said he was walking the highway picking up wheels weights to get the lead to cast bullets, and going to ranges to get his brass off the ground. That guy might come close.

I agree. And when I was a cop, both citizens and Police were justified in the use of deadly force to stop a forcible felony or keep a forcible felon from escaping. I’d be okay with the legalizing any drug if the deadly force laws were changed back to where we could kill forcible felons. Of course, we know that will never happen, because parents don’t want their kids killed while they are committing violent crimes. And they would rather see an innocent person on trial for killing their kid if the person happened to make the shot as their violent kid was turning to run.
-
The statement that they don’t make the laws; they just enforce them is not making excuses; it’s a statement of fact. Most cops don’t want to arrest everyone that they catch with a little weed. But most cops know that the legalization of recreational weed will lead to an increase in crime. That’s not an opinion; that’s a fact. I smoked weed when I was young; most from my generation did. I don’t like it is why I don’t smoke it. Alcohol is worse than weed…again, that’s not an opinion; that’s fact. I would guess more than half the crimes I dealt with involved someone that was drunk or high. I don’t care if they legalize weed for recreational use. I just want them to enforce the laws that are on the books and send violent criminals, burglars and thieves to prison. If we don’t have enough room; build more prisons. But the same people that want dope legalized want people to believe our prisons are full of good people that got caught with a bag of weed; noting could be further from the truth. Drug users and drug dealers want folks to believe that the opioid death crisis is from prescription meds. Again, nothing could be farther from the truth. The people are dying from heroin and fentanyl being brought into this country and sold on our streets by murderers. They need to be sent to prison, not slapped on the wrist and put back on the street.

And I never said you did.
