best carry caliber for hiking, wildlife protection
DaveTN replied to Maestrorr's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
I guess they could be. But that would be a long swim. They seemed to understand English screaming. -
Me too. I get a lot of activity; half of it is useless. But I've bought and sold a lot there. I won't travel to meet anyone from there. I also won't give anyone a phone number on preliminary conversations. Seems to be a lot of phone number collectors. Ha, Ha, Ha, I have wondered the same thing.

We had to warn people not to take their dogs in boats where there were Gators. Gators will come in a boat after a dog. They must really be scrumptious. -
"Breaking News" Kobe Bryant Killed in Helicopter Crash
DaveTN replied to The Legion's topic in General Chat
It sounds to me like they are preparing to try to lay blame on whoever cleared him to take-off. Unless it’s so bad nothing can fly; that’s on the pilot, who is the only one that knows his individual abilities. I used to fly with a friend for work. When the weather was questionable, he used to always say “It’s better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, than in the air wishing you were on the ground.” And if they weren’t tracking him on radar, how did they get the information about his speed variance? -

Better known as Audra Barkley on "The Big Valley". She was smokin' hot.

They are the same when it comes to killing deer. So it comes down to the round itself. For that reason I would go with the .308. It is one out the most popular hunting round in this country, used by our military, available everywhere, plentifully, and cheap surplus ammo is available. Plus its my favorite rifle round (the most important part); there is nothing better for all-around use. The 7mm-08 is a designer spin off of the .308. There won’t be any cheap surplus ammo for range day. It will be expensive and not readily available. Those aren’t good things for a young man.

"Breaking News" Kobe Bryant Killed in Helicopter Crash

No one is elevating him to sainthood status. He was exceptional in his field and one of the few good role models for kids in the game. If that had been Jerry Miculek, Julie Golob, or even Shane Coley, it would have been talked about here (because they are exceptional in their field) but probably not on the news much. When a few people are morning their loss; it won’t make national news. When hundreds of thousands are; it will. -

I agree. Of course, no one knows what happened and we are all guessing, until the NTSB tells us what happened. But they showed yesterday that the helicopter was flying at 150 knots, slowed to around 50 for awhile and then sped back up to 150 before crashing. They kept showing the crash site yesterday and I don’t know if it was all debris from the wreck, or if something was already there; but the debris field looked massive. It made he think the pilot flew into a hill at 150 knots. -

You are around Black Panthers. They will kill you and eat you when you are taking the trash to the curb at night. -

I don't think killing a Coyote with my hands would be hard, but I sure wouldn't want to fight a bear. That story said the victims were treated for rabies as a precaution. I always thought if you had the head of the animal; it could be checked for rabies?? -
Okay, I edited out some of the previous stuff. You might want to go back and delete where you quoted them.

It seems like a lot at first, but after you have done it a few times; it’s easy and fast. This shows where the preview icon is....

Okay, lets start with creating an IMGUR account. This is the opening page. in the upper right corner click on “SIGN UP” On this next page make up a username, email, password, and a phone number. On this next page put in the 7 didgit verification code that was texted to you, and check “I AM NOT A ROBOT” You should now be logged in with your user name in the upper right corner Now click on the button to the right of your name so the menu shown here appears. Click on “IMAGES” On this screen click the green “ADD IMAGES” box. On this screen click on “BROWSE” button. This will open a file explorer window. Direct it to where your pictures are stored on your computer. Then select the picture you want to upload and pick ‘OPEN”. It now shows you a list of your stored images. Click on the image you want to put in your TGO post. Simply click on the blue box that says “COPY” and is next to “BBCode”. The link is now stored in your computers memory. Now go to your TGO post, put the cursor wherever you want the image to be and hit CTRL +V. That will put the link in. It will simply show you the address of the link when you do that, but if you select “PREVIEW” or simply submit the post the picture will appear.

It is. The camera used to take that picture was a Canon EOS 5D Mark II. (Released 2008) It also looks like cell towers behind her. The gun doesn’t have a mark on it. Her, and her uniform are too clean. http://olegvolk.net/gallery/technology/arms/hitlerjugend_2156.jpg.html?g2_imageViewsIndex=1&&g2_fromNavId=xa742eac6&g2_GALLERYSID=dffe62ec1522e2eb53c7f789e56effd4

I’m not a reloader, so I don’t usually pay attention to reloading supplies. But this caught my eye at the Sportsman Warehouse in Murfreesboro yesterday. This was the was the powder section. Both sides of the isle were loaded with reloading supplies and tools.

area-nashville Gun Show M'boro this weekend 1/25 - 26/20
DaveTN replied to Grunt67's topic in Events and Gatherings
Sucks getting old. We complain if the shows are too small, and if they are too big. -
Other than them recognizing the individual right to keep and bear arms; no it does not. You research the states you want to carry a gun in and you understand their laws. We absolutely do not want something all states would agree with, or the Federal Government having authority over. We don’t need “help” from anyone else.

area-nashville Gun Show M'boro this weekend 1/25 - 26/20
DaveTN replied to Grunt67's topic in Events and Gatherings
I went today about 1PM. Like Grunt said it was packed, and that's no small parking lot. I was about to leave when I lucked into a parking space. But when I got up to where I could see inside; I decided I didn’t want to deal with that. I figured I would let the door busters die down and I would just waltz in; I was wrong. But if you like nuts to butts slow moving crowds; you would have liked this. I saw an unusual amount of gun cases going in. So I assume they were selling; but I don’t know that, or what, if any, the rules were.
