Not all actors are gun haters...or cop haters. However… if they are buying AR’s 50 at a time and they are paying $2K each; they are getting hosed and need a new purchasing agent.
-
The problem can’t be fixed. You need to buy better mags. I’ll do you a favor and take those POS PMags off your hands. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Just kidding. Kinda… I do need to get some PMags.

I watched the movie “Prey†on Cinemax the other night and thought of this thread.

<?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:State><ST1:pIllinois </st1:State>doesn’t register guns. I can legally buy ammunition in <st1:State>Illinois </st1:State>and I don’t have a FOID card. But yes… if you are a resident of the state you are required to have a FOID card to purchase or possess ammunition.
-
Illinois has no law against shipping in ammo (Chicago may). The shipper is just required to have a copy of the FOID card on file. <O:p</O:p I also don’t read that as saying they have to ship to an FFL. It only says that the order must be placed through their FFL Gun Department.

I have three computers on a home network. Two wired desktops (Windows Media Center Edition & Windows XP pro) One wireless laptop (Windows XP Pro) Router is Linksys WRT54GS Laptop uses Linksys WUSB54GC USB adapter I really don’t want to have to use a password each time a device connects. Can I just input a MAC Addresses in the router set-up for the devices I have and be secure from someone outside my home having access?

And I can't speak as to the North store but at the South you have racks and racks to pick from. I went and picked out all mine.

HR 8791 Homeland prepareness bill - Martial Law
DaveTN replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Duhhh… Of course they need to prepare for it. The threat we are seeing to our economy right now is more of a danger to this country than any enemy on earth. Probably. But that would depend on the amount of damage. The Constitution can and has survived a lot of things; but being hit by a nuke is not one of them. -
I don’t care if it is unloaded; you don’t point a gun at a person…. Ever. Some people are just dumb azzes. (They way I read your story you didn’t know that the gun was safe; and it was pointed directly at you.)

Just a WAG… If there was no contact…Aggravated assault 39-13-102 (a) (1b); a class C felony. Which your lawyer would probably get reduced to assault 39-13-101 (a) (2); a class A misdemeanor on a plea agreement. -

I don’t think you misunderstood me, and any argument you feel like making is justified. That’s what forums are all about. We just don’t agree, and I don’t know if you have experience with our system or not; but I could fill pages with the injustices I have seen as a cop. It’s not a bad system; it’s just not a just system. It is possible that your justice will be limited by the amount of money you have. Would you agree with that statement? I hope you are never wrongly accused of a crime because you may find that even if you are not convicted; it is certainly not a process you would want to go through again. -
Warning: fake aimpoint m2 at southaven ms gun show
DaveTN replied to jeffmem's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
The Chinese are blatantly copying everything and scoff at any laws prohibiting it. Leupold has been hit with fakes and has put a warning on their website. http://www.leupold.com/corporate/resources/counterfeit-warning/ -
You don’t go before a live board?

I have no idea about Texas law, but that’s true with most any charge. A person can say anything. It’s one of the many reasons I don’t open carry or get in an argument or confrontation when I am carrying. If someone accuses you of threatening them, or pointing a gun at them (Whether you did or not) and you have a gun on you; chances are pretty good you are going to be arrested. It isn’t “proof beyond doubt†its proof beyond a reasonable doubt; that’s a big difference. Keep in mind… we don’t have a justice system; we have a legal system. -
How does Metro work that? On our department your written test combined with the Physical Agility test was 50% of your total score and then the oral board was the other 50%. The written test was pretty much a joke, the Physical Agility test got rid of a bunch, and then the oral boards were where they picked who they wanted. You went on a list based on your final score and they hired from that list as positions came open. The list was good for two years or until everyone on it was hired; then they started over.
-
The obvious concern would be your age. The department I was on has a cut off of 35 years of age. But I don’t see a limit on Metro’s website. Our physical agility test got rid of a bunch of the applicants. It’s tough for a 20 something year old to pass it. But that would depend on the department; obviously some departments don’t have much of a physical test; if any. Most PD’s post their requirements on the web; take a look. Also, it appears to work a little differently in Tennessee, but in most states you have to get accepted for a job, then go to the academy; not the other way around. Good Luck

Here’s a thread where I posted a pic of mine and some of the photos. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10640 And here is a link to more light box info than I have ever seen in one place. http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=281524

It could also be that the cop saw it and did it as a joke. (I would do something like that). But then if he put in there that the cop was smiling or said “No man, I’m just messin’ with you; have a nice nightâ€; it wouldn’t have had the same forum effect. -
.357 Mag is substantially superior to the 9mm for shooting dirt bags. If by “Snubbie†you mean a 2 1/2†K-Frame or L-Frame; it is an excellent choice. If you mean a 2" J-Frame; I would stick with a .38+P. The weapon can handle the magnum, but the recoil is pretty intense.

I would bet that WM is second only to the U.S. military in ammunition purchasing from manufactures. I would also bet that “bulk†retailers would pale in comparison to the amount of ammo shipped to WM. Even with a C&R discount I can’t do any better than WWB from Wal-Mart. It’s good range ammo. I just wish they would also carry the good stuff in handgun ammo. I buy quality .308 Winchester at nearly the price of what some are paying for junk off the net.

No, I don’t carry a BUG. But then... I have driven without a seatbelt, rode my motorcycle without a helmet and on occasion I have been known to run with scissors.
