That’s only .0055†bigger; really not worth mentioning. I’m not really familiar with this round but isn’t its claim to fame the ability to defeat body armor?
-
I have fired maybe a couple of hundred rounds through this rifle and the scope has held up fine so far. But to be honest I just wanted something cheap. I had just purchased two other rifles and set them up with Leupold scopes and most of the range time was spent dialing those in. I just don’t care for open sights. I am happy with it, but I’m not saying it’s as good as a Leupold. As I said, due to the long eye relief it’s a one shot deal; there isn’t going to be a follow-up shot.

1. I would not pick a 9mm if I have other options; just personal preference. (But that’s based solely on my experience and what I have seen, and I was not sitting in an armchair when I gained that experience. ) Round count is not a big factor to be. I’m fine with 6; but more is better. 2. It doesn’t matter what brand it is, I wouldn’t carry what I couldn’t trust my life with. You are already skeptical of Taurus; so find something you feel comfortable with. This is not where you want to go cheap 3. I have multiple guns because I have different carry applications. If I could only have one gun I would make sure it was comfortable to carry (above caliber, round count or brand) otherwise you won’t carry it. 4. It is my understanding if the bad check charge was a misdemeanor you will be okay. But if the disposition is not on your record, sending it to the TBI is not enough; you have to get the county to send it to the feds. TBI is not allowed to keep information gained from a firearms background check.

Must have been that time of the month. You know… near the end of the month when they really need tickets.
-
Neither way. They don’t look right either way. Throw them in a drawer and don’t worry about it; they will look silly if you do get them right.
-
It wouldn’t. Your father is alive and well. If anything had gone differently you could be burying your father. Sometimes trying to pull a gun only gets you killed.
-
What the he11?? A taillight violation is something we use to pull people over for when we wanted to look in their cars; no one gets a ticket for it. Man you must have really pizzed that cop off. Just kidding man, just kidding

Why would the mods care? Maybe I’m missing something here…. Who do you think this guy is that anyone would care? -
I’m going to tell them. Not because I think they need to know, but because I know for a fact that the more friendly conversation we have, the closer I am to driving off with a warning instead of a ticket.

I think that is the way it is for most folks. (Well except for jack Bauer; he’s use to it) That is why I smile whenever I see someone saying that “Shot placement†is more important than caliber selection. -
Well then; you can do anything. I had a hard time finding a one piece scope mount that didn’t cost $150. But I found this one at the gun show at the Nashville fairgrounds. It’s made by a company in KY and I think it was $50 total. It’s solid, well made, and has worked great even though I’m shooting .308 Win. They come in either 1†or 30mm mounts. So you can mount any scope you like. That one happens to be a Leupold VX-I 3X9. If you want a Holographic sight but can’t spend the bucks for a EOTech; I have this AimShot HG-M1 on my PLR-16 right now. It certainly is not an EOtech, but its fun to play around with until I get one. I think it was around $129.00. It really just all depends on what your application is and how much money you can spend. .

I don’t know, but you said you were comfortable with the .40. I have both .40’s and .45’s and I think if you can handle the .40 you should be good with the .45. I just don’t like the 9mm for a carry round, but if you do the M&P comes in that caliber. Oh yea and before I forget….. buy American; we need your help.

We have been through this with him before. You are correct. The intent of the Tennessee law is that you can’t carry until you are 21. Some here (as always ) believe that he has found a loop hole that will allow him to carry. My own opinion is that he will spend a bunch on money on lawyers and still be convicted…. But hey… let him do it…. Then we will have case law. -

I believe that is incorrect. “Federal Law†requires that you be 21 to purchase from an FFL. Private intrastate sales are bound by state law. I believe Tennessee allows purchase at 18; and 21 for an HCP. -
Is it removable? (A flat top)

I use the Allen’s from Wal-mart. I think they are ten or fifteen bucks.
-
I use the Garand Collectors association. At $25 a year it is the cheapest I have found. http://www.thegca.org/index.htm

Would a reasonable person believe you are in danger of death or great bodily harm? …. Shoot them.

Buy the most you can afford (or want to spend at the time). Games are defining computers today. Use to be CAD and others graphics applications; they are nothing compared to today’s games. Ask him what he wants; he probably knows more than most of the people responding here. But most any up to date computer should be able to keep up with on-line gaming. Lag is caused by your internet speed not your computer speed. (Unless you have a really old computer.)

You ain’t seen nothing yet. Tobacco Liquor Guns Ammunition And when they have those taxes as high as they can possibly be… they will start on property taxes and add income taxes. Someone has to pay the bills. And everyone seems okay with letting our manufacturing base be overseas. -
I thought we had a moratorium on these tin foil hat “The government is going to try to take my guns and I am going to kill them†threads. I too am a Vietnam Era Veteran and a former Police Officer and it makes me sick to my stomach when some whack job that would probably piss himself if someone took a shot at him starts preaching about killing Cops or Military personnel. Anyyway… “True Patriots??? You have got to be kidding. The majority of Americans is watching our economy fall and will do nothing about it because it might cost them a buck. You think those same people have the balls to stand up for anything? I don’t.
-
Well… if you have to buy crap, at least you bought American made crap. At least you won’t have to wait while it takes a boat ride to Brazil. Kahr is American made isn’t it?
-
Good grief. That’s’ just jerking you around. If they have to send the gun back to Brazil; they should just replace it.
