  1. I wouldn’t and I have had plenty of opportunity to do so. Now, don’t take that as a slam against the HK’s quality; it is not meant that way. When I was trying to trade my Kimber SIS Ultra I had several offers of HK’s, Sigs and most everything else. I just don’t need them; I have American made product every bit as good as they are.
  2. So you do care about jobs in your country; or was that just a trivial afterthought? No… last I checked we depend on the U.S. economy. Pick up a newspaper or go to your favorite news site. How’s the whole “Global Economy†thing working out for us? On a side note, I do prefer to buy my guns and whatnot from my local dealers and manufacturers. I want to support them, so we have a strong economy and gun makers in this country. And saving a buck or two on a gun is not worth the alternative. I want it all. I want my kids and grandkids to enjoy the lifestyle (or better) that I have enjoyed. My last gun purchase was from Joe for $1100. It all stayed here. He took what he needed and the rest went to Springfield MA. That’s a lot better deal for all of us than it going to Croatia by way of Illinois.
  3. I was going to comment on that, but I’m not sure I understand. You are too busy or you are just too important to care about such minor things as….. your country’s economy?
  4. They should have let the K9 loose and wait for the screams. . . . . J/K Glad everything turned out alright for you.
  5. Anyone that knows me knows I do. I am proud to say that I don’t buy foreign guns unless they have historical military value. In my guns that I carry and use I have just never needed to; American manufacturers produce anything I want. I do my best to buy my guns from local (usually dealers that support this forum) dealers and buy guns that were made in American by Americans. Lately though it is getting harder and harder to find out where the guns are made. I feel like the American companies that want us to buy their products have turned their back on us. They are trying to market foreign manufactured guns as their own. I understand that some companies have done this to be able to stay in business. But they have a responsibility to tell us what we are buying. If we think we are buying American made from SA, Remington or others; that is what we should get. There are all different types on this forum and as I read and participate in the discussions I see that many here have much different passions when it comes to guns. This is one of mine. Discuss.
  6. Knowing your stand no one should ask you to do it; we have people that can handle these types of situations. We are a people where the majority is more than willing to execute American citizens even when they know some are innocent. Based on that I am going to say that most would be okay with the torturing of enemy combatants if it would stop incidents such as 9-11 or the bombing of our troops.
  7. Anyone had any dealings with them? Supposedly located in Middle Tennessee, but I can’t find an address on their web site. Magnumforceballistics
  8. Apples and oranges. (or no logic) It isn’t a matter of trying to “satisfy†anyone. There is a clearly drawn line in the sand; you are on one side of it or the other.
  9. If you to want believe that HCP holders have some kind of clout as group; go for it. I see no indication that business owners want Metro to do their dirty work for them; this is just some Metro politicians looking for a way to circumvent a law they don’t like. They are working on that. You aren’t old enough to remember what the night life use to be like. The state has also made restaurants safe for you by being willing to trample the rights of businesses owners on the smoking issue. They know what is best for you. I’ll bet you were okay with banning smoking in restaurants.
  10. That’s like those preparing to make a racist remark and starting with “I have black friends.†What the ….. You were in a gunfight or you weren’t. And if you were you were carrying a gun. So you never eat at restaurants that don’t serve alcohol? They have allowed guns for years. Common sense dictates to me that if someone is that concerned about a “family†atmosphere you probably won’t find them in restaurants that serve liquor. What a dumbass. He needs to go back to Nantucket.
  11. And would add this… I would make sure they know that you support HC. Don’t leave them guessing why you are asking. I personally think it’s ridiculous to threaten them with losing your money; we don’t have the numbers to worry anyone. Those that have an opinion will make it based on the issue. Those that haven’t decided yet might respond better to reason and a good explanation than to idle threats. But as I said before if they serve booze; I’m drinking. So I’m not carrying anyway and leaving security up to you teetotalers.
  12. That’s an hour and a half long. Let us know when it comes on TV so we can watch it in HD. Or just tell us what your point is.
  13. Make up your mind; they have Constitutional rights or they don’t. Everyone believes that they shouldn’t be tortured (Unless it’s another country torturing U.S. citizens and troops). But that doesn’t make it a right. Certainly it is. The military should be handling the POW’s, who and where they are should be classified, and the press and the rest of the government shouldn’t have any involvement. No, if someone claims to be a citizen of the U.S. a hearing should be held on that issue. If it is determined they are; their rights as U.S. citizens kick in.
  14. What happened when the cops went to see the forum member?
  15. The Japanese, Vietnamese, and Germans were ruthless to our servicemen that were captured. All of the countries that we have been at war with have tortured our troops so brutally that we wouldn’t even be allowed to post the pictures here. However…. For many all is forgiven. Look in your garages; you have seen fit to overlook what the Japanese did to our Grandfathers or Great-grandfathers. Are what we doing even approaching the level of what these other countries did? No. Just because they aren’t a citizen of a specific country doesn’t mean they aren’t military combatants. We water boarded some terrorists and put panties on their heads….. Big deal. Hell we made some sacrificial lambs out of some members of our military and sent them to prison. There is the real crime. Whoever authorized that needs to be in jail. Innocent people get killed in wars and terrorists don’t have rights; that’s just the way it is.
  16. States Rights. We fought a war over it remember. I have said all along and prior to the Heller case that the SCOTUS is not going to do anything with a 2nd amendment case that will allow you to go armed; it just is not going to happen. Why? Because states like Illinois, California, and New York are not going to be told that they must allow their citizens to go armed. They will refuse no matter what the SCOTUS says.
  17. Why not? You have plenty of time to read then to them while they are on a water board or getting their azz kicked. I don’t see a problem.
  18. So no one puts handcuffs on you and loads you into the back of a Police car for the trip to jail. I had a handgun gun for sale on this forum. I got a PM from a guy that had never posted on this forum. He told me in the PM he was from Alabama, but came to the Midstate area a lot and wanted to know when and where we could meet up. WTF???? Who do you think this was? Maybe it was some innocent person looking to commit a crime or maybe it was the ATF. I don’t want to find out. You can’t be expected to know if someone is a felon, but you damn well better know that they are of age and they are a Tennessee resident.
  19. It’s a risk you take. It is my understanding that possession of stolen property in Tennessee is a crime; whether you stole it or not. I say that based on a newspaper story I saw that the cops were searching a guy’s car in Shelbyville for drugs and found a stolen gun. They didn’t find any drugs and arrested him on the stolen gun. When I was in Illinois possession of a stolen firearm had its own law and it was a felony. I believe it still is, but I’m not sure. I wouldn’t worry about it if the seller can show you documentation of who he is, and you keep that information. If he doesn’t want to supply the info… pass. There isn’t any gun deal worth going to jail over. Should a problem arise and you cooperate and point the cops to who you bought the gun from; you should have no problem. If you can’t or you won’t you are probably going to find yourself charged with a crime.
  20. I think you are thinking about states that extend the “Castle Doctrine†or “Castle Law†to your car. There are many of them, but that doesn’t mean you get a free pass to carry a gun. Sure it would be great if Tennessee recognized the 2nd amendment as an individual right; but then they couldn’t stick you for $115.
  21. 1. S&W 2-1/2†Model 66 2. S&W Model 60
  22. Oh well..... As long as we still have our HCP nothing else matters. It isn’t like any of us have jobs. And I’m sure the ones that do have employers that will understand them being off for 30 days to go to jail. Let’s all go there and open carry and see if we can get thrown in jail. . . . . . . .
  23. I’m a Patriot; I hope it doesn’t. I will never take up arms against Americans. Thank God I will never have to.
  24. Under state law it is. Where do you see an exception under the Lafollette Municipal Ordnance?
