It appears to me that most Americans (and most of those that have addressed the issue on this forum) are more than willing to turn sell out the future of their country; as long as they get cheap products.

Israel is the hot head over there with their finger on the button. With everyone assuming that they have the backing of the U.S. (I doubt they have the backing of Obama) no one is going to nuke them. We have no business messing with anyone that wants to have nukes; it is the only deterrent to having boots on your soil. North Korea and Iran both have the ability now to wreak havoc and devastation without using nukes. The USS Pueblo was attacked, fired on, and a U.S. sailor was killed. It was an act of war and the U.S. did nothing. The Pueblo is still a U.S. Navy commissioned ship and it is a primary tourist attraction in Pyongyang. Does it sound to you like North Korea fears us? A country not only has the right, but the responsibility to her people to protect them. The United Nations is a joke; a nuclear defense is not. Oh absolutely. I totally believe we were justified in using nukes on Japan. The ending would have been the same; the body count on our side would have been much higher. Don’t get me wrong; I’m not against nukes…. We should never even think of getting rid of them. Our ballistic submarines are our #1 deterrent to attack because any nation that attacks us knows that they will be devastated; even if they destroy most of our country. Iran or North Korea may play silly games, but they are not going to nuke anyone.... unless they are attacked. And as much as we believe we did the right thing by nuking Japan; if another country uses a nuke I’m sure they will feel just as strongly that they are doing the right thing.

For someone to not be aware of the changes and be part of the decision making process about whether or not the business is posted; they would have to be living in a cave. I doubt that is the case for many restaurant managers. Don't be afraid to speak out. We are a very small group, the idea that we could have any financial impact on a restaurant is ridiculous. Information and conversation will go much farther than idle threats that have no teeth.

If an American citizen has no disqualifying criminal background; they should be good to go. If they are a foreigner and on the terrorist watch list; no guns for them. But don't they deport those people when they are found? I don't buy into the tin foil hat's idea that this is some how government gun control. I do believe that any anti gun politician will use any idea they can come up with to stop people from buying guns.

They prosper and we pay for it.) At some point the American people are going to wake up and understand that our economy can never be what it was without our manufacturing. After the Tenifer finish it’s just dipped in road tar. From the tests I have seen apparently a lot of glocksters like to tie their Glocks to a rope and drag it behind their car. The road tar doesn’t show the road rash as bad. However… the guys that keep their Glocks in a frozen bucket of water are complaining that big chunks of the road tar falls off.

Based on facts. In 1991 during the first Gulf war when Iraq fired scuds into Israel, Israel went on full scale nuclear alert and deployed nukes for launch. Had it not been for U.S. intervention it is believed they would have nuked Iraq.

I have always thought that it was pretty ridiculous that we (or the United Nations) think they get to decide who can have nukes and who can’t. A lot of countries have them and we are the only ones that have ever used them. They are a deterrent to large countries invading your small county. I’m more worried about Israel launching a nuke than I am North Korea or Iran.

I have been to GITMO; have you? I took 1000 Marines with me when I went. We were one of the only Navy ships ever to get kicked out of GITMO; but that’s a whole other story. It would be impossible to keep it a secret if Americans were being held there. As far as the others…. The military has some stuff that it needs to keep secret. If they don’t want to say who they have there…. I’m okay with it. Now…. If you think there are American citizens there that are being denied their Constitutional rights; you get to ask. But you are going to have to depend on what your elected officials that have been there tell you. After I left the Gator navy I went to a Sub Tender. I worked on nuke boats so I am okay with the concept that the military has things and knows things that you have no need to know.

Words get disregarded. Words like “A well regulated militia†or here’s another one “against unreasonable searches and seizuresâ€.

I guess I just don’t care. We have prisoners here in our prisons that are innocent. They have committed no crime. But because they can’t afford good legal counsel they will spend years in prison or be executed. So…. I’m supposed to be concerned about some people that hate me and want to kill me? Sorry, I just can’t get excited about it; and I see no Constitutional issues.

Neither do a lot of folks; but they don’t need to. It’s all about emotional drama.

People die in a war. I backed what Bush wanted to do in the Middle East because it was oblivious we were going to have to do it at some time. He also told us we would not have another Vietnam. (I served during Vietnam, although I was not in combat. I spent most of my time messin’ with Castro in Cuba.) Well another Vietnam is exactly what we have. Years and years of BS and people whining about innocents getting killed or jailed. I could not care less what they do with the detainees at GITMO. If they want to hang them they need to give them whatever a POW gets prior to hanging. I’m not even sure what that is, but they have no Constitutional rights; or they shoudn’t have. I would assume we have specific laws on how to handle POW’s; don’t we?

You guys have got to be kidding me. We just passed legislation that allows people to carry guns into bars. Yes, I want to be able to carry a loaded rifle in my car or truck. I have absolutely no more concerns about having that in my vehicle than any other valuable item. If someone gets their hands on it they will have to commit a felony (Auto burglary) to do it.
