  1. You Rang??
  2. That’s what I have said many times, including the post above. Just blowing up at the term “Red Flag Law” is silly. If people want due process for someone accused of threatening violence or suicide; the law is the only place those standards can come from. Those changes (if there are any) will be called “Red Flag Laws”. If you are accused by someone of a criminal act; your guns can legally be seized as evidence. The laws in place for the handling of evidence will determine, if, and when you get your guns back. "Red Flag" does not apply. People calling the Police for help with a family member that has mental problems is something different. We live in different times. Cops are not going to leave that person with access to guns if others have expressed concerns about that. If something happens; they will sue the Police Department and probably the individual Officer. And in this day and age they will win; especially if a mass shooting takes place due to the cops inaction. I suggest that due process be built into the laws. The time for going before a Judge should be timed in hours; not months. A Judge should have to sign off on the seizure withing a reasonable time; or the weapons should be returned. As I said, I’m surprised the Dems are pushing this, they don’t need it, they have free rein to seize whatever they like now.
  3. Calling them MSR isn’t a dance I will do. But Remington makes several AR’s under their own name. Hopefully they are simply consolidating. However, Remington (and the firearms community) took a huge blow when the SCOTUS allowed the lawsuit by families of the Sandy Hook victims to proceed. It has to be costing them a lot.
  4. It amazes me that people think he can buy a primary. I know we have a bunch of Democrats whose IQ isn’t any higher than their age; but that many??
  5. No; You can't have a Revolver. They are HiCap.
  6. So you think the green is better in bright sunlight? Did the 2MOA seem any harder to find than the 3MOA (if you have used a 3)? I don’t want a ring, I’ll just be using a dot.
  7. Has anyone compared a 2-3 MOA dot in RED/GREEN? In the dot only, no ring, does it make much difference? I have a Red in the Fastfire III and the Vortex Venom; both in 3 MOA. I think I might try a Holosun when the new V2’s are out in the next few weeks. Looks like they have a choice of red, green. I only wanted the dot before, but with the dot dropping to 2MOA, Might want to go with the dot and ring?
  8. If they buy it for $450-$500 I don't see the problem.
  9. Bump...for updated deal
  10. I also needed a red dot for a M&P9L C.O.R.E. that would be used as a target gun. The issues I had with the Viper was that 6MOA is too big for a target gun, and you must remove the sight to change the battery. Those both made it unacceptable to me. It does Co-Witness with the M&P. I went with the venom. I could get it in 3MOA and don’t have to remove the sight to change the battery. It doesn’t Co-witness well with the sights, but It’s a target gun so I don’t need that. If the sight fails, I put it away and get a different gun out. It’s worked well so far. But I’ve only shot a couple hundred rounds with it. I didn’t need to try to adjust it; it was dead on with no adjustment required. So I guess I should check to see if the adjustments work properly. I’m needing another one. I was going to add another Venom, but the reviews here for the Holosun’s say it’s fantastic. And it’s priced in the same ~$200-$230~ range. Of course, now I’ll need to wait a couple of months for the new version. I wanted a Leupold Deltapoint Pro, but at the time it didn’t fit the M&P properly. But now I can’t see where any of the circa $400 sights offer anything more than those in the $200 range.
  11. So long as I am President, I will always protect your 2nd amendment right to keep and bear arms. ~President Donald Trump, February 4th 2010~ I believe him when he says that. Thank you, Mr. President. Will he be under attack by those who call themselves “Pro-Gun”? Of course, he will. Because there are laws in place, they think he can change with the stroke of a pen; he can’t. And neither can the BATF. But most will see that he supports us and our rights.
  12. Maybe. Any machinist that does precision surface grinding could do it. Provided there was enough stock on the part to change the profile. But I doubt anyone is going to do it for less than the $105 my linguini eating friends from across the pond sell their adjustable sets for in this country. I suspect they will eventually come around to my way of thinking. That or someone will make a set of adjustable white outline sights for the M&P line.
  13. I wasn’t grousing. I only know that because I had to look it up; I’ve never in my 65 years hard that term. Good for you. I was having an adult conversation about a product I saw. Fitting a Dovetail sight for a Dovetail it was not made for would not be practical. (Without access to a surface grinder that is.)
  14. At 25 yards I would have to use sights. If they were white outlined sights, I would be laughing, and you would just be standing there hanging your head with your feelings hurt.
  15. Point instinct shooting was how I was trained. That was many years ago and they have since made up many different names for that. Had I not been trained that way; I would be dead. However, I have no problem transitioning back and forth between that and using sights for target shooting. But everyone needs to train, and use, whatever they think will keep them alive.
  16. There are a bunch on GB.
  17. As long as you are not the bad guy; you would be fine. You guys don't understand. Everything can't be about you; this is about Dave. I will leave you out of my group buy. Just remember when everyone is pointing at you and laughing at the range, for being the only ones using those ridiculous dot sights; you were convinced they are the best. Kids...

That's good to know. It pays the tax. I was going to post that GAG has these for $169.99, but it looks like they are easy to find a deal on most anywhere.
  19. I don’t use sights for defensive shooting at all. Sights for me are for target shooting only. I’m 65 years old and shot in competition for years. I can shoot white outlined sights far better than dots, and even better than plain black sights. I’m not asking you to change how you shoot, or what sights you use. I’m not asking Smith & Wesson or Glock to change their sights. They can continue to use whatever they have convinced you is the best. I’m willing to pay the price for LPA sights for my M&P’s. Other than the Italians not wanting to help a brother out; there’s no reason for me not to have them.
  20. My 89 year old Father is headed that way now. Mom can still use technology. They are 400 miles from me and 1000 miles from my sister. Technology helps us do a lot for them. Thanks to companies like Microsoft, Google, and Amazon. I don’t have to agree with their policies to thank them for the opportunities they have provided to many.
  21. That may be true for you; it's not true for me.

  23. I just thought I would pass it on. I have one and need another one. But I think I’ll wait on these Holosun V2’s. Word is they are gooder than all the others.
  24. PSA has $50 off the 3MOA Vortex Venom using code VENOM. It ends at noon tomorrow. $197.54 delivered.
  25. I emailed LPA a couple of times and they finally answered me. They told me “No” and to either just keep using the totally worthless POS 3 dots sights that come on those (and most other) pistols, or buy a POS Glock and buy their sights to put on it. Well okay, that’s not exactly what they said…here is what they said. I should have known better than to expect those freakin’ Italians to help us out. They were probably too busy making pasta. I obviously will need to find an American Made product to deal with this problem.
