  1. I want to try these cleaners before I order large quantities of them. Anyone know if I can pick them up anywhere around Murfreesboro?
  2. That’s big, that is getting close to acknowledging a right to bear arms. I wish tennessee would word ours that way. That will be interesting. They got it right. Thts a joke right?
  3. I believe that it should require a conviction in court. Once that happens unless they can prove the property came from something besides drug money; it’s gone, all of it. Americans are losing jobs at an alarming rate which is causing the government to require more taxes from those that are left working. I’m supposed to worry about what they take from a criminal? I don’t think so… take all their stuff. Every dollar they take from them is one less dollar they will need from me.
  4. I’ve seen you walking around before.
  5. I’m not sure I understand. They are going to seize the illegal property anyway, so I assume you are talking about the drug dealer’s private property? It has never been a problem for most departments. If a guy sells drugs out of his house or makes his house payments with drug proceeds his house is gone, same with cars and anything else. Any vehicles used in the transportation of illegal drugs are gone; what’s the problem?
  6. If you are buying a safe for fire protection you need to determine if any of those numbers will protect a firearm from damage.
  7. No I didn’t mean that. I just meant open carry in general anywhere it the state. I know some states say they allow open carry, but the large cities or metro areas have carry bans; those states don’t count. I would really be surprised if it was 28, but if that’s what it is, that’s a good thing. And I think there are only two states that allow unrestricted carry without a permit; Alaska and Vermont.
  8. How many? How many states can you open carry in, anywhere in the state without any kind of permit?
  9. This is the best deal I have found for mounting a scope on an AR. I get them from J&T at the local gun shows. (I got one at the Nashville show and one at the Murfreesboro show). They are well made, rock solid, and cost less than most other one piece mounts. ($50 OTD) Sorry for the lousy pics, but the cell phone was laying here.
  10. Well this is How are the members of the basketball team going to pull an armed robbery without guns? And when the football team decides to load up a car with drugs and illegal weapons WTF are they going to do? Are they expected to have to go borrow guns from other students?
  11. I’ve shot in competition a lot and I have never seen it. I would feel that I was truly in the presence of greatness if I saw it. But I’m sure you are right; someone has done it, and someone is probably fixin’ to pop up here and tell us the story of when they did it.
  12. Get a dog and none of that stuff is even an issue.
  13. I have never seen anyone here claim to be able to shoot 1†groups at 50 yards off hand with a handgun. As a matter of fact most of the time I see those size of groups being discussed they are using a rest; which to me is meaningless. Heck yes they lie. When you go to the range they are all shooting at the 7 yard line and comparing group size. Then they post here and talk about 50 yard shots.
  14. Nothing to worry about just requires another Glock “Upgradeâ€.
  15. I’m saying the Feds do not have the authority to tell citizens of a state like Illinois, New York or California that they can all strap on their guns and go walking down the street. I’m also saying that the Feds know that and the SCOTUS will never try. Are the Feds ready to take over the responsibility for law enforcement in all the states? While that may be the Obama plan the states will not stand for it. Of all the people on this forum I am really surprised that you would think this is okay for one second. If this wasn’t a gun issue you would be going nuts if someone suggest that the Feds were going to call the shots. Who carries guns is a states rights issue, pure and simple. I am going to keep this handy and post it the next time you go on one of your anti-government tirades.
  16. All you have to do is go (or call) to the Circuit Clerks office (Or whoever handles court records in the county where it happened) and have them give you a notarized copy of the disposition. The disposition is probably on file but didn’t make it to the Feds. Was that information not in the letter from the ATF? You have to deal with it or it will continue to come up.
  17. You do understand don’t you that the Supreme Court is not required to hear any case? They can choose to stand silent and leave it up to the Federal Districts as they have done for the last 50 years. Do your research on how the various Federal Districts stand on 2nd amendment issues. What are you hoping it will be?
  18. So it is your opinion that somewhere along the line the SCOTUS may say that the right to bear arms is an individual right, and all the folks in Illinois, New York, California and even Tennessee can strap on their sidearm and go walking down the street? Does that even remotely sound like a possibility to you? BTW… I’m all for anyone being able to carry a gun. I believe it is a right; I just don’t tie that right to the 2nd amendment. But I’m also a realist and I know that there are several states that would tell the SCOTUS to go pound sand. The court knows that and they are not going to go there.
  19. They don’t reduce your smoking. You are supposed to start taking them one week prior to your quit date.
  20. We have never fought a war like the Civil War. And yes, that means something. It means that regardless of what was written in the Constitution the battle over States Rights tore this country in half.
  21. Check back with me when the 2nd means you can carry a firearm regardless of state law. I think you are adding an awful lot of drama to Heller that just wasn’t there. Go back and read the posts on the forum during that time. Both sides of the gun debate claim a victory from Heller. Did it change anything? No. The SCOTUS acknowledged that you have a right to own guns and the state has the right to regulate how, when, where, and if you can bear them. Same as it’s always been and the same as it’s always going to be. It is illegal to carry a loaded firearm in Tennessee and Illinois; and I’m willing to bet that doesn’t change with any SCOTUS ruling.
  22. You will not live long enough to see a SCOTUS ruling that will allow carry. It can’t happen; we already fought a war over that. And McDonald has nothing to do with carry.
  23. I think it’s funny. It was a bad choice on his part. But I have to believe that someone was already looking for a reason to get rid of him. But hey… if you can play the race card no one can question your motives without being called out as a racist themselves.
  24. Sure that might work. Unless of course those are cops in the car. Then you are either going to be shot, or be taken down at gunpoint, arrested, charged with a felony, lose your HCP and do some jail time. What part of having an HCP could possibly make you think that approaching a suspicious vehicle on a public street while open carrying would be a good idea, or that anything good could come of it?
  25. Certainly. That is as long as it’s someone that would be intimidated by that, and is less trained that you are. But if it’s a gang banger that rolls the window down and drops you dead while doing your intimidating "OC strut"; it would not be very smart.
