I support protectionism and I don’t even try to sugar coat it or lie about it. I am an American patriot. Finding a Patriot that speaks open and honestly about the issues and can get elected seems impossible anymore. After the last election I question that we can even have an election on the issues anymore. The last elections was to see if we could elect a minority and I fear the next one will be to see if we can elect a woman. The middle class is split all over the place on the issues and along party lines. The low income voters are focused on a single candidate. Their group is getting much larger while the middle class is getting smaller.

What brand holster is that? Before I read the entire story I figured that holster indent into the trigger guard was the culprit.

I have not implied that we are all dumb. I have stated outright that most are not the Patriots they profess to be. Until that changes; things will stay the same. Think about that as you decide on your purchases at the gun show. Sent from my DELL using a Keyboard.

Anyone using a Crossbreed Super Tuck for a Ruger LCR?
DaveTN replied to crossfire's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
When did they start that? I would have sent mine back, it takes up to much room in the “Holsters I don’t use†drawer. -
Bravo….Bravo. How are you “Fighting to your last breath So you think this is all about who we elect and not about Americans being responsible citizens? First and foremost we must restore our economy. If that does not happen; nothing else matters. What are your ideas on doing that and who do you want us to vote for that will do that?

I picked the Remington VLS in .308. In the reviews I read it was more accurate than the SPS. It has a longer heavy barrel, jeweled bolt and a better stock. I wanted a walnut stock and a heavy barrel, but had to settle for a laminate. Every bit as important (if not more so) is the scope. I chose a Leupold VX-3 6.5X20X40 Long range. I too had narrowed it down to picking between the 700 and the savage. I picked the 700 based on the fact that it was a time tested proven performer and while the Savage looked impressive its recommendations were almost always followed by “for the money†or “almost as good as the 700â€. The money difference wasn’t a deciding factor for me. However…. I bought this for a bench rest target rifle. This sucker is heavy and I wouldn’t want to carry it around. I don’t hunt, but I sure wouldn’t pick this for a hunting rifle.

From the manual for my S&W M&P15-22…

I think it’s 50/50 between the weapon and the ammo. I had a Remington 597 that wouldn’t fire and feed anything but CCI Mini-Mags for the first 500 rounds. I started with the Remington’s and when I had problems with those I tried Federal; they wouldn’t even operate the action. After 1K it would feed most anything, but never failed with the CCI’s. I had a box of Winchesters that I could hardly eject get out of my 617, but the CCI’s slid right out. My Remington 552 SpeedMaster, and my S&W M&P15-22 don’t seem to be too picky. (But I’ve only had the M&P to the range once.) Just seems to me it’s the nature of the .22. I have a lot of center fire weapons and I don’t have any that have ammo or feeding issues.

Certainly. If it’s a Remington you don’t care about.

I don’t shoot steel case, but I thought I would pass this along. Aim has .308 Steel case for $4.99 a box or 500 rounds cases for $119.75. I wish I could find some brass that cheap… even the junk South African stuff. Tula .308 Win FMJ 150grn 20rd Box

Most people have no concept of what that means. Just as they have no concept of what .08 means. That’s just my opinion based on arresting many drunk drivers that thought they were fine only to be shocked at what their BAC level was. Your judgment is impaired before you are legally intoxicated; that is an undisputed fact. No intelligent person would drink while they are carrying; and if they are doing it off their property their permit needs to be revoked and they need to go to jail. I will not support any legislation that allows an HCP holder to drink while they are armed.

I don’t think so because right after I quit laughing I picked "I DISAGREE TAKE ME ELSEWHERE" But I’m not a lawyer and I don’t play one on TV.

He probably doesn’t like you because you keep misspelling his name.

It’s a superior round to the 9mm; that’s why a lot of departments have gone to it. Based on what I have seen myself, it is third in line behind the .45ACP and .357Mag as a choice for a carry round. I own a couple of carry guns in .40S&W; I haven’t owned any 9mm’s in years. I would own a 9mm if I could find a cheap 1911 range gun chambered it 9mm. 9MM to me is a cheap paper puncher. However…. That’s just how the caliber wars go. Most people commenting here have never seen a shooting, never seen a person that has been shot, doesn’t know enough about physics to look at anything other than velocity, and has little or no experience with the rounds they are pretending to know something about. Their Dad or brother told them a 9mm was a great round and that’s all it took. How boring would things be without a “Caliber Wars†debate every once in awhile?

Apparently Marfione feels they are fine art also.

Barack Obama, The defender of the faith
DaveTN replied to JG55's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Exactly. And that is why it won’t happen. Obama may think he is a King and doesn’t answer to anyone, but he doesn’t have enough political power to overcome the outrage of the American people when the families of those who died start speaking out. It is truly a sign of his ignorance (and arrogance) that we should even have to have a discussion on such a ridiculous issue. -
Don’t worry about being competitive; jump right in with the big boys (and girls) and you will be around some people you can learn from. I haven’t shot in competition in years so I can’t help you with where; but I would look (or post) in the “Competitive Shooting Sports†section.

I wouldn’t be to upset over it. It’s you that didn’t make the deal not him. Should you post the name of the shop here and let everyone rip on them? I wouldn’t; that would make you look like an azzhat. Just like here. When some people tell you “I’ll take it†you can take that to the bank. Others come up with lame azz excuses why they let their mouth overload their azz; happens all the time.

I’m a former cop and for what it’s worth I don’t want any signs and I want the ability to make my alarm “silent†when I am not there. If I’m going to be broken into I want the cops to have a chance to catch them in the house. (Of course I have a Doberman, so this scenario is not going to happen. )

You have finished a .45 collection or you have finished a Glock .45 collection? A finished .45 collection would be a magnificent thing to see... if it could ever happen

They are all that way. Used prices on guns are crazy everywhere. Unless I’m buying a collector or surplus I might as well buy new, and the collector and surplus guns I’ll find on the net. It appears to me that most of the dealers bump their prices up on new to bring them to the show. I can usually get them for less from the forum dealers I use. I went to the one a month ago to check out the Remington R1, but no one had it. Unless some dealers start showing some gun show discounts I think the net will kill gun shows. I would be curious to hear from some of our forum dealers. Since I haven’t seen them at gun shows I would guess it’s because the business they get doesn’t justify the cost.
-
In the last few years “Good Deals†on used guns are pretty few and far between. If they are a good price many people snatch them up and relist them. Always compare what you are paying for used with what new would cost from a reputable dealer. You wouldn’t pay new price for a used car; don’t do it with guns.
