    Changing History

I would take an AC-130 Gunship back to 1861 and end the Civil War in a week; the South would have won.
  2. The only thing I see S&W offering right now in a “Snub†is the Model 325 night guard. And in my opinion an “N†frame is too big for carry. You probably won’t carry it much. I know you wanted to stick with those two rounds, but I would go with a .357Mag for a revolver. It opens up a whole bunch of very good possibilities.
  3. I usually register on-line. I don’t worry about who knows I own it.
  4. Someone must be buying these things. Though for the life of me I can’t figure out why, other than maybe for a novelty item. I’m really surprised S&W got involved in this.
  5. I carry either a full size 40 or a Compact. I carry the full size in an OWB covered by a shirt; it prints, but doesn’t really show. I carry the Compact in a Supertuck (but wish I would have got the Bullard). It’s more concealable, but is still pretty thick. They are both great weapons, but I don’t know what your idea of “Too big to carry isâ€.
  6. They are used for holding rimless cartridges in a revolver. (9mm,.45ACP)
  7. Done..... S&W Model 625.
  8. Aren’t there whistleblower laws that cover this kind of stuff? I don’t think a legislator has any power to offer immunity to anyone.
  9. It’s tough watching your dog have problems, and not knowing. Hope she comes out of it okay.
  10. I’m a Smith & Wesson fan, but what a waste of engineering. Hey Smith & Wesson…. How about giving us something new we can use…. Like a micro .40S&W.
  11. Most of us aren’t worried about that.

Frames, options, caliber and finishes. For example the 66 and 19 are the same gun; the 66 is stainless and the 19 is blue. They are K frames, and two of the most popular Police Duty Guns ever. The 686 was the new (Circa 1983) frame that was heavier than the K, but still lighter than the N frame. The 686 and the 586 took the place of the 66 and 19 as duty weapons. A 681 is basically a 686 except with fixed sights. Owning and collecting Smith & Wesson’s is a great hobby. There are catalogs written on all the models they have made over 150 years. I picked the 686 for the best because the OP said “All aroundâ€. To me that would mean Duty, Carry, and Competition. While I love my J frames they aren’t Duty or competition weapons.
  13. You are being facetious right?
  14. You believe that if a person is charged with 1st degree murder and the jury finds him not guilty; the family of the dead guy couldn’t successfully sue him civilly? I have trouble getting my head around that because as we all know a not guilty verdict doesn’t mean the person didn’t commit the crime; it just means the state couldn’t prove its criminal case.
  15. What happens when you get on one of your real computers; will it let you edit the post then?
  16. Maybe you should just put an ad in the WTB section. That may work out better for you.

  18. Well… they certainly aren’t worried about upsetting the heathens are they?
  19. I am not an attorney but I would think only a civil court could rule it “justifiedâ€. A criminal court is not going to rule that you were justified; only that you are guilty or not guilty of the crime you are charged with. However…. Let’s be real. If you are in a criminal trial; you have screwed up. Finding you not guilty is not the same as saying the shooting was justified; it could just mean the jury had some doubts. That’s how I read it. Only a Civil Court can rule it “Justifiedâ€. You will get paid back if the court so rules, and if the person has the funds to pay you back. If the dirtbags Mother sues you for killing her thug son; I doubt you will be seeing any money. You are never going to get a free pass. It’s a “feel good†law; it has no teeth.
  20. Why would you want metal grips?

The 66 and 19 are not made anymore. Therefore the Smith & Wesson 686 would own this category. I doubt there are any modern full size .357Mag revolvers that come close to the kind of numbers of these sold. And the quality and customer service is second to none.
  22. Also… its possible charges could not be filed until years later. That option is open until the statute of limitations runs out. I can think of a case right now where no charges have been filed, a Grand Jury failed to indict, but I don’t think the homeowner is going to walk away from a civil trial free and clear.
  23. I doubt this home was built for entertaining business clients. They are owned by Textron. As their name implies; Overwatch sees all. They are the eyes for “Big Brotherâ€. This guy has apparently just cashed in on all the “Satellite, GPS, spy stuff†while he can. Overwatch
  24. Why… do you have rats?
  25. I hope the republicans don’t pick Trump; he can’t win.
