SB0397 (Campfield): Expanded carry legislation
DaveTN replied to GKar's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I assume it will all be tracked via computer. Obviously a Judge can’t make you hand over your DL if he is revoking your HCP. Those problems would be addressed electronically would be my guess. -
SB0397 (Campfield): Expanded carry legislation
DaveTN replied to GKar's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I understand there is no new bill, but to comment on your question… You will still have to go through an HCP class; so if you don’t have a DL, they would give you an HCP. If we did away with the HCP requirements (class etc.) we would lose reciprocity with some states. -
Several places do that. They are required to know the state laws as well as their Federal laws. California (I don’t know if there are others) requires that all handguns (even C&R) go through an 01FFL. I would guess CDNN and others just don’t want to mess with it. I think AIM will ship to you.

Was there some kind of state occupational safety law on the books that implies allowing guns in the work place is a hazard? Since this doesn’t force allowing anyone to carry, and doesn’t seem to limit liability; it appears it addresses some other issue.
-
Why? I ask to see it for state of residence no matter how old you are. It’s on me if you are not a Tennessee resident. I’ve never had someone under age try to buy a gun from me, but I have had an out of state resident try to meet for a FTF.

They don’t care. They don’t care about how our manufacturing base impacts the economy. What makes you think they would care about how the music industry impacts our economy? Sure profit drives progress, but there will always be someone there to do it. Maybe not at the wages you make, but there are plenty of people in India that will do it. Some are more than happy to bring a Recording Engineer from India or China that will work for about a quarter of what you want. Then when you lose your job he’ll move into your house. Of course this is based on the assumption that you aren’t already a Recording Engineer from India or China. I just saw a thread on here today where someone was saying that he didn’t care about supporting local gun stores; all he wants is the lowest possible price. That attitude seems to be pretty common; it’s why our economy is collapsing. Everyone wants to keep profits high when it’s their industry. But everyone else just cares about the end cost of their CD/DVD/Picture/Music. And if they can illegally download it they are more than willing to give you a speech about why they aren’t a thief.

Good grief man…. You need him to come over to your house and hold your hand while he reads it to you? Legal Resources

What do you do?

I think there is more oil than there is food. Alaska, the Gulf, and now even some of the Northwest states contain more oil than we could ever need. The price of gas isn’t about the availability of oil; it’s about monopolies and money. Let’s pick one oil company and put them out of business. What do you think will happen to the price of gas then? I’m not an isolationist but I am a protectionist. This is on us and nothing is going to change until we step up to the plate.

Constitutional Law, Union and State.

You have freedom of speech, you are protected against unreasonable search and the last time I checked you still had the right to trial, and protection against double jeopardy and self-incrimination….. All pretty much still the way our founding Fathers had intended. Oh and by the way….. The right to vote is still fully there and unobstructed. A lot of what we perceive as problems is what the majority of the people want. Don’t ever forget the majority of the people voted for Obama. -
I would guess that carding is a company policy, not the law. I would guess the law is that you don’t serve minors. But thats just a WAG I have not looked the law up. I’m old so it doesn’t bother me. When I was young it didn’t bother me either; except when I was too young and got turned down.

I missed the part where any citizens were disarmed. A retired and a current Chicago Police Officer both exited the house, armed, and engaged in a gun battle with the thugs. The son was killed and the father killed one of the thugs and wounded another. This is a tragedy, but I can’t see the connection to gun laws; everyone involved was obviously armed.

I’m thinking they aren’t alone.

Nah… just cut a check to whoever did it.

No one…. including the government, recognizes God given rights. As soon as they do we don’t need to argue the 2nd to be able to carry. But the heathens get upset when we even talk about “Godâ€. They don’t fully understand the separation of church and state and feel we shouldn’t even acknowledge “God given rightsâ€. -
So… you think when some of the heavily tattooed models are hired (because of their tats) the tattoo artists all line up with their hands out? Of course they don’t; that’s ridiculous. Sure it is.

It appears he is using a wide aperture and a fast shutter speed which causes a shallow depth of field. Which means it is blurring the background and making those ducks “Pop out†at you. If that is the case I doubt he needed anything to “touch up†that photo. Good shots. I’m not a hunter but I love to photograph and watch animals in the wild.
-
Sure it is. When we can’t post a news story because the owner of a forum has to worry about being sued; it has gone too far. (That won’t last long; it’s just the latest internet drama.) As far as the tattoo goes…. Once he puts it on my body he has relinquished any rights of how when or where it is displayed. Another artist might have problems if he copies my tattoo, but if I want to take a picture of my tattoo and display it on the front page of the paper I can do that; I own it.

yep...its out of control.

Is ‘Project Gunwalker’ about to bust wide open?
DaveTN replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Hillary looked like a complete fool when she made her statement about 90% of the guns in the hands of Mexican cartels came from the U.S. Am I the only one thinking that this was all done to make her look like she had a clue? This stinks. The guns aren’t coming from here and if ATF agents were allowing guns into Mexico it was at the direction of someone pretty high up. -
What would you do in a situation like this?

Dang man take a breath. I know exactly what Carter posted in his story on an Internet forum… no more, no less. So see it’s not omniscience or assumptions; it’s just RIF. -
No, but I bet Walther is about to become Smith & Wesson. And they have the best CS in the firearms industry. Smith & Wesson is their importer now and is even making some Walthers. I read a thread on here posted by a Walther owner who was complaining that Smith & Wesson was taking too long getting the parts for his Walther recall.

Window tint (depending on the car it’s on) might put you in the “Target Vehicle†category. I usually wouldn’t write it, but its great PC for a stop.

Sure, but you weren’t jumping in to help the innocent woman. I’m not jumping in to help the two criminals that are getting shot at. Matter of fact I’m not even calling 911.
