  1. Why wouldn’t it? No one is flying; a bailout won’t change that. I don’t expect to see much of any change until this is over.
  2. My wife told me to quit looking at it and quit worrying about it. No one has clue 1 how long this will last or what will happen. Some reporters are too stupid to understand the President only know what his professionals are telling him, and no matter how many times they ask; it won’t change. Those professionals are standing right there on the stage with him and giving us a firsthand account. What do they say about timing when they get in front of the microphone? “We don’t know”, and “a vaccine would normally take 12-18 months”.
  3. Not so many years ago if this happened and my salary was suddenly stopped; it would have been devastating. I feel blessed that other than my IRA taking a beating; my family is okay. I support everything the President is doing to get money into the hands of those that need it. I hope Congress works with him. If there was ever a legitimate time and place to “throw money at it” or “throw money away” as some call it; helping the working class is it. Unfortunately, I suspect those that don’t need or deserve it will also get it.
  4. I suspect the next thing will be to get people on unemployment without a waiting period. But, I doubt they are prepared to handle that spike very well.
  5. Becton Dickinson Seeks Emergency FDA Approval for a Two-Hour Coronavirus Test https://time.com/5804222/two-hour-coronavirus-test/
  6. Were gun sales going crazy in there like the internet would have us believe? Because looking at the guns for sale here it doesn’t appear, they are moving any faster.
  7. And we had done so well at keeping this away from tinfoil hat conspiracy theories. Not that, that is what the article is; but that is where that will immediately go.
  8. I have a rifle set-up for it, but I don’t have access to anywhere here that I can shoot over 328 yards. I wouldn’t start out with those “expensive to shoot rounds”, unless you have a reason for doing so. I’d start with the .308 Winchester. It can do 1000 yards and a bunch of low-cost practice ammo is readily available. Do you have somewhere to shoot? What is "long Range" to you?
  9. Ain't that the truth. And its like .40S&W ammo, I'll pick it up from those that don't want it.
  10. I have stuff I save to get me out of many different types of emergencies. But I can’t post a picture of it because when I scan it, my photo software gives me a warning from the Federal government to knock it off. It’s very light weight and I don’t have to bury it in the ground or store it in a bunker. It has not failed me yet.
  11. Correct, the Marshalls can’t do anything. And… it isn’t Martial Law either, so until it is the LEO’s can’t do anything either.
  12. Will a $1000 check stimulate the economy? Of course not, because people aren’t spending except what they have to. Many Americans pay checks have been cut off without warning. However, You should be glad that we have a President that is taking the economic impact on the working class seriously. If you think that is socialism; you don’t understand. This may soon be the economic doom and gloom you have preached to us for years.
  13. I agree on Smith & Wesson. Even though I am a Smith & Wesson fan boy and will continue to buy them; their customer service certainly is not anywhere near what it used to be. S&W’s has always argued their sins of the past were from when the Brits owned them; they are still putting internal locks on guns. And they are still putting crappy triggers in the M&P’s, but they are selling like crazy…. S&W is good though about giving the customer what they want in product and options. Sure, there will always be someone whining about something, but they have a better selection of options than most. They have recently had a lot of problems with that Shield EZ. Instead of stopping production until they find out what’s going on, they keep pumping them out. I also believe they are playing fast and loose with the “Performance Center” name. That name used to mean something special; not anymore. Ruger appears to be doing a lot. Bill Ruger is dead and the company is being run by businessmen with new ideas. Most of the new stuff they are doing are guns I’m not interested in, but I did recently buy a new Mark IV and a Blackhawk Convertible. I don’t buy foreign guns, so I don’t know much about what Glock is doing. But I did find myself looking at the new SIG P365XL due to expanded capacity. But with their limited warranty and issues I have seen on this forum with SIG; I decided to stick with the Shield in that size.
  14. We were down to quality ammo cheap (kinda) and $400 brand new AR's. Something had to happen. I wonder if Coronavirus will be a better gun/ammo salesman than Obama.
  15. By 1980 they just shot themselves, and then took orders for a lot of vests.
  16. Yeah, I went there, luckily found a parking spot up front as I started to leave. But when I got close enough to see inside; I turned around and left. It was packed nuts to butts. I was going to plan better this time and see what was available for Cowboy Western holsters. But I can do what is being asked of me and wait. I doubt much will be there, if its even held.
  17. Coronavirus Fears Fueling Spike in Sales of Guns and Ammunition People wait in a line to enter a gun store in Culver City, Calif. on March 15, 2020. Coronavirus concerns have led to consumer panic buying of grocery staples, and now gun stores are seeing a similar run on weapons and ammunition as panic intensifies. Ringo H.W. 18. I would wear those if they were both either Zebra or Tortoise (even though they look leopard). But them being mixed like that would be a fashion faux pas I just could not be seen in public with.
  19. I remember when they did this before. Everyone was appalled and would never buy from them again. Obviously, that didn’t pan out.
  20. After getting their azz chewed out for making stupid statements on Social Media, Murfreesboro city government isn’t saying much. But I doubt many will buy tables at that show. That’s the bad news. The good news (this a good news/bad news/ deal) is that if they have it you will probably be able to find a parking space.
  21. I would take that bet.… the Airlines are required for National Security, Hotels, not so much, and we don’t need cruise ships for anything.
  22. I think that’s how most of us feel. One of the major differences here is that while many of the folks, especially the older ones, fear getting the virus, the fear of what this could do to our economy is shared by young and old both.
  23. Unless you can’t hit the broad side of a barn while you are standing in it, or plan on firing a lot of warning shots; I fail to see the need for thousands of rounds of ammo for a SHTF scenario. Don’t get me wrong, I have thousands of rounds, but they are for range trips.
  24. The President has asked that we limit 10 people in a thread at a time.
