  2. The Outpost is probably near the size of the Franklin Gun Shop and the prices are about the same. Guns and Leather has the largest selection combined with the best prices. Ordering from Buds or CDNN and shipping to a local FFL was what it took for my last couple of purchases.
  3. “Zero Tolerance†never works. It’s for people that are too lazy to do their job or don’t want to have to take responsibility for their decisions. Teachers and administrators need to have discretion. But even then you will have parents whining when one kid get a two day suspension and another gets a two week suspension. This is parents and teachers; it’s always going to be high drama.
  4. There is no way to know unless you made contact with someone that was there with him. Any weapon you choose will honor your Fathers memory. Sorry for your loss.
  5. Well of course.... lets make sure we waste some more money on trials. I don’t think I have ever heard our legal system called perfect. At least not by those that have experience with it. Don’t get me wrong, there are worse, but ours is nowhere near perfect or is just.
  6. Instead of wasting time and resources filming, that DPS helicopter should have been armed with Mini-Guns, dropped in there and left the bodies of all the bad guys floating in the river.
  7. I disagree. This is one of the few things that has little to do with money; this is about gun control. The Feds want to control who can sell guns and many of the local governments don’t want guns sold period. If it was only about money I would be able to get an FFL.
  8. Even with tax I haven’t been able to beat Wal-Marts prices on range ammo. 100 or a 1000 (if they have that much)
  9. I’ m surprised more people haven’t been arrested for this; some have made themselves pretty easy targets. Do a Google search and there are plenty of stories of people getting charged. Anyone that can pass the background check and have secure storage of weapons, should be able to get an FFL. I wonder if the fact that the SCOTUS has now ruled that owning a gun is an individual right, will impact the prohibitive laws on getting an FFL. If I pay the money why should the ATF care if I ever sell a gun? And if I’m not creating a nuisance with people coming and going why should a city require me to be zoned for business to have an FFL?
  10. I'm only on page 5.
  11. This guy is going to be convicted no matter where he is tried. Not if they subpoena him. And we needto know that because….? He’ll probably get a lighter sentence than if it’s treatedas terrorism. Can we arrest a U.S. Citizen before a crime was committed? I could see that argument coming from the victim’s family. But the father of the shooter is a low life piece of dirt to suggest this was the fault of the FBI. Why didn’t he call the Police if he wanted his son arrested so badly?
  12. +1 for CDNN Sports. Ordered my M&P15T on Saturday it was delivered to my dealer yesterday. No muss, no fuss, I told them who I wanted to use and they said “He’s listed with us and good to go. The rifle is in stock, is that where you want it shipped?†I have been trying for weeks to find this rifle (or one like it) either the local dealers didn’t have it or their price was crazy. This was an uneventful transaction…. That’s a good thing.
  13. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again. Home Invaders are not thieves or burglars. They are going to take what you have by force. They seldom hit randomly, generally you have been targeted. They will force their way in fast and they are generally fully prepared for whatever you have. Unless you can lay your hands on a loaded weapon in seconds; you probably are at their mercy. Very few people will have the time or the skill set to takeon multiple home invaders. It’s something everyone should think about and have a plan for. By plan I mean something other than…. Go down fighting. Pulling a gun when an AR is pointed at your head is stupid. “Give them what they want†usually applies to when you are looking down the barrel of a gun and you don’t have one.
  14. Guns are something than I can still buy and make sure my money is going to help keep American jobs. No need for foreign shotguns no matter how cheap they get.
  15. Pretty cool isn’t it? You know some will be messing with that all day.
  16. How much alcohol does it take to post something like that?
  17. There isn’t anything wrong with that particular part of it. It’s an adversarial system. Each side can dismiss a certain number of jurors. At least we have that option as opposed to an Inquisitorial system. Your wife apparently felt strong enough about the 2nd to give a speech during jury selection. That kind of passion may cause the Prosecutor to believe that your wife couldn’t make a decision based solely on the evidence. If you were prosecuting someone on weapons charges you wouldn’t want someone who has a problem with our states laws. If I was on trial on a weapons charge and someone walked inwearing a Brady Bunch or Mother Against Guns lapel pin; I hope they would get kicked also. I could never be on a jury where the death sentence is a possibility. I don’t believe in it and would not be part of it no matter what the evidence showed. Is that unfair to the accused? I don’t know, but I have to do what I believe in. Of course it’s all about convictions. The overwhelming majority of criminal cases are dismissed or resolved before trial. It makes a Prosecutor look bad if they take a case to trial when they don’t have the evidence to get a conviction.
  18. Deputy Sheriff Keith Bellar, Dickson County Sheriff's Department, Tennessee
  19. They won’t be asking anything; they will be telling. It’s called duress. If you refuse the test you don’t get money for you or your kids to eat. If you give me permission to search your car I won’t arrest you for DUI. That’s illegal; how’s it any different. I don’t care if they drug test welfare recipients and I don’t care if they come up with some plan to make them work. I’m just pointing out something that most of you would be screaming from the rooftops about if it wasn’t being done to poor people that have no ability to hire quality legal representation. Not only are they going to violate their rights; but they are going to make them pay for it. You can’t seriously believe this will get through the courts? It’s being done by politicians that think they will get your vote because you see this as something positive. What’s next drug testing for Social Security recipients? Or how about this for those of you that are making the argument that welfare is not a right…. Driving is not a right; it is a privilege. Therefore we have decided that the 4th amendment does not apply to vehicles being operated on state and federal roads. You can have a driver’s license, but you will have to sign a paper giving the government the freedom to stop and search your vehicle at random. Because after all…. Drugs and drunk drivers are a huge cost to tax payers. Really?? What about this…. Probable cause does not come into play when you are asking someone to prove they are not breaking a law.
  20. I don’t know. But I know that a convicted felon can get their gun rights back in many states; but not Tennessee, no matter what the Feds say. Tennessee is more restrictive than most states or the Feds. You can get your gun rights back here even with an expungement.
  21. No. Did you read what I said?
  22. There is no right and wrong…. Only our opinions. The cops aren’t charged with anything and I doubt they will be. A bad guy pulled a gun on cops and they killed him. No cops were injured. I don’t call that a failure. But I don’t think putting my opinion in big azz letters will cause any one to change their mind either.
  23. Prayers for the Deputy.
  24. For those of you that were asleep the last two years, let me fill you in. Where and when you carry a gun is not a individual constitutional right. Owning a gun and keeping it on your property is a right. It is a crime to carry a gun in the state of Tennessee. It is also a crime for a convicted felon to be in possession of a firearm. If I'm not mistaken in the last couple of years Tennessee passed legislation that made that offense mandatory prison time. Now that we have determined that this is a state issue and not a constitutional one, I will say this; If a person has done their time and the state has seen fit to release them, they should have their rights reinstated. If a person committed a crime so violent that they shouldn't be allowed to own a gun; they either shouldn't be out of prison or they should be on parole for life, and the gun restriction can be a condition of parole.
