You seem to have the idea that all us old guys are planning on lying around and living off the government. You went into that tirade after my retirement remark. I wasn’t implying all us old guys are going to live off the government. OS beat me to it......... Hit the “Enter†key and breathe once in a while. We have these things called paragraphs that make it easier for us old guys to read. You have ideas that you obviously believe in, but it’s hard to read when they all run together. You aren’t the President with a speech writer yet and if you want to get elected you will be judged here not only on what you say, but how you present it.

Aren’t Hendersonville PD and the Sumner County DA’s office the agency’s that decided to charge a HCP holder because they didn’t think he should be carrying a PLR-16 as a carry gun in his car? Or am I thinking of some other “Gun Friendly” area?

Why does it matter where it is?

This isn’t about anyone taking over anything or anyone. No nation on earth has the ability to wage war with us. Not China, not North Korea, not the two of them combined. As long as any country has the ability to launch ballistic missiles and other countries do not have the ability to knock them down; they are safe. You better buy into it. I’m 57 years old. I think I’ll make it through retirement okay. You probably won’t and your kids damn sure won’t. You can’t turn your back on your country and expect to survive, and they aren’t enough patriotsleft to carry your share of the load.

One reason is because the court that ruled it (I assume you would be talking about the United States Supreme Court) would be making a decision that they don’t have the authority to make or the ability to enforce. We would be back at 1861.

The National Debt is just like my internet connection…. The numbers are so high they don’t even mean anything anymore. We will do what everyone that can’t pay their bills does…. We won’t pay it. Only difference is with the national debt there isn’t anyone that can do anything about it. At least that’s Obamas (and most other politicians) take on it. For the last 30 years the financial experts have been telling us that our economy can’t recover until our manufacturing base recovers. “We the people†refuse to listen to them because of our own individual greed. This is on us. We control it and we can change it on any given day.

How and where you carry is up to the state. The United States Supreme Court could rule differently, but it would be unenforceable. There are some recent State Supreme Court rulings on state open carry issues.

The Bianchi 82 looks like it will do the job. But doesn’t it require you to properly press the release as you are drawing? A thumb break can be popped whenever you need it and isn’t an issue anymore.

Years ago “Custom Guns†implied a higher level of craftsmanship and accuracy; not necessarily different. Today most people only care about cost. The term “Custom†is used to get more money. A guy builds an AR out of the cheapest parts he can find on the net. He has learned on this rifle and made mistakes. Then he wants to do better, so now he tries to sell that POS basement assembly for the cost of a quality rifle by calling it a “Custom Buildâ€. For me to pay you extra money for a “Custom Rifle†you need to have a reputation and a proven performance record on the range.

Guys in the military don’t have money, or at least we didn’t when I was in. Without making a big production out of it (that would attract those that want something for nothing) maybe you could donate some gunsmithing time for those in your area that are serving or recently returned. Maybe you could do free FFL transfers for active duty or those that it is brought to your attention deserving. When you see someone in uniform, shake their hand and thank them.

That’s what I was thinking. I would have replied “Your money has been refunded in full; Sorry you feel you wasted your time.†That stuff about having to get up in front of the class was hilarious. He’ll never be able to post anything about satisfaction guaranteed again.

I think I’ll pass. I just looked on the S&W forum and according to them it’s made by Umarex. Umarex makes junk. Remember the Colt AR22? This would be cool if S&W made it. I’m disappointed in Smith & Wesson if its true they are having a cheesy version of the M&P made.

Don’t let the tin foils hats divert your common sense. If you feel the need for a BOS ask for one. Just make sure the buyer/seller knows that up front before the meet. If they don’t want to sign anything…. Pass. That link is there for a reason. DISCLAIMER: I don’t use that BOS, but I do require a Tennessee DL or HCP. You may not be legally required to know the background of the person you are buying/selling/trading with; but you are legally required to know that they are of age and a resident of Tennessee. If something goes wrong you will be standing in court and paying your attorney bills by yourself.

I don’t know enough about the incident to have an opinion. I was simply offering a possible explanation of why cops would be using AK's. Okay? From that story it sounds as if they are being tried now.

The hurricane had already hit. The city was in turmoil. Cops that didn’t have semi-auto rifles assigned to them were probably carrying whatever they had at home or could seize. I know I would have been. I’m not making any judgments; I just think in that situation everyone, Cops and Citizens alike, were arming themselves with whatever they could get their hands on.

Impersonating a Police Officer usually requires some act or intent on the part of the accused; not just dressing up like a cop. I doubt wearing a wearing a Metro police K-9 t-shirt with police insignias printed on it a crime in this state. But we have no idea what he really did.

So they want us to believe they need this legislation to prosecute Federal Agents acting on orders? These laws will be used to prosecute people who are running internet gun businesses without a license. The story implies that this legislation only applies to guns crossing state lines; is that the case?

In Tennessee they don’t track or legislate what we can carry. The instructor in my class said he didn’t keep a record of scores, simply pass/fail for obvious reasons. I would think a person would want to qualify with something close to what they shoot, but whatever.

This guy quit the NRA and started his own group. The NRA is worthless. IMHO of course.
