  1. Everything has a cash price.
  2. You are missing the fact that they can trade for a gun of equal value they want. But if they put a cash price on it they will be accused of trying to rip people off. Or, someone interested in trading wants to bicker around about $50 bucks because they want $50 more for their gun than the cash price you put on yours. The best way to do it is put what you want to trade for and tell people if they want to buy it outright; they can make an offer. Then just don’t respond to those that that send the “What’s your bottom dollar†emails. If you see a gun you want and you make a cash offer that the buyer is willing to accept; he will probably agree and sell you the gun.
  3. Two cops were in the center median with their overheads on, you don’t know who they were, what they were doing, or whether there had been any kind of accident or incident prior to your arrival. What do you want to know?
  4. Is this a 2011 Accord?
  5. It’s not lazy or laughable; it’s just a proven fact. Fugitives and those with warrants are arrested on “routine†traffic stops. Drugs are most vulnerable to detection when being transported in a vehicle. Burglars in your neighborhood are detected and arrested using traffic stops. I agree with that. Police Traffic and District Patrol vehicles should be marked and highly visible. I use to sit out in the wide open with my radar set at 20 over and get better stops (Warrants, DUI) than the guys hiding and setting their radar at 12 over. Plain cars and traffic cameras go against everything that is taught in traffic enforcement. They are purely revenue generators that serve no safety purpose to the public. You need to keep that in mind when electing your officials that condone their use. Now having said that I don’t have a problem with their use. I’m a property owner and I know the government is going to get X amount of taxes. The more jobs we lose the higher that amount is going to go. I’d rather they get it from people that can’t drive than raise my property taxes. Now as far as flashing lights…. I don’t do it because I have been the one sitting behind that radar gun and I know that I don’t want a cop’s attention for any reason. Do whatever you are ready to take responsibility for.
  6. I saw the instructions but they were in Japanese.
  7. If that’s a legitimate ad, I’m sure that was gone within minutes of posting it; that is an extremely good buy. I hope someone got it that truly wanted it instead of someone that will just post it back up at $2K. But a lot of those “too good to be true†ads on there are to harvest email information and phone numbers.
  8. Guns, liquor and cigarettes. Three things you don’t ever have to worry about being forced to allow on private property or in a private business.
  9. Wonder if there will be people trying to top that?
  10. I do. But I’ve also had people offer up their family members when I arrested them on minor charges. Whoever was with the shooter has one free pass; and I would bet he knows it.
  11. Gangs (first and foremost), school shootings, open disregard for the law, lower morals, collapse of the family unit, entitlement attitude, no respect for others? There were guns in the back windows of trucks when I was a kid. How long would they last today even if it wasn’t illegal? A rifle in the back window of a pickup truck today probably wouldn’t last one day, and in most mall parking lots it wouldn’t last 10 minutes, and has nothing to do with guns laws. I don’t openly display my gun. One of the many reasons is that if a gang decides to take it, there won’t be much you can do to stop them; I don’t care who you are or how many training classes you have been to.
  12. Springfield doesn’t have a dog to bring to this fight; they are just an importer. In this economy I would think everyone would be pushing for weapons that would mean jobs here. Our government doesn’t need to be buying foreign handguns.
  13. Open carrying a gun around a school while kids are going to school is ignorant. The school did what they are expected to do; the Police did what they are required to do. Police investigated and determined that he was not a threat. He was not arrested. Short of not responding to a man with a gun call (that should never happen) I don’t know what else could have been done.
  14. If they don’t have any good witness info, what’s more likely to happen is one of the thugs in the truck will get arrested on a minor drug charge, and to save his azz he will roll on his buddy, that shot the kid, for a walk. If that happens the case will probably never make it to a jury.
  15. You would probably be surprised at how many traffic laws you violate on a daily basis that is state laws. When I see these types of questions involving the police “finding†stuff my first question would be; how did we get from you speeding on the interstate to the Police having you out of your car searching you. That is usually the answer to why people are being arrested on this type stuff. This knife law could be one of those old laws that are still on the books but not enforced anymore.
  16. I doubt he will have any money left after he goes through criminal court and does his prison time.
  17. Yes, but anything could have happened in the last four years. With all the background checks BS in the media all the time I doubt guns will be sold without a background check anytime soon. They probably will become even more invasive. Plus its $10 a pop for the state.
  18. Unless there is a federal safe passage law on knives, its possible; not probable, but possible. There is specific Federal Safe Passage law on firearms, but it doesn’t mention knives. I guess it’s like with guns or anything else…. You better know the law. Maybe we need to have a sign with a little baby knife at all Clarksville exits. You know, like they do with the .08% and helmet signs.
  19. Don’t leave it in your car. I left my Kydex holster in my car yesterday and it melted.
  20. Or simply say we aren’t agreeing to those rules anymore. People get shot in wars, it hurts and they die. There is nothing humane about prolonging the agony. If you don’t want to get shot; don’t participate in wars. Combat should be as brutal and inhumane as possible.
  21. Because being family of the President of the United States and being deported to Africa would be a death sentence. We are a humane people, and I don’t have a problem with that. I just don’t think he will have to answer for his crimes, and I would bet he ends up on the government dole, and that isn’t right. If Obama wants him here; he should take responsible for his support. Besides, if we are talking the legalities, I think the President has the authority to give asylum to whoever he wants.
  22. If I’m going out to listen to music or go to a Sushi bar; I’m drinking. So I’m not armed and I don’t have to watch for signs. All you guys that don’t drink keep an eye out for the rest of us.
  23. The gun will be picked on politics; not on quality. But I would bet the round will be one of these three in this order. .40S&W .45ACP .357SIG .45ACP is what they need, but some don’t want to use it just because it’s been around forever. (It would also make there screw up in getting rid of it obvious.) So I think the .40S&W has a good chance. .357SIG will make a showing, but it’s too high velocity, won’t expel all its energy in the body. Plus they already have stuff to shoot through car doors.
  24. They should have gotten rid of that worthless 9mm round years ago; and the .223 should go next. Obviously I’d like to see an American company get the contract, (Smith & Wesson M&P) but it will probably go to low bidder. They are talking about buying production guns, but they aren’t going to buy “Off the shelfâ€; no one has shelves that big. Whatever gun they pick will be in short supply for the civilian market. I’d be curious to see what a Beretta insider has to say about it. The military using the M9 didn’t really help Beretta get the civilian market. I wonder if it was worth all the work and drama of dealing with the military. I'd hate to see it do damage to Smith & Wesson. Yes, according to another article something more powerful is part of the requirement. The M&P’s are great guns; they have been knocking down Glock steadily in the Law Enforcement community. Politics will be at play here though; Obama might want to send more our money overseas.
  25. I wouldn’t want to live in Chicago, but I love to go there to party; great city. I got my HCP after almost getting car jacked in Memphis. I’ve travelled all over the country, Memphis and Detroit are the two places I can think of right off the top of my head I wouldn’t want to be without a gun.
