I don’t shoot 9mm, but I have never been able to beat Wal-Mart’s price (Even buying 1K with a C&R discount.) on WWB and its not bad range ammo.
-
Does the state charge the dealer by the gun, or do they let them submit multiples for the same charge?
-
I have looked at it every way from Sunday and I don’t see any cost savings over Wal-Mart range ammo. You have to do it because you want/need another hobby or you want to experiment with loads. Now if you are buying high dollar factory target or hunting rounds that may be a different story. So I doubt you would save much/any money even if you found someone to reload for you.

I haven’t used it yet, is "+you" Google’s answer to Facebook?

Thick clothing is an issue with .380 and frangible rounds like the Glaser Safety slug. You won’t have any problem with a .40 cal ranger unless the winter clothing is a ballistic vest.

Well let’s put this to rest right now. Post up the exact model number and price of the gun and we will compare.
-
All models don’t. Mine came with a threaded barrel, but it’s not a Performance Center model.

Handgun shooting is done off hand. Shooting a pistol locked in a rest is a test of the gun; not the shooter. Shooting a 1 ½” group off hand at 25 yards is not impossible, but I doubt you will meet many people that can do it without a scoped handgun. I would bet there is no one here that can shoot anywhere close to a 1 ½” group at 50 or 100 yards off hand with any handgun and any custom ammo without a scope. Most I see at the range have trouble shooting that kind of group at 100 yards with a scoped rifle. If you can put 25 rounds in the center 10 of a B-27 silhouette (6X4 oval) at 25 yards off hand you are an excellent shooter. If you can do it at 50 yards you are a competition shooter.

And that’s the bottom line.

As I said before, I don’t think this was ever about recording; this was about obstructing (Obstructing government administration, or Obstructing Police). And it certainly isn’t about rights or the Constitution. Cops are taught that if you lose control of a traffic stop, family fight, etc.; it could get you killed. These are judgment calls…. Period. And they always will be. If you don’t like what the Officer is telling you, most departments have a complaint process in place. But that argument won’t be made on the street. Who was the guy they had in handcuffs? What were they arresting him for? What was his criminal history? Did he live close by? Did the woman causing the problem know him? How many other people were in the car? You can hear the Police Officer say “I’m going to ask you one more time, we don’t feel safe with you stranding right behind us while we are doing a traffic stop, go back in the houseâ€. Having done many traffic stops I don’t think that was an unreasonable request; do you? Situational awareness, it is preached about here all they time. That is what the Officers were doing. When I went through the Police Academy we had training on doing traffic stops. The instructors used actors from the College acting classes to play the parts of the citizens being stopped. There were scenarios just like this, where a third party would interfere long enough to give the suspect a chance to kill you. You just can’t lose focus; it can kill you. This woman put everyone in danger. The ticketing incident later I think was wrong. And I think it was one of the reasons for not pursuing charges, and I think it was what the chief was addressing. I doubt any Officer was reprimanded for arresting this woman, and I would be willing to bet money if she does it again she will be arrested again.

I don't see anyone here labeling you a terrorist sympathizer. I just think you are wrong. I don’t think the president did this without checking with not only the AG, but his own legal counsel. I’m sure there is plenty written into the law that we don’t have access to. The argument about extending the Constitution to a terrorist combatant operating in another county is certainly an argument; it won’t go anywhere (IMO) but it’s certainly a cause someone can take up if they see fit. Sounds like a good case for the ACLU.

Is the Kershaw Chive legally a Switchbalde in TN?
DaveTN replied to D3vo's topic in Knives, Lights, EDC Gear
Is there an AG opinion or case law on this? Whether or not it is a switchblade is determined in this order, the responding Officers, the DA, a Judge or jury. There is a thread on Bladeforums about a guy arrested in Illinois after open carrying a Kershaw Chive into a casino. I haven’t read both states laws myself, but from what is posted Illinois law reads the same as Tennessee’s on switchblades. His charges were eventually dropped but he was arrested, handcuffed, and transported to the jail for booking (according to the story). I carry an assisted opening Gerber, but I don’t advertise my carry, and the chances of me being stopped and searched are pretty slim. I don’t know if I’m allowed to post links to other forums, so if you want to read it, go to bladeforums and search “Kershaw Chive under attack in Illinoisâ€. -
Call this guy; he’ll get you straightened out. Memphis, Nashville

Firearm discharge on public road
DaveTN replied to Knox Al's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
I’m a dog owner and dog lover, if I was riding and a dog tried to attack me I would drop him dead if he got within striking distance. I could only hope the owner was around so I would know who to sue. Of course most of those that would let a dog run loose don’t have anything to get in a lawsuit. It’s a shame that so many dogs are killed because of low life owners that either think they are above the law or just don’t care. A dog would give his life to protect his owner; the least you can do is protect him from needlessly being killed. -
It sounds to me like they had him in sight and opened the door to attempt to talk to him. He charged, and got shot. We also don’t know if he was a threat to anyone inside. (Not that I think that matters in this case.) The Officer had about 2 seconds to act. Everyone seems to be in agreement that he was threatening people with a deadly weapon and was warned to put it down. SOP? You don’t call SWAT or let an armed suspect take control of the situation if you don’t have to.
-
When he started “clickingâ€, without looking up you should have said “we see youâ€. That’s all he really wanted.

You had 30 speeding tickets and a DUI. I assume you got some of them dropped or dismissed or you wouldn’t have a driver’s license. The cops still had the authority to arrest you. The DA decided not to prosecute and the Chief went out and glad handed with some reporters. But I bet if she does that again…. She gets arrested again.
-
Does that surprise you? You are a radical that openly posts anti-govemnet rhetoric. Many here have shown that they would be ripe targets (especially the young) for a terrorist or anti-government militia group. They don’t understand the laws or the Constitution, but if someone can convince them they are defending the Constitution; they can justify (in their own minds) being criminals.
-
You can make outrageous statements about anything; that doesn’t make them true or even have a hint of being based in reality. Your statements are no more reasonable than the gun haters making their outrageous claims. How you get from killing a terrorist that is a creditable on-going threat to killing gun owners is beyond me. I also don’t see how you are making any kind of logical connection to Wako, unless you are just generally complaining about any government action. If you think the military did something illegal; that can be addressed. I’m sure that in the millions of pages of legal code, there is authorization for what happened. If you want to make a Constitutional law argument; you would be wrong. If you want to argue what our founding father intended; you would be wrong there also. They would have ask him to surrender and we he refused they would have killed him. You have made many statements about how you would kill anyone that presented a threat to you or your family. So why all the hand wringing now? Do you need to talk to the some of the family members of Americans this terrorist has killed? All these terrorists know there is a standing order to kill them. If they want a trial in court they can surrender. I support our government’s actions in killing these terrorists. Nothing about war should be fair or just. It should be brutal bloodbath with extreme prejudice that will make anyone think twice before entering into war before exhausting all other possibilities.

Haven’t heard of that; How’s it help? I’m always Leary of giving my phone number on gun ads until I'm sure its legit, because of the people mining phone numbers. Then you start getting all kinds of sales people calling. If someone threatened to rape and kill my wife; they would be arrested.
-
Here is what the law says about it if you do not have a permit. The definition of “close proximity to both the weapon and any person†is initially up to the Officer, then the DA, then the Judge or jury. Get your permit and you can carry the rifle loaded, as long as a round is not chambered.

Whoever was flying that drone.

Peoria cops would bust a cap in his azz in a heartbeat…. Just ask Richard Pryor.
-
Exactly. And his escape would have led to more deaths. We would have killed Hitler if he had been born here. Being born here isn’t a free pass when you are killing people. Cops kill murders without a trial in our streets all the time; the military does that job overseas. Thankfully our government doesn’t ban the military from killing fleeing forcible felons the way some states do.

I have a feeling facts aren't going matter here.
