I wondered about Nissan and the proposed parking lot bills. I wonder if their foreign Trade Zone status will come into play.

If the deal even happens these guns will be pushing a grand by the time the reach the end user. AIM has already proven they can sell them for $925. I need to make a trip to Anniston before this happens.

It’s hard to believe, but Buds has the highest price I’ve seen yet. They are $449 plus 3% if you pay with a credit card like most people will; that’s $462.47. They put them up yesterday for VIP members only. The VIP is supposed to run for 72 hours, but they took it off today. So either they weren’t moving; or they have a lot of them. Still nothing but silence on the 40. I’ll probably pay the introductory price to get one of those.

Zimmeran's brother gives his side of the story

Zimmerman doesn’t have any money for them or their attorneys to get. They are going to have to find some way to sue the city, the Police Department, the housing complex, the state, the States Attorney’s Officer, a gun manufacturer, someone, anyone that has some money. My kids dead and I want a Payday!! I say only two people could be responsible for your son’s death; your son or Zimmerman….sue away. -

Really Robert, have we really reduced this down to personal attacks? I don’t think anyone that is following this thread has any doubt who is discussing the issues and who is simply attacking me because my views are not in line with theirs. If we have reduced it down to personal attacks, okay….You are being childish and immature because my views don’t align with yours. You are pathetic. -
Man, I wish I was confident enough to be in a hurry for November to get here.

The race baiters don’t have anyone to sue, blame, or pay the bills if they can’t drag whitey into this. Hence…. White/Hispanic. -

Do they still use tape? I would think these would be digital audio files. -
I’m more accurate with my 1911’s than my Tupperware guns. And I’m more accurate with my revolvers than my 1911’s. Your 1911 is probably returning to the same sight/barrel position better than your Tupperware guns. I shoot a revolver more accurately than either; the sights don’t move from the barrel. It could also be trigger pull. I shot in revolver competitions and went through three 6†Colt Pythons. Out of frustration at one match I pulled out my 4†Smith & Wesson duty gun and outshot the Python. I really wanted to keep the Python. Was the S&W a better gun? In my hands it was. I just couldn’t get use to the longer trigger pull of the Python. I didn’t have enough money back then to keep those Pythons and my Smiths. They would sure be worth a bunch today.

That could be true of anything. George Zimmerman does not dispute he shot an unarmed 17 year old kid, and he has had creditable death threats. How much pressure do you think is on him? Zimmerman yelling for help has been the cornerstone of those arguing he was justified in killing the kid. What if it wasn’t him? Do you want to just throw it out or have a jury decide? -

No slam dunk, but if they can prove Trayvon was yelling for help that means Zimmerman’s credibility is gone. I haven’t heard anyone ID Zimmerman. I may be wrong but all I have heard is them identify clothing color. That’s not a good ID. -
Just a curious poll. I understand that you can’t decide if he is guilty or innocent based on what is in the media. I’m not asking that. I’m not asking if you support or don’t support any stand your ground controversy, or what the laws are in Florida. I am asking that if this happened in your neighborhood here in Tennessee, looking at what you feel comfortable with what facts you think you know, coupled with what you don’t know… would you want to see George Zimmerman walk, or stand trial?

Voice experts say 911 tape supports Trayvon Martin The voice crying for help in the background of a 911 call moments before the fatal shooting of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin was not that of shooter George Zimmerman, experts in voice identification tell the Orland Sentinel. Tom Owen, forensic consultant for Owen Forensic Services, used voice identification software to rule out Zimmerman, the Sentinel says. Another expert utilizing different techniques came to the same conclusion, the Sentinel reports/ http://content.usato...rayvon-martin/1 The Sentinel said that Ed Primeau, a Michigan-based audio engineer and forensics expert, used audio enhancement and human analysis and came to the same conclusion. "I believe that's Trayvon Martin in the background, without a doubt," Primeau told the newspaper. "That's a young man screaming." http://usnews.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2012/04/01/10963191-trayvon-martin-case-audio-screams-were-not-george-zimmermans-2-experts-say -

Robert, if you want to paint me as being driven by fear, that’s fine. I am driven by intelligence, common sense and a desire for justice. I fear no man. And I have no fear that I will make a foolish mistake that puts me in the situation that Zimmerman was in. I think fear is why you so desperately want to see Zimmerman not prosecuted. I think you want to believe that you can take your gun out and kill anymore that scares you. You live in the wrong state for that. This isn’t about duty to retreat and it isn’t about race. This is about a little man that believed carrying a gun made all things equal. I am not naive; I know very well that we have a legal system and not a justice system. But I hold out a little bit of hope that because of the spotlight that has been put on this case our system will do what’s right. I very well may be disappointed. -

Check in here: http://forums.thecmp.org/ I don’t shoot commercial ammo in mine. I have been through a bunch of the HXP without any problems. I’m hanging onto my Lake City.

Zimmeran's brother gives his side of the story
DaveTN replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
You have struggled so hard to defend that a person has no duty to retreat under any conditions and with no qualifiers. But now you want say that Treyvon had a duty to retreat because he was younger and in better shape? You defend “No duty to retreat†and then you utter the very phrase that caused those laws…. “If he really wanted to get away..â€. So now we are defending “Stand Your Ground†with “He should have ran!†(There has to be a great T-Shirt slogan in there somewhere) Absolutely he is innocent until proven guilty. My thoughts on whether he is guilty or not mean nothing. I just don’t believe you can justify going from fists to a gun in a situation you created. Have you read the reports this weekend on how many states are rethinking their “Stand Your Ground†laws based on the ridiculous theory of self-defense in this case? -
I got to handle it at the Murfreesboro gun show. I like Kimbers, but wasn’t impressed with the solo at the price range it was in. I already had an M&P40C and was looking for something smaller. I went with the Kahr MK40. It’s smaller than the solo but because it’s all stainless it weighs more.

Erik, Zimmerman was following Martin and when he thought Martin was trying to get away he got out of his truck and chased him. Is there any part of that statement you do not agree with or think is false? -
Thanks for that information Lester. I wondered if a lower cost telescope could be used vs. a high dollar spotting scope. But I didn’t know if a telescope could focus at such short distances.
