  1. When I moved here I emailed a bunch of local realtors that I wanted something to rent for the first year, possibly with the option to buy. Or, I would rent for the first year until I found something to buy. When I started talking about renting most of the realtors backed out and told me to contact them when I was ready to buy. My house was still for sale. One realtor said “Okay, let’s do thatâ€. We had several phone conversations about what we wanted. When we arrived and met him he had several properties for us to look at. He put us in the house we are in now as a rental and we bought it a year later. He was a great realtor and on the ball. Blast out some emails before you go and maybe you will get as lucky as I was.
  2. The K-frame handles the magnum loads fine; just use the proper bullet. Use 158 grain when shooting magnums and you will be fine. Don’t use 115-125. That’s the short version. There are years and years of information and articles that have been written on this. You can check them out for all the details.
  3. I apologize man no hate intended. Hence the… I was just wondering if anyone was hurt when “GOP Congressman's Sister's Home gets SWATTEDâ€, only to look at the news and see that is not what happened at all. Just good Police work, a bunch of drug rats taken down in a standoff with Police, one of whom happened to be the sister of a Congressman. Just having some fun man, we appreciate you keeping us informed; keep up the good work.
  4. I haven’t seen anything that said he died.
  5. So what do you think?
  6. I don’t think anyone ever has to worry about that.
  7. You are blasting out several news links a day on the forum on controversial issues. You can’t have status as a “Forum Expert†on controversy if we have to double check your work.
  8. Dear Rep. West, I like your idea, but I don’t buy foreign made guns and haven’t owned a 9mm in 20 years. So, when you pass this new law would it be okay if I have an American made .40 cal? Thanks, DaveTN
  9. Nevermind…. Here is the link. This wasn’t a “Swattingâ€. http://www.dailymail...o=feeds-newsxml
  10. You have a lot of links there and no information. I apologize if I’m just missing it. I know what swatting is but what happened? Was someone hurt?
  11. It’s happened to many skilled trades, the construction industry, and the IT industry. Foreign Doctors can be hired cheaper. We want cheap, and we are going to get it. Luckily when I went in for my surgery I had one of the best, instead of low bidder.
  12. The TSA needs to be disbanded. I think if you ask anyone they are the most unprofessional organization the Feds have every come up with. They are just another “government jobs†program that has run amuck. Many of the people I have heard about could not have passed the testing or background checks to become a Police Officer. It bothered me that the THP worked with these clowns on Tennessee highways and bus stations and allowed them to conduct operations they had no legal authority to do. The THP should have to answer for that. We have a thread going on right now where a Judge (and some people here) think that there was no cause to search a convicted felon that was drunk and in possession of a handgun even when there was a witness that pointed out the on-going felony act. But yet the TSA can search innocent people because they need to get on an airplane. Where is the common sense? I think a fix would be to disband the TSA and cycle Metro cops and THP Officers through the airport as part of their duties. I hope Rep. Blackburn get her bill though. Unfortunately this is going to be a State vs. the Feds issue and I doubt any legislation will have any more teeth than the Tennessee Firearms Freedom Act. But I sure did hate to sit thought that nut case Alex Jones rants to get to hear what she had to say.
  13. The guy is lucky he wasn’t killed. At least this technology shows what happened. Of course the guy in the car will probably be whining about cameras and trying to find a lawyer that can get it ruled inadmissible in court.
  14. Technology is a wonderful thing. The only part of the story that I do not understand is why the Police are releasing no information about the suspects.
  15. I have both. The 686 4†is my nightstand gun; I carried one as a cop for years and used it in Police Pistol Competitions. It’s the most accurate handgun I have ever shot. For me, it was more accurate than the 6†version and three 6†Colt Pythons I tried. I also own 66 2.5â€. It’s a very good carry gun, but doesn’t get much use because I have better options now. But it carries well. The 66 in 2.5†is very desirable and becoming harder to get all the time. The 686 4†is a work horse. Get both. I enjoy shooting both of these guns so much that I bought the 617 in .22 to be able to afford more trigger time.
  16. It’s amazing. They tout all this BS about improving background checks and they give a Class 1 FFL to a person that can’t legally carry a firearm in their own state because they say he poses a risk to the public. I can’t believe that this was not uncovered during a background check.
  17. Don’t underestimate his research abilities he knows the law. What he lacks is an understanding of the application of the law. That’s why he lost his HCP. After a Tennessee court ruled he “poses a material likelihood of risk to the public†and suspended his HCP; the Feds gave him an FFL.
  18. That isn’t him and he hasn’t moved from Tennessee. After the state suspended his HCP saying he “poses a material likelihood of risk to the public†the Feds gave him an FFL. I’m not going to post it here, but if you search Google it won’t take much to find his website.
  19. Gary Johnson wants to open our borders and legalize drugs to further destroy our country. Since he has no chance of winning, when he decides he needs a job, he would fit right in with the Obama administration.
  20. Thanks for your comments Lester, If Law Enforcement didn’t do anything and wasn’t doing anything now, don’t you think the whole country would be like South Florida in the 80’s? We don’t need to do an experiment; all we have to do is look at history.
  21. Really? How many illegal Mexicans cross the border each day, and how many tons of Cocaine and pot cross? Tell Issa and the Mexican President to go pound sand.
  22. Dennis, that’s terrible. But I’m glad your daughter wasn’t hurt; the girls were very lucky. From your daughters description of the events it wouldn’t have helped her to have a gun and could have gotten her killed if she had tried to pull one. It’s easy to blame where she lives, but we have the same thing right here in Tennessee; every day. The problem is (besides drugs and criminals) that it’s crazy for anywhere that keeps $100K of cash on hand to not have security; no wonder they have been hit multiple times. The girls are lucky the manager had the ability to open the safe, hard telling what would have happened if they had been in a place that didn’t give them that access. I hope your daughter finds a safer place to work.

    Yep, .65"
  24. That’s too bad. I wonder if CC has video cameras?
  25. Greg, No one is blaming you. If you need Sudafed you may be inconvenienced, I don’t know. I don’t know how hard is for you to get. Every Police Agency will handle it in their own way based on the resources they have available. I doubt you will care much for my ideas because they involve targeting drug dealers and makers with extreme prejudice. I don’t think people should be arrested based on how many times their name is on that list; that list should be used to identify offenders. As I said earlier, once a drug dealer is identified (as with any crime) it just requires good Police work to catch them with the product in their possession so you can send them to prison. The vehicle code is the #1 tool in that fight. I took them down on traffic stops, legally searched their cars, and took them jail. Some departments don’t have the manpower to do that, some departments are so busy they go from one call to next and don’t have the opportunity to do that. However, if you could make any drug disappear tomorrow, would the users quit? No, they would switch their drug of choice. If the new drug cots more what happens? Well, then they need to steal more of your stuff, burglarizes more homes or commit more robberies. Some say make drugs legal. That’s fine, are you going to make them free also? They are committing the crimes to get money to buy the drugs. Unless you are making them free, the only thing legalizing drugs does is to create a new industry and adds to the tax base. What good has that done for the user? Now you have added in a bunch of middlemen and FDA rules and regulations. The user will be paying as much or more and he will still be going to jail when he gets caught with the stuff he stole from you to buy his now legal drugs. So who really wants drugs legalized? The guy that has a good job and wants to smoke a bowl every now and then without having to worry about being arrested or lose his good job. He’s hasn’t stop to think that he might not get arrested but he will still lose his job when he can’t pass a piss test. Proactive Police work will help the problem, but the real culprit is still the economy.
