  1. I’ve been on Nutrisystem since before this started. So, most of my food shows up in two boxes at my door, one dry, one frozen. I haven’t had to shoot anyone, so my ammo supply is good. I’ve been blessed enough to have plenty of money in my bank account. But that doesn’t mean I haven’t been sick seeing what is happening to my IRA. That’s where most of my money is and like many, I’ve lost a lot. PPE. I have a box of rubber gloves, but they are old and ripping when I try to use them. I will replace those and get some masks after the demand dies down. With bad actors both within our county and abroad seeing what this has done to our county; I suspect it will happen again. I remember what it was like to live paycheck to paycheck trying to raise a family. That is why I support what our government is doing for workers. This must be pretty scary for those that have had their income shutoff. I hope they all come out on the other side of this okay.
  2. After those clowns wrote that non-sense they wrote "Prepare yourselves to stay calm."
  3. "It suggested he may not be mentally well." Is that code for “He was a terrorist, but we don’t want to call him a terrorist, or call this a hate crime just because he killed three innocent women and seriously injured a fourth.”?

    PayPal Fees

I always assumed that payment method, BOS requirements, etc., was made clear either in the ad or before a meet. If it applies to a firearms sale, you might also want to consider that PayPal doesn’t allow members to buy or sell Firearms, Firearms parts, or ammunition. Although it’s done all the time, if you get hosed; you may not have any recourse.
  5. No license needed, and obviously no testing.
  6. It used to be a bunch of old men that don’t have anything to do, sitting around BSing all day. Today they call them gun forums.
  7. Sure, but President Trump wasn't around to tell you to take some hydroxychloroquine with a Z pak on the side, shake it off and get back to work.
  8. I have only used moon clips from TK Customs. They are a quality product. I don’t see any listing for the Speed Six, but I think those for the Security Six would be the same. You would need to verify that though. https://tkcustom.com/products/ruger-security-6-9mm-032-ss You will probably also want a loading tool.
  9. Sure they will; it could kill you. You’ve heard the saying “That which does not kill us, makes us stronger.” They were talking about flu shots.
  10. Good for you! Welcome to the forum. I would suggest you get an Enhanced Handgun Carry Permit if you can swing it, instead of a conceal carry permit. More training, less hassle carrying, possibly more reciprocity with other states. A shotgun requires more training than a handgun for home protection. Specifically, a plan to “clear” your house should you ever need to do that with a shotgun. Walking around your house with a shotgun looking for someone is a bad idea, in general.
  11. I didn't know there was ever any doubt.
  12. I agree, I suspect it might be waived for those that are willing to acknowledge the risks. But even as powerful as Trump is; he can’t shortcut time. I doubt anything will have FDA approval for over a year. But we just never know what can happen, when massive amounts of money is being thrown at a problem.
  13. Has your work status changed since the Virus started? Names won't be public, you can post in your answer if you want to. I am retired from my full time job, and working part time as self employed from home. I don’t have any work now, and I don’t know if it will return or not.
  14. Ya know, until this virus came about I had no idea you could take someone off the street, that wasn’t in the military, dress them up in a Navy Admirals uniform and call them the Surgeon General. Who knew?? That made me wonder what the heck those ribbons were for. So I learned something else I didn’t know. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Awards_and_decorations_of_the_Public_Health_Service
  15. No, it doesn’t take 12-18 months to develop one. It takes that long after its developed to make sure it won’t kill you. There are several in trials right now. Yes, I would take one in testing. But only if it was one that had been given to people and they didn’t die in the first two weeks. (I'm a little bit of a candy azz, but not a full blown candy azz.) And I definitely will take one when there is one that is safe. Our economy won’t recover until there is either a vaccine or a cure available to everyone.
  16. Good for you! I gave up on it years ago when you had to do code to progress. I guess they have done away with that??
  17. This can't be good.
  18. Yep. Workers need to be protected; especially those working in food processing that we absolutely need while everyone figures out what’s next. But that can’t happen because they say the medical workers need them. Someone made a remark on here (I think) one day about Illinois Governor’s all being put in prison. Someone countered with at least they put them in prison; unlike Tennessee.
  19. Phones aren’t “real” computers for using the net, probably an Apple phone at that. Aren’t you at home? Get on a real PC with a OS by Uncle Bill.
  20. Well dang man....strike timing sure sucked.
  21. Two of my very good friends were married to nurses. When they lost their jobs (at different times), their wives told them; “Go wherever you want; I can work anywhere” But yeah, as far as your son goes, it looks like Bernie is out of the picture.
  22. I worked with an Engineer that said his friends that graduated MTSU with him that had an Engineering degree started in jobs at $80 to $100K a year. I told him, either your friends are lying to you or they don’t work anywhere close to this area. You would think college age students would have a better grasp on reality and jobs where they want to live.
  23. Good post, I’ll add that a person’s perspective is formed by the industry they are in. This area and Huntsville are big in aerospace production, automotive, and large stamping. I most recently worked in a company that specialized in large 5 axis machining for airplane manufacturers. There was no work from home jobs really. Sure, in a perfect world, programmers could possibly do their jobs from home, but this isn’t a perfect world, and when parts are created with their programs that don’t pass quality; they often need to inspect the set-up on the shop floor and interface with the operators and set-up people to see what’s wrong, and how to fix it. In machining, working from home is not the answer. Everyone wants a job at a desk. So, they go to College and get a degree. Then they find out their jobs are a dime a dozen and those guys on the shop floor that can both run and program a CNC machine making aircraft, automotive, medical, or gun parts; makes more than them, without a degree. Our company could hire CAD operators and Engineers all day long at low wages for entry level positions but trying to hire machinists is much harder. Kids need to know that everyone isn’t cut out for college. And they don’t need to be saddled with a bunch of student debt for a degree that they don’t need to make very good money. Machinists, Toolmakers, Mold Makers, Electricians, Welders, Electronics techs and repair Techs (along with many others) are all jobs where you can make very good money and don’t need a degree to do it. Problem is, you don’t make that kind of money to start, you have to prove yourself, everyone is not treated equal, and you must be willing to move to where the work is that will bring the kind of money you want.
  24. It’s my understanding they already have a vaccine in testing, possibly more than one. I’m not sure why the testing procedure is a year, but it appears that is what it is and that can’t be rushed. Because of the possibility of killing the patient months after the vaccination I would guess?? But it's going to take having that vaccine before things get back to "normal".
