Best place to order bulk .45 acp ammo??
DaveTN replied to Newman's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
Has anyone tried this place yet? Prices look to be about the same as Wal-Mart on FMJ, but they have JHP for not much more. I didn’t check shipping costs. They have both remanufactured and their own brand of new. http://www.freedommunitions.com/ -
That’s good news. I can tell you that having someone close to you when you are going through something like that is very important. I have told my wife many times that it would have been much worse for me if she had not been there.

I would say Etiquette is that you don’t pick up brass in the area of a shooter whether you violate the firing line or not. I Police my brass and shouldn’t need to keep an eye on it. Either ask the shooter or wait until they leave. Besides that, at a good range they won’t tolerate anyone distracting a shooter.

The Sigma was the gun Glock sued them over and that was 18 years ago. It was a nuisance case by Glock and was settled out of court. As anyone that has shot an M&P can tell you; it’s no Sigma or Glock. As a matter of fact I’m guessing that right now Glock is wishing they had left S&W alone about the Sigma.

Or .40 in a .45?

Now maybe we will see a J-frame in .40S&W.

Fake Military Documents, Weapons Found in Abandoned Pickup

Because no info has been given out. DHS isn’t real big on making a case in the public media. -
Question about DUI Conviction and HCP
DaveTN replied to pegasusrider's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Is the “problem†his drinking? If the concern is him drinking and carrying, call the law when he is doing it. Drunks with guns don’t the protections drunks driving cars do. Maybe he learned his lesson on his first DUI and deserves to be left alone. Since you are saying this is a neighborhood “problem†I have to assume you see him drunk. Call the cops when he’s driving drunk and that will also take care of the problem of the HCP. -
You know they won’t let you have your AR in Boot Camp don’t you?

Supreme Court Sneak Peek: You Own It, But Can You Sell It?
DaveTN replied to greenego's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
All my handguns were made here. I guess It will be okay if I decided to sell them. This case isn’t going to impact us selling our used stuff. -
This guy as done a bunch of videos on the 597, might want to check them out.

.380 is a terrible self defense round, and it costs too much. The only reason to own one would be a sub compact.

Go with the M&P and don’t look back. It’s proven itself; it’s taking over the LEO market which the civilian market will follow. No, it’s not a sigma. All companies, at least the ones that are over 150 years old and have more models than we can count, have made some mistakes. Sigma was one of S&W’s. It’s made by an American Company in America by Americans. So sell off all your foreign made Glocks and replace them with American made.

Firearms confiscation. How would it go down?
DaveTN replied to timcar86's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
It’s easy to say on a gun forum that its “already startedâ€, or that “gun control is comingâ€. But the facts show a different trend. More states are making it easier to carry. The worse the economy gets the more violent crime we are going to have. As more and more violent attacks occur, and they will, most states are not going to try to fix the problem by taking guns away from its citizens; they are going to recognize a need to be able to defend themselves. States are going to have the final say on guns; not the Feds. The 2nd amendment fight is over as far as ownership and carry goes; this is now a States Rights issue. Sure, just like the civil war some will give it lip service the rest of their life, but it’s been decided; you have a constitutional right to own a gun, and it is a right of the state to decide when and where you can carry it. Sure, the Feds are going to try to outlaw some guns. Will they get AR’s outlawed to the point of where you have to turn them in? Doubtful. Will they get restrictions like the AWB on them? They will try. Will they get high capacity magazines outlawed? Probably. I’m not giving up any of my guns, and I have no fears that anyone is going to be knocking on (or kicking in ) my door to take them. Good grief…. Those of you that need a fight to fight don’t need to make up stories of things that are not going to happen. Your economy is collapsing around you. Your children and Grand Children are going to think you are idiots for selling out their future. Take on that battle; it’s one you can win, and it’s real. Instead of trying to figure out how you can run off and hide; stand up and fight. -
I had a Redhead (Bass Pro) 3-9X40 that was on a tack driver Remington 597; I think it was $39 or $49.

Long story short.. A guy punched me in the face on a traffic stop while I was having him sign the ticket. I dropped him with one blow from a Mag-lite and he ended up in intensive care. He was out on bond on a burglary charge that had nothing to do with my stop. His attorney was in negotiations with the DA to keep him out of jail on the burglary charge (mandatory prison time upon conviction) and decided it would help his case if he filed against me on a brutality complaint. All that did was stop the negotiations on the burglary charge and now also had him charged with aggravated battery on a Police Officer. He negotiated his prison sentence, dropped the suit and off to prison he went. No, cops don't have qualified immunity on brutality complaints, so that had nothing to do with it.

I’ve maced many people and all I can say is that I’ve seen big tough guys fall down and cry and I’ve seen guys that acted like we were spraying water on them. Have a backup plan that you can deploy fast. If someone is attacking me in an unprovoked attack, I’ll use the threat of deadly force and then deadly force if necessary. I’ve carried mace for dogs. I have absolutely no experience with the Kimber stuff or anything that’s available to the public.

They do. But apparently he needs to bump his numbers up some more. -

It’s certainly something he would try. He can recruit for his National Police Force from the growing pool of unemployed. That would help him with his “job creation†numbers. I would say that we would be better off paying them unemployment benefits to stay at home than giving them badges and a gun. -
If for some reason I was forced to bet I would have to bet that Obama wins. I believe that gun control, abortion, the wars, crime, the government, the picking of Supreme Court justices, etc., has zero impact on this election and this the winner will be picked on the economy and who people perceive will do the most for them personally. The poor, the underemployed, and the out of work are going to vote for government benefits and free health care. The illegals are going to impact that and I would guess many of them are even registered to vote. Most of those people are going to vote, and most will vote for Obama. The rest of the people are split deciding on the issues, won’t vote, or will throw their vote away on someone that has no chance of winning. A very strong Republican that had a plan to put us back on track and put Americans back to work would have had a chance, he may have caused those people sitting on the sidelines to get out and vote. Romney is not that man. All we can hope for now is that they will go vote to make sure Obama isn’t elected again. There is a chance they will; but it’s a slim chance.

Its no differ than ours is now with our “with a view to prevent crime.†You have the right or you don’t. Remove the part I put in bold and you have the right; anything else and you don’t have the right. If we are going to copy a state lets copy one of the four that recognizes the right. Louisiana isn’t one of them and they still won’t be if they pass that.

Well no doubt Romney is going to win by a landslide on a gun forum. EDIT: Sorry, I didn’t read the instructions. I hope Romney will win, but I’m not betting any money on it.

Firearms confiscation. How would it go down?
DaveTN replied to timcar86's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Oh, well that’s a whole other story. That’s an occupation; the same thing would happen to them as any other occupying force. -
They are carry guns so I don’t want to mess with it, I’ll just get it next time I cycle through them. But I thought I read you can’t add it?
