Check out this stupid idiot!!! Welcome to FPMITAP

This is drama at the highest level. It seems to me half the time spent talking about building those guns is how much time you will spend in Federal prison if you make a mistake. It didn’t seem to me the guy was really arguing with you, he just ask a question because he clearly is clueless to what he is doing. Is he going to be missing off the board because he is in the Federal pen? I don't know, but I doubt it. -
Mom leaves HCP class, takes gun to school
DaveTN replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I think it would be interesting to hear the details of this call from the Officer involved. I would bet that if there wasn't a liaison Officer already there, the Police were sent there because someone saw the gun and reported it. I would also bet that if there is a "Zero Tolerance" policy in effect for guns in the school, the Officers hands were tied as far as letting her go with a warning. Carrying a gun in this state is a crime, and as long as people call the Police and report it; the Police will respond. Anything less would be reckless on their part. Our state legislators control this; not the cops. -

Firearms confiscation. How would it go down?
DaveTN replied to timcar86's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
The new laws are the evidence. There is never a guarantee a law won’t be ignored, but at least it should now be clear to those being ordered to confiscate that those orders are unlawful. What more do you suggest? -
I don’t have land I can shoot on, but I would guess the main question would be containment of the rounds you are using and proximity to neighbors. If I could hear gun fire in my house with the doors and windows closed; it’s too close.
-
I can shoot a criminal and go eat lunch; I know that. I also know that’s not normal, but killing innocent animals is not normal either. I’m not shooting a dog unless it is attacking me, and I'm not hunting any animal for sport. If you need to put a dog down for a reason that’s one thing. If someone thinks they can kill them just because they are loose; they are wrong. I hold my dog in a lot higher regard than many people I know; he’s part of my family. It’s why I protect him and make sure he can’t run loose.

A person carries a gun into a school and the answer here is to fire the cop that arrested her and pull the license of the firearms instructor (I assume because she is too stupid to comprehend what he said???) We live in a state where carrying guns is illegal. Fire your state legislators. -
Ask them to cut your bill... http://www.tngunowne...t-cut-our-bill/

Without asking. We have been looking around for an alternative to Comcast due to the high monthly cost. Today the wife called because of a problem with one of the DVR boxes. They took care of the problem and then told her they could save her some money. They cut our monthly bill $50, gave us a house phone, and raised our internet speed to the next level (I didn’t think it could be any faster).

Don’t you speak Spanish? You should learn. Just kidding…. Kinda.

The government is us. We will not throw the Constitution away. People like Obama will try to do an end run around some things. On the morning of November 7th the citizens of the United States will have spoken. You seem to be a bit more positive about what they will say than I am; I hope you are right. I am absolutely sure that I will never be taking up arms against law abiding American Citizens, and I can assure you I will be on the right side. I will defend my country to my death (if need be) against anyone who tries to illegally overthrow our government no matter how noble they might think their actions are. No one is going to be going door to door and disarming us on any large scale. We can’t be assured that some nut case Chief or Sherriff won’t try it again. When the infrastructure and law enforcement collapses as it did during Katrina anything is possible. But because of those actions we acted to prevent it from happening legally again. I pray that the American people do not reelect Obama. But if that is what they choose; so be it. -

Mine has never expired; it’s why I’ll never turn my back on my people or try to overthrow my government. We are all painfully aware of what happened during Katrina. It was a small isolated incident during a tragedy the likes of which most communities have never seen. We are also aware that Tennessee and many other states took measures to make sure it can’t happen again. The rules were not clear to some then…. They are now. -
That’s good, but if they want to work in law enforcement tell them not to waste their time with that “Criminal Justice†non-sense; get a degree in something a law enforcement agency would want and something they could fall back on if they don't get the Law Enforcement job they want.
-
No, but I’m sure it’s been very rewarding for you. Thank you for what you do. I’ve watched the SPCA cops on TV and I don’t know how they can do that job. As a Police Officer I was able to help make sure violent cruel people went to prison; from what I see SPCA enforcement rarely gets to see that. It has to be hard to see a criminal be cruel to an animal and then walk free.

Used guns are higher here for us because we can meet and buy them in a private sale. No background check and no paper trail. Some people are willing to pay more for that; I’m not. I’m not a convicted felon or worried about who knows I bought a gun, so most of my purchases lately have been new.

Scared myself........Now I use what I have.

My 100+ pound Doberman is in the house. Until a couple of years ago if anyone came on my property he let me know. He’s in bad health now. When he passes I’ll have to make security changes. -

Chattanooga paper endorses Gary Johnson!
DaveTN replied to Chucktshoes's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
That’s some of the most ignorant crap I’ve ever read coming from a newspaper. Should Romney win it will be close; Obama will have nearly half the popular vote. Using that logic Romney would need to implement Obamas ideas. Second place is just the first loser; no one will care what their ideas were. EDIT: From what I have seen of Gary Johnson I like him. But he didn’t make the cut. Maybe he will get to work earlier next time. -
I kinda thought when Barrett opened a gun store it might happen, and it may still be in the plans I don’t know. With guns gaining in popularity and most everyone that shoots wanting the ultimate long range or “Sniper†rifle; it will happen. Terry Walden’s place is 300 meters and is $5 to shoot. It’s just hard to get a place on the rifle side on popular days to shoot.

DaveTN replied to Chucktshoes's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
That’s intelligent; endorse someone that has zero chance of being elected. The people of Chattanooga should stop their subscriptions if their paper thinks this election is a joke. -
That was my point; no one cares whether you were in fear or not; only would they have done what you did in the same circumstances. Of course they get to sit around and think about it for days, weeks or months. With the first Police car that arrives at the scene, you will be coming in contact with people that will be making decisions about your future and the future of your family. Have a plan; you are the one that is going to have to live with it.
