  1. Absolutely, it’s just discussion. I’m not pizzed at anyone. But besides the forum, we have to be careful in discussing overthrowing the government and shooting people. There are agency’s that will act on that kind of stuff. But it could be I just don’t understand how those things work. ;)
  2. No, I’m just pizzed off that I can’t do it; it’s a crime. Just kidding; I wouldn’t do that. Very rarely does “entrapment” actually apply when used. However, the situation you are describing is entrapment if the person was not selling the gun. Why would the ATF need to entrap legal gun buyers when all they need to do is pay attention and they could have all the illegal sellers they wanted? I have only seen one person locally jacking the price through the roof so far, he turns a lot of guns, and I am absolutely sure he doesn’t have an FFL.
  3. I’m setting in my house in Tennessee. I can own most common guns, others I can own for a fee. I can carry a gun most places I go. Sack up? Why do I need to sack up? What do you think I should do? I led you down the path to taking over our nation’s capital and then ask you, “What now”. You didn’t have an answer. What do I need to be doing now? What freedoms of mine have been stripped away? I did want to overthrow the government when I was a smoker and the states decided they knew better than business that smoking should not be allowed in businesses. But I quit smoking and got over that. Everyone on here said they didn't like smoking and that the state was doing the right thing and "helping" businesses.
  4. Is the full graphic downloadable somewhere? Is it copyright free?
  5. And when you get done killing the politicians you don’t like, what next? In your fantasy world of attacking the most powerful country on earth filled with people that will give their life to stop you, after you take the Capitol and see yourself holding a gun over your head and planting a new flag…. What then? What do you see happening immediately after that? What do you see Americans like me doing? In your fantasy am I laying down my rifle and surrendering to you?
  6.     [Liam Neeson voice ON] But a bunch of cranky old gun nuts with a very particular set of skills; skills we have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make us a nightmare for people like you. [Liam Neeson voice OFF]
  7. I have been called a lot of things but a Democrat or a liberal were never on the list. We have two very different sides, but do you really think a shooting war will be the answer? The civil war devastated this country. The wrong side won. Besides killing a bunch of people what did we gain? What do we have at risk today? We would be a third world country when it was over. A third world country with deployed ballistic submarines with nuclear war heads. How will that end? The whole world would open fire on us.
  8. No it hasn’t. Some that call themselves Americans, but certainly are not Patriots have. That doesn’t mean I will throw my hands in the air and give up. During the great depression and WWII the world was collapsing around the “Greatest Generation”. Had they given up and turned on each other we would be speaking German and I would have never had the life I have enjoyed. I owe it to my kids and Grandkids to make sure they can enjoy a life at least as good as what I have had. I have tried in every way I know to make sure that will happen. However, as you can see too many have only cared about themselves, they don’t care about future generations. And when the smoke clears there will be a lot of dead terrorists lying on the ground. I took an oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic and to bear true faith and allegiance to the same. What is a Constitutional right and what is not will be determined by the Supreme Court of the United States; not by a thug threatening me with a gun.
  9. Maybe you guys can get a group discount……
  10. Our founding Fathers never intended the 2nd amendment to be used by a bunch of azzhats to justify killing Americans because they aren’t happy with the current administration. We have a set of checks and balances in place. If they fail to point of us taking up arms against each other our country will be in total collapse. I am an American. I will never turn my back on my country.
  11. Those items had to be reverse engineered to create a model. How did they do that while you wait?
  12. It had to create an air gap around a spindle.
  13. I was thinking that someone would say that as I typed it.
  14. I don’t know too many people that are using it for functional parts, but I guess you could if it uses the material you need. Mainly it would be used for inspection and set-up. I would like to have that ability so I could write a program for doing a first article CMM inspection without having a finished production part. It could also be used for visual pre-approval.   Yes, 3D printing and rapid prototyping has been around for years, but not with the ability to turn the screw on that wrench and have the jaw move.  I called BS the first time I saw that, but they assure me it can be done. That is amazing.   Our stuff is too big. Some of our components are 10 feet long.
  15. You still need to have the ability to make a model. Some one that has the skills to make a 3D model that will work will probably have access to better machines than 3D printers to make it. I don’t see why the newscasters would be a panic about how this technology would be legislated. We make aerospace parts and have machines far more capable than these printers for making guns. So why don’t we do it? Two reasons, one is that whether you make a functional gun with conventional CNC machining, manual machining, or a 3D printer, if you don’t have a license to make them the BATF will arrest you and throw you in jail if you transfer them. Secondly you cheap azz guns owners won’t pay enough to have a custom gun billet machined.
  16. I usually don’t hope anyone gets arrested on guns charges. But I hope some of these guys flipping guns for a profit get their azz busted.
  17. That's a good thing don't you think? Unless you are a Blues Musician or a Police Officer, why do you stay there?
  18. I think we did in repealing prohibition… didn’t we? I think the majority was on the side of drunks…. And still are.
  19. I know a little about it, we have looked at it for fast prototyping. You can make whatever you want out of plastic. I don’t know how affordable it is.   I wonder if those people that get so upset know that many of us have the ability to make our own AR lower and it won’t beak after a few rounds.   Here is a video we watched of them printing a 3D Crescent Wrench....   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hFRVlAGupeI
  20. But as you probably know Mike, I don’t feel my right to keep and bears arms comes from the 2nd amendment. We don’t have the majority of “The People” on our side and I don’t pretend to need them. Nothing against anyone here that wants to believe in the 2nd; I just am absolutely sure that I personally do not have that as a right.
  21. I’m confused. I go to Chicago all the time; it is my #1 choice for a city to go party in. I stay downtown; I walk or take a cab between the bars and restaurants. I have never had or seen a dangerous incident in Chicago (other than bar fights ). I was gambling at Tunica. A friend decided to take the bus to join us. I picked him up at the bus depot in downtown Memphis. I was almost car jacked by five gang bangers, and would have been had I not been paying attention. My friend said the employees at the bus depot told him not to walk outside until his ride got there; it wasn’t safe. That trip caused me to get my carry permit. All cities have their dangerous areas. Chicago is constantly attacked on this forum claiming high crime rates because they have restrictive gun laws. Nothing could be farther from the truth. If having restrictive gun laws cause crime how do you explain Memphis or Nashville? Anyone that can afford to pay the state and isn’t a criminal can carry a gun in either of those cities. Gun laws have little or no impact on crime rates.
  22. That's funny.
  23. I wonder what would happen if they used some of that money to give land and tax breaks to business they wanted to move into the area. Of course it would be tough to get companies to move into one of the most dangerous areas in the country.
  24. I’m guessing not much; it won’t go far.
  25. My point exactly. You start talking about armed resistance and reasonable people will distance themselves from you like the plague.
