  1.   Georgia is a red state, they might want to do something more. http://www.cbsatlanta.com/story/20386595/georgia-lawmakers-eye-gun-control-in-wake-of-conn-massacre
  2. I know that you can’t force a business to allow someone to carry, but can’t you do something about cases like the AutoZone worker being fired for getting a gun out of his truck and stopping a potential homicide, Or the pizza delivery guy having his hours cut for fending off attackers that were punching him in the face because he used a stick?   These companies have these policies because of their fear of lawsuits. But to take action against someone defending their life or the life of another is crazy. Can’t you use what they fear the most to make an example out of them?   To make sure I’m being clear here, I’m not saying they can’t have a policy agonist guns and they can’t fire someone for violating it. But to fire someone for violating it to save a person’s life is ridiculous.   Kinda like Tennessee’s gun laws. You can’t carry a gun without a permit, but if you do and you have to use it, you can’t be charged with a weapons violation if you are justified in using it.   ???
  3. With all the fireworks and all the emotion of the last time; I doubt you will see anything pushed through so fast no one has time to react.
  4. I have a Crossbreed SuperTuck and a D.M. Bullard Dual Carry both for my M&P Compact. They both carry well.  I prefer the D.M. Bullard because it is leather and Kydex sucks. I don’t use either of them tucked though.   My experience with Crossbreed CS was excellent. I left my holster in the car at work and it melted. They replaced it with a new one.   The Crossbreed can be used with my fullsize or Compact M&P either one. The Dual Carry is closed on the end and can only be used with the compact.
  5. I’ve seen the results of too many home invasions; they go down fast.  Even though it’s ready, I’m not sure I could get to it that fast, although I can put a handgun in my hand that fast. Everyone has their opinion, but based on what I have seen no man alive can withstand a close quarter hit from a .308 and still return fire. Even with Rifle plates in the vest it would be hard, the .308 (7.62NATO) is a devastating round. And I’ll be too close to miss. I'm also not going to be out walking around my house looking for anyone..... don't do that.
  6. If he trained you right it certainly does. The top trainers in the country have friends and family that I’m guessing probably doesn’t pay for training.
  7. If 15 rounds of 40 won’t handle the job; I’m thinking I might need that.
  8. Military and Police Officer training here, so I didn’t vote. I was also a member of our PD Pistol Team, that wasn’t mandatory and helped me a lot. I had to take the TN HCP course because my LEO cert was more than 5 years old. The state requirements are a joke. If you have no experience and no friends or family to train you, you need to buy some Professional training.
  9. I’m not a SIG fan but isn’t the 226 a .40S&W that will take a 15 round magazine? That’s a heck of a lot of firepower. I have a 15 round .40, if that won’t do the trick I’m moving to a .308 semi-auto rifle. Because then penetration is not an issue. But I think getting your hands on a 308 AR will be kinda expensive for awhile.
  10. I think you have to join those Social Groups. Did you do that?
  11. If I'm reading it right; It's on a Friday.

    .22wmr rifle

I’ve never messed with 22wmr isn’t ammo hard to find and expensive when you do?
  13. Do you feel comfortable that you can stop any threat at your home with what you have? Sure it’s on the banned list; it has a detachable magazine and a pistol grip. I don’t know anything about it, but I would stick with the AR since it is a standard that you can expand on. I have AR’s in both .223 and .308. Depends on what I need at the time. I also have an M1 Carbine (Inland) but its put away, don’t need it with the AR’s.
  14. I carried a PLR-16 in my trunk with an HCP. It is made as a pistol. However, there was a big deal over one in Sumner country. If I remember right the case was clouded with a drug issue and the guy made a plea, but the DA said it was a SBR. Of course now it’s been changed that you can carry a rifle in your vehicle with an HCP as long as a round is not chambered. So, in your vehicle isn’t really an issue anymore. 39-11-106 is just Definitions, not something you would be charged for. You would need some other statue to look at. Since you live in Sumner County I wouldn’t trust anything I didn’t hear from the DA’s Office.
  15. I’m not familiar with that case, but I’ve got to work with the Secret Service. They will go visit (Investigate) anyone, anywhere they think there is a potential threat, not just where the line has been crossed. Ted Nugent was also investigated by the Secret Service for comments he made. It ended with the secret Service saying…"The issue has been resolved. The Secret Service does not anticipate any further action.", and Nugent saying "Good, solid, professional meeting concluding that I have never made any threats of violence towards anyone. The meeting could not have gone better,". What trouble did Bob Staats get in?
  16. Wow. I said I will not comply. But because I also said I won’t take up arms against another American you have come to the conclusion that I would roll over and be a snitch?
  17. He’s talking about a theoretical program to end gun violence; not what he is going to do. No one, including him, expect those things to happen. But he’s still a nut case.
  18. Non-sense. You think if I refuse to comply I have to pull a gun on a cop and die? You can’t be serious.
  19. If you wanted to imply the 2nd amendment you did a great job of doing that, as I posted in post #68 that’s what I got out of it.
  20. The Feds are busting people for possession in those states are they not? States can do anything they want, but when Tennessee passed the Firearms Freedom act I got a letter from the ATF stating it was unlawful. As far as I know it hasn’t been tested. The big test will would be when these weapon bans, if they pass, (which I don’t think they will) would go to the SCOTUS. They have already ruled you have a right to own guns, the state will control where and when you will bear them, and suggested that an outright gun ban would not be allowed. But some seem to think an “Assault Weapons Ban” would stand. Yes, I know the whole thing about the term “assault weapon” but we all know what they mean.
  21. Cut to the chase. There is non-compliance, resistance, and threatening someones life with a deadly weapon. Which are we talking about?
  22. It’s been going that way in a multitude of threads so far. As I stated before I don’t like the “We the people” part because it isn’t true. “We” (EBR owners) are nowhere near the majority of “The People”. If this issue went to a vote; we would lose. “We will not comply” for me means that we will not turn in or voluntarily surrender or weapons. It’s a great graphic and most here love it. I’m not the artist and this wasn’t a poll; I can make my own. But the font to me implies the 2nd amendment, and soon as you make that argument you are dead meat. I’m up for discussing this issue without name calling, but I’m not sure this thread is the place to do it; this thread is about the graphic. There are a bunch of other threads discussing this.Or maybe this is the place to discuss it if we are discussing when and where we will not comply?
  23. I would guess Magpul is on Christmas/New Year shut down right now. They will come back and I’m sure fire up full output. How soon do you guys think a hi-cap mag ban could pass? I would bet legitimate big dealers will get these in, Midway, Brownells, etc.
  24. Cops or Military shooting you when pull guns on American Citizens isn’t friendly fire, so what are you talking about? We are all in agreement with that. Why can’t we discuss that with our legislators instead of yelling “Come and take them!”? Why do you think you need to be displaying a gun? Do you think you are going to intimidate a Congressman or Senator? Hold up your gun and yell “Come and get them!” They are going to point at you and say there is exactly why we want gun control. Man you are 66 years old, you gotta know threating someone isn’t going to work.
