  1. I agree. There are several stories that say that’s a woman protesting the shutdown. Some even use a woman’s name, and her comments, but they don’t specifically say that’s her sign. In this thread you have a forum member making the same argument. I’m 65 years old and retired, and I can’t say I disagree with the statement that you can’t keep the economy closed. My wife goes to work everyday in the food industry without quality PPE; so I risk exposure anyway. We have had many threads here about the end of our country as we know it. Economic collapse is always one of the most possible reasons. That is where we are now. Choices are being made, hard choices, choices that are going to result in death regardless of which way we go. May God help us, and those that are making the hard choices.
  2. That looks like Stallone?
  3. Having served on one of those ships, I’ve often wondered what they think they are going to do? Do they think they are going to board one of those ships? I don’t have a problem with shooting criminals, but the criminal huggers back home in the U.S. will go nuts get excited.
  4. Maybe, if you don’t count drinks.
  5. Same here. I pay them a lot, and always thought they were overpriced, but they have a product that doesn’t have much competition. But then my parents wanted to switch when their bill got to high and when I started pricing other carriers for them, I found they were actually the cheapest. Lazy azz worthless customer support seems to be the norm anymore whether its Xfinity or Smith & Wesson.
  6. Besides the obvious bore brush, patch holder and mops, you will probably need a new rod. Unless you use a bore snake.
  7. Ha ha ha, that’s what I thought when I saw “You can also buy an additional Ethernet ports to the hardware store.” Besides English as a second language, I don’t think their “Hardware Store” and my “Hardware Store” would be the same place. That’s what I am going through now with cameras. Nest was bought by Google, so nothing is their fault; it’s Xfinity and the WiFi. Which may be true I guess.
  8. I have thought about replacing my Comcast stuff, but I have had several modems go out over they years. I just take them in and they give me new ones. I also have a phone modem. (Which, I never use the phone, but it reduced the price of a package) My speeds on Wi-Fi really suck. I have a XB6 and was trying to get the new XB7, but apparently its only been out for a few days, and like always, they are giving the good stuff to new customers instead of those of us that have been giving them money for years. I have a 300 Mbps plan and on ethernet I get 350 Mbps, on the same PC, or my phone I get 27 to 80 Mbps on Wi-Fi. I even added the PODS and they were a waste of money. I’m pretty much Okay with PC’s and TV on Wi-Fi, but my NEST cameras will go through times when they are constantly “hunting” or drop out altogether.
  9. Thanks. I was thinking router, but I guess I just need a switch.
  10. They were designed in the late 1800’s to aid feeding in lever action rifles. The diameter and velocity of most bullets keep them from defeating body armor.
  11. Okay, maybe you aren’t an expert, but that’s okay also. Before I try to pursue this any farther with Xfinity I need some help. My Xfinity modem/router/phone (XB6) only had two ethernet ports. I need two more, so I got online to see what router is recommended to use with that modem. Then I see they have a new model (XB7) out that has four ports. Cool, that would do. Its not been out long and they are telling me it’s not available to me. (On an Xfinity chat) So I told them I needed a recommendation on a router that would interface with this XB6 Modem. I assumed I could add a router with more ports to their modem. I also assumed there would be interface issues and some would be better than others. I ask them to recommend one, also hoping they would send me one. The first person I was chatting with said they weren’t familiar with that and suggested a web site to check. The web site they are sending me to doesn’t make any recommendations, it just lets you check on stuff you have in mind. So I asked if they would transfer me to a tech that could help me. They did. Here was that part of the chat: So… he is saying I can simply use splitters??? Before I pursue this any farther is he clueless or am I?
  12. It became the VX-II in 2003 Leupold catalog.
  13. Cops get bit by K9’s all the time. Just like they get maced, and hit with night sticks and flashlights during fights. (I absolutely know that to be a fact. )You wouldn’t want to get involved when a K9 is attacking a perp. I’m sure some dogs are trained better than others, but I wouldn’t risk it.
  14. Be sure to post before and after pics.
  15. Did that ever happen?
  16. QFT I believe that’s what happened with Trump. I doubt there is any other President in history where a large percentage of the voters that voted them in said “I don’t really like him as a person; but he is a good President.”. Many here said they wanted a President that wasn’t a politician. That is exactly what we have. For some, I guess the “be careful what you ask for” now has more meaning. For others; they don’t think he is necessarily a “party” guy, and that’s all right too. The Governor of Washington is already saying Trumps comments are urging “insubordination” and “illegal activity” by supporting demonstrators protesting stay-at-home orders in multiple states. Here we go again… Trump also brought Virginia and the 2nd amendment into his comments about Governors overreaching.
  17. You’ve been denied. They have 15 days to act on the appeal to the denial, but I don’t know what you can do other than trying to talk to a supervisor at TBI or hire an attorney. Acting under an emergency I guess they could extend those time; but that’s just a WAG. At 30 days you have to start over. This has been discussed here many times. My experience was not the charge, but the fact that there was no disposition. It was a 25-year-old misdemeanor that was dismissed. Never stopped me from purchasing until I moved to Tennessee. I had to go through the Circuit Clerks Office where the charge occurred. They submitted the dismissal to the Feds, and I haven’t had a problem since. But they sent me notarized copies of the documents in case it happened again. The TBI was no help; the BATF told me what the problem was and how to fix it. They try their hardest to have a lot of denials for their yearly stats so they can point to them and claim they stop a lot of criminals from getting guns. It’s not important that’s not true.
  18. Today I watched “April Morning” after seeing it posted here in another thread, and I watched “Danger Close: The Battle of Long Tan”. Both were very good.
  19. Danger Luke Skywalker, Danger https://www.forbes.com/sites/chloesorvino/2020/04/17/coronavirus-to-burst-another-bubble-carbonation-shortage-threatens-seltzer-beer-and-soda/#44f9ebc702a0
  20. That’s why I choose .40S&W for carry over .45ACP. Capacity and concealability is 100% the reason for my choice. And which is a better round is 0%. .45ACP is a better round, but not good enough to give up capacity and concealability. If I get myself into something 13 or 15 rounds of .40S&W can’t get me out of; I probably deserve what happens next.
  21. Are they where he can drop them on your house? He's badazz if he’s going to do them and your neighbor in a day??
  22. $1800 for six trees is a heck of a deal. It’s not a bad deal for 2 big trees. Does that include stump removal or stump grinding?
  23. I’d love to have that 610 in a 6.5” also. I never cared for the N frames when I carried them on duty (many years ago), but I’d like to have it for a range toy. I like .45ACP also, its my second favorite handgun caliber, .357 Mag is the first. Unfortunately, none of the guns in those calibers can compete with the .40S&W for capacity or concealability. 13 or 15 rounds of .40S&W, and I don’t feel the need to carry an extra mag on me. I recently bought a Ruger Blackhawk convertible. I chose the .45 Colt for my “Cowboy Gun” because the 2nd cylinder is .45ACP and I always have that. One of the three new guns I haven’t shot yet.
  24. I always say I’m too old to run, jump, and all that nonsense. But I have the ability and the equipment to “Stand and Deliver” at a very long distance.
  25. Scroll down to “Article 4. Dangerous Use of Firearms or Other Weapons” Starting there, there is a buttload of laws. I’m sure there is something we would all violate. https://law.lis.virginia.gov/vacode/title18.2/chapter7/ I think more than 20 rounds makes anything an "assault weapon" and the penalty is execution.
