    M&P 15-22

Buds has them available on their website, but they are $629.
  2. PMAG gives it a LEO designation. Usually it just means an extra magazine; with this it appears to be a 20 round PMAG vs. 10 round metal mag. But you don’t have to be LEO to buy them; you just have to find one. These (non-LEO) have a MSRP of $1619. Someone on another forum claims to have 9 of the LEO versions for sale for $3100 each. People are crazy.
  3. That is so cool. Gotta have me an M&P 308. I didn’t know they were out yet. Hopefully there will be an HBAR option. I sure would like to see how that performs at 300 yards. Of course iron sights won’t tell us anything, throw a Leupold on there and see how it does. Can’t wait…. Pretty rare for me to see something I would buy right anyway and sight unseen, but that with a heavy barrel would do it. Congrats...
  4. No, they don’t have to. The local UPS “Security Officer” told me I couldn’t ship a gun unless it was to an FFL and then only if it was for repair. The guy was an idiot. I called UPS corporate and they told me he was wrong, but because a firearm was involved they would not overrule his decision. I was so mad I couldn’t see straight, but there was absolutely nothing I could do.
  5. Wow… glad I don’t live in Chicago. I’m curious though, how does that murder rate compare with Memphis?
  6. I quit selling stuff that I have to ship after I had to drive a shotgun to Chattanooga on a private sale. It doesn’t matter what the law is, it only matters what the guy at the counter will do. The Post Office isn’t going to ship a handgun for you period, its against the law, and for UPS it depends on your counter person, I’ve never tried FedEx. I figure if I can’t sell them locally; my price is too high.
  7. Private property owners can pick and choose when they want to enforce a sign. The Brinks guys going to schools I assume would have to be covered by statute.
  8. I heard that, trying to shoot a moving a target is a lot easier than trying to read one. What was the guy thinking?
  9. I’m glad to see them standing up for what they believe in. As far as the schools go, I think it’s been made clear that is a state issue. As far as the Federal bans go; those will play out in the Federal District Courts and possibly the SCOTUS. I wouldn’t want to be a citizen violating a Federal gun law and counting on the state keeping me out of prison.
  10. What an idiot. Don’t they know if they make hunting expensive and unpopular their BMW’s will get all dented up by the deer standing in the road?
  11. This isn’t about gay rights this is about the safety of children in the scouting organization. Gay Scout leaders? You have got to be kidding me.   Say goodbye to the scouts; I doubt they can afford the kind of legal liability this will bring once the molestation accusations start flowing.   It’s sad that this is even being discussed as being acceptable.
  12. Put that camera on this UAV and you have ultra-high resolution video on a UAV that can stay airborne for 5 years. Big Brother truly is watching. http://www.suasnews.com/2010/09/1511/boeing-solar-eagle-wins-89m-from-darpa/
  13.     I wonder if that statement is true or if he had an M1A. The guy he is talking about is Philip Hernandez, but I couldn't find any info on the rifle. He opened fire on cops during a traffic stop and they shot him dead. No one else was injured in that shootout, so I’m curious who he thought was outgunned.

    S&W M&P-22

    They shouldn’t be a panic item. Buds shows them in-stock for $372 & $393.
  15. The Sherriff is speaking the truth. Let’s see if he keeps his job. He came through the ranks of law enforcement and has an impressive resume.   http://county.milwaukee.gov/MeettheSheriff9152.htm
  16. Two things matter to them, dealing without a license and straw purchasers; they don’t care about price, profit or market value. To buy a gun with the intension of reselling it is a crime unless you have an FFL that allows you to legally do that. However, it’s done all the time. We know who does it locally how the local ATF cannot know is beyond me. These people cause the price of used guns to be high, allow felons to freely purchase firearms, and are part of the reason private sales will be outlawed.
  17. We generally don’t wait around for someone to shoot at us; we aren’t bashful about firing the first shot.
  18. This will continue until this ban threat is settled in one way or another. I think a lot of this is illegal gun sellers trying to make a buck off the panic. Don’t buy guns or ammunition from them.
  19. I had the AG opinion on it, but I was told that one is out of date; maybe someone has a new one. So far the only ones that have been arrested (that I have heard of) were the ones that refused to leave, and as far as I know they were charged with trespass not weapons violations.
  20.   His Father knew it, and he went to court to try to stop it. You think his Father knew something he didn’t? You can’t make a reasonable, legal, ethical or moral argument against targeting this murderer and enemy combatant. He had every opportunity to surrender.
  21. I can; and my experience allows me to say it without reservation. You and I may not agree on much of anything but I doubt you think I am irrational.
  22. This isn’t his country. And he was tried convicted and put to death; same as any other enemy combatant.   He had every opportunity to surrender and have a trial if he was innocent. It wasn’t like it was some secret operation to kill him. He was targeted openly for the whole world to see. Any time he wanted to stop it all he had to do was pick up the phone.
  23. This is what happened in Illinois and it will happen here unless something is done. Cities might not be able to make gun laws, but these mayors and other city politicians wield a lot of voter power over those that do. Voters in these large cities blame guns because their kids get killed or end up in prison because they used guns in crimes. They take no responsibility for raising a criminal; it’s always the fault of guns, drugs, or Police. People living off the government or working for the government are becoming the majority. They want gun control.
  24. From the CCI website.... I think ATK owns most of them.

    Opinions please!

I’ve owned most brands of 1911’s. I have the S&W SW1911 Target. It’s a great gun. Unfortunately I had a failure of an MIM safety. S&W responded quickly and fixed it, I was disappointed that they couldn’t replace it with stainless, but I guess most use MIM parts now. Other than that it is a tack driver and has never had a fail to fire. I recently pick up a Ruger SR1911. I’ve only put a few rounds through it, but fit and function is nice. I haven’t had a chance to do a side by side comparison of it and the S&W. Also don’t forget Kimber. I think they are priced higher than they should be, but they certainly are quality 1911’s. My SW1911.........
