  1. While it shows that there are plenty in his area that are $30~$35, it also shows that there are a few that want to let you know right up front; they don’t want your transfer business.
  2. Gunbroker has a link at the bottom of the buyers pages "FIND AN FFL". You put in your zip code and it shows you the dealers that have listed with them, and what they charge.

    S&W M&P

Just try it out first. I had LEO M&P’s that had triggers that were okay. I bought a Performance Center M&P and the trigger was the worse I’ve ever seen on a handgun; worse than a Glock. It went back to S&W twice, the Firearms Director even got involved, and they still did nothing. I had to replace it with an Apex. I bought a M2.0 Compact 4” after that and it was okay. Anyone can have a POS get through. It’s how they handle it when it happens. I think I had a CS supervisor that wanted to let me know who was running the show…and he did. But that’s the risk I take when I order online.
  4. Good. I believe in a hand up not a hand out. If you refuse to work, or can’t hold a job because you are a screw-up…starve.
  5. My friend laughed at me because I’m thinking about moving and when he suggested some towns, I said “Do they have Xfinity?” He thought I was kidding. I am as serious as can be. (But it’s for the X1, not the internet.)
  6. [RANT ON:] What!?!? You mean to tell me you don’t think those that won’t work should have the same lifestyle as those who do?? I bet you think trophies for winners are okay to, don’t you? [RANT OFF:]
  7. The $2.447 billion budget has a rate increase of 32 percent, bringing the property tax rate to $4.15. That means a home valued at $300,000 would see an increase of about $750 in property taxes. https://www.wsmv.com/news/mayor-cooper-proposes-property-tax-increase-for-nashville/article_b380abc6-8961-11ea-8d36-932ef29b24cf.html
  8. That’s great that you folks from Nashville think your city is due a tax increase even without the virus. Good for you. The Mayor should have made the argument as simplistic as you have. But he didn’t. This is what he said.
  9. The Blue Angels & Thunderbirds have joined forces for “America Strong” flyovers. They did NY yesterday. Next is DC, Baltimore, and Atlanta. I hope they make an appearance here.
  10. Absolutely. Mayor Cooper has submitted his budget. If approved you Nashville folks will be paying 32% more in property taxes. He blames the tornados and COVID-19.
  11. And so it begins....
  12. Good video as usual. They were listing these on Armslist (it appeared almost exclusively for AR’s) at On-Target in Murfreesboro. I try not to be a gun snob, but I can’t help it. When I saw they were simply a builder and not a manufacturer, and not having any name recognition, I just figured I could buy the parts and build the gun myself. As I remember they were pretty pricey. So I went back to look on On-Target’s website at the prices, and they are gone. They aren’t even listed in the “Brand” section. Curious as to what happened with that relationship? Who are you buying them from?
  13. You find the kick of a 30-06 satisfying? The .223 is a small, high velocity round that was designed for the military to kill people. But the actual result was that it killed less people and left more seriously wounded and disabled. It's the most common round for the AR-15. It’s an inhumane hunting round, but many continue to use it because its cheap. It’s high velocity and flat trajectory, coupled with a low cost make it a very good target round out to about 300 yards (some claim 600). It has a lot more kick than a .22, but far less than a 30-06.
  14. Why would they need to pay $10K a week? The stories I see are of health care workers being furloughed and ask to take pay cuts because of all operations other than CV being shut down. But hey, if they can get $10K a week…more power to them.
  15. Wow…while I was very familiar with the quote, I don’t guess I ever knew who said it. Learned this and a new word today….good day.
  16. TRUMP: DAILY BRIEFINGS NOT WORTH TIME AND EFFORT, MEDIA ASKS HOSTILE QUESTIONS, REFUSES TO REPORT FACTS. So, it appears Trump has stopped the daily briefings. No big surprise there. They turned into the daily liar’s contest. I saw the briefing where the drama about Bleach and UV light came into play. Trump lied about the comments and so did the media. Trump said his comments were sarcastic and directed at the media. That was a lie. His comments were directed at Bill Bryan, not the media, and were comical. He was musing about UV light or disinfectant being used inside the body. He knows that and is probably why he stopped the briefings. The media also lied. Trump did not tell, or imply, for anyone to drink bleach or Lysol. That was a lie. Then they wrote that “hotlines” in NJ and NY had hundreds of calls from people wanting to know if they should drink bleach. I doubt that. Are hundreds of people that ignorant? Maybe, but more than likely, if that truly happened, it was the media making those calls. However, this is Trumps fault for not taking control of that room. Someone capable of being the leader of this country should not let those idiots run that room. When they ask ignorant questions or where they are obviously looking for a “gotcha” moment; ignore them and move to someone else, they will get the message. If they do not; kick them out. It won’t make the left hate him anymore than they already do; I don’t think that’s possible. But in the meantime, those of us that want information have to listen to a briefing for an hour and a half that could be done in 15 minutes.
  17. Obviously quality pictures are as important in identifying trees as they are in identifying or selling guns.
  18. It isn’t a case of being “tweaked for efficiency and profitability”, although that is the goal of every business in the world. Food has a shelf life. In many cases a very short shelf life. Fresh is the name of the game. They had the same problem medical and first responders had; they didn’t have good PPE. I guess you could blame them for not having millions of dollars of inventory of PPE, that also has a shelf life. But none of that will matter if people can’t eat. No worries though, just like with first responders, there will be plenty of finger pointing, blame, and armchair quarterbacking about what they should have done, to go around.
  19. The Class of 57 is great song for anyone, regardless of the year. RIP Harold
  20. The Rock Island Arsenal just added this info about the 1918 Spanish Influenza. Based on what we have today, its very interesting. Also, plenty of interesting military firearms stuff on their web site. https://www.arsenalhistoricalsociety.org/blog.php Quad City Times article on the 1918 flu. As I was reading it, I found myself checking to see if they were talking about today or 100 years ago. https://qctimes.com/news/102-years-ago-the-spanish-flu-slammed-the-quad-cities-heres-what-it-teaches-us/article_d81c84ac-715d-527f-af26-c1d96ac35904.html

  22. You get in a shootout out there in those western states and those boys will be using serious firepower. You will probably want a scoped AR10 for a rifle. But this just a free bump, I have no idea if any of those states are going to throw you in jail for what you are carrying. I guess like most everywhere, it depends on how what you are carrying becomes an issue. have a safe trip!
