  1. As someone that has pulled plenty of dead, dying, and seriously injured from vehicles that were hit by drunk drivers, and then had to notify the families I do believe they are worth their salt. When I arrested a drunk driver I never knew if I had just saved lives or not; how would I know?   The responsibility of a Sherriff or Police Chief is to use his resources based on crime in the area. If you live in an area where rapists and armed robbers are running around killing people; then that’s where the resources should be used. If you find that the number of people hurt or killed by traffic offenders and drunk drivers eclipse the number of people hurt by “real” criminals; that figures into the equation. I have had to tell people a family member was killed by an armed robber and I have had to tell them there family member was killed by a traffic offender or drunk driver. I didn’t see a whole lot of difference in the pain.   I hope no one ever has to face losing a loved one to a drunk driver; but it is going to happen. It’s not an “accident” and it’s not fate; it’s a criminal act. Our founding fathers faced with the same situation would be fine with it. What they would be appalled at is that multiple offenders are not in prison.
  2. Affordable care act? Or do you mean GCA?
  3. Unlike gasoline, alcohol, and tobacco; the SCOTUS has acknowledged an individual right to own a gun. I don’t think a tax aimed specifically at making guns and ammo affordable to only the wealthy would pass constitutional muster even if the law passed.
  4. Most states won’t stand for disarming Americans…. It just won’t happen.
  5. But damn man… we are doing it; and we could stop it today. Ain’t no “they” when it comes to destroying our economy; it’s “us”.
  6. A paycheck will eventually get them to the polls....maybe. As the economy gets worse and more people are unemployed or underemployed it will be tough for us to pay the bills and medical coverage for everyone that won’t work, or is an illegal. Our property taxes and income taxes will skyrocket; they have to.
  7. I'm sure everythig is an EPA violation if you look hard enough. They are one of the main reasons American mfg's have a tough time competing on price with foriegn companies.
  8. I wonder if this guy ever uses snap caps.... lets hope not.
  9. It’s a catch 22. Everyone gets their panties in a bunch when they see cops profiling people. Profiling is what they do. Every search is instantly a violation of someone’s rights. If you look like a gang banger it should be cause for a stop. If you have an AR strapped across your back and are wearing body armor in downtown Nashville; you are going to get stopped. When the courts make rulings that stop either of those things from happening; we are in a world of hurt and it is by no means what our founding fathers intended. You can't get in the fight with your hands cuffed.
  10. “We” are the minority at the voting booths right now. The people that voted Obama in are the majority (of the people that voted) and do not agree with “our” beliefs. How do you suggest we change that and leave our country, our form of government, and The Constitution intact?
  11. We still have the ability to change it. But “The People” say “No” to an overthrow; we aren’t ready to have our country destroyed.
  12. The American revolutionists broke from the control of a government on another continent. They didn’t try to overthrow the British government; had they tried we would still be under British rule.   I see a lot of things I don’t like. But I’m not silly enough to think I can overthrow our government by force.   If you want to walk in the footsteps of our founding Fathers, do like they did. Find a new land and call it your own. You can set it up anyway you like. No government, no restrictions, No cops… and you can live happily ever after.   But don’t think you are going to take my country by force or the threat of force. Our founding fathers would not stand for it and neither will most of us. We will not stand by and see our country destroyed.   My biggest fear is exactly what you say about when voting no longer matters. But that isn’t the case yet.   None of these ridiculous threats matter though; the numbers aren’t enough to cause a significant disturbance, much less a revolution.
  13. They are talking about people who advocate the use of force or violence. Someone here once used the term “Drive by revolutionaries”; they might be talking about you, if you are part of that group; but most here are not.   I’m a huge advocate of States Rights; it’s the reason I don’t believe the Federal government can control whether you can or can’t carry a gun off your property. But that doesn’t make me a hater and has nothing to do with the KKK or race.   To disregard the warnings signs of nut case extremists would be ridiculous. You have the right to say anything you like; you also can be held responsible for what you say.
  14. What else do you think it could be? Unless you had some other source of ignition around you it seems pretty obvious.
  15. One of the electrical experts can jump in here, but I think you also need to be grounded to discharge any static electricity.
  16. That’s okay… they have to do that until they finish the investigation. I hope they do it right so he doesn’t end up suing and getting a retirement.
  17. Anyone used it to set-up an XP OS? How did it work?
  18. Wow, I never would have thought an open casing would have done that. Did they give you good pain drugs?
  19.   So they are trying to protect first responders from gun fire. I don’t see a problem with that. I have never faced gun fire in a foreign country, but I have on the streets of our country. It’s not friendly fire and it will kill you just as dead as an enemy combatant firing it. Murfreesboro PD gets a Special Ops vehicle that I have already paid for and I don’t have to pay for a new one…. Win.
  20. If you own your own company it sounds like a decision that would impact your business and has very little to do with what we would do?
  21. Sad day. Another successful attack on Christians and moral turpitude. Hopefully the 10th Federal District or the SCOTUS will overturn this courts ridiculous ruling. I hope these people refuse to pay a dime.
  22. Incredible. I wonder if he was white guy and they found out he owned Storm Front if he would still be working? I’m not really wondering…..
  23. Private sale must go through an FFL.   The Feds and many states allow FFL’s to sell long guns to out of state buyers. But you will find many dealers won’t do it because they are required to comply with the laws of both states.
  24. Is this guy still working?
