  1. I would send the 27 back to Smith & Wesson. No point in paying for something the factory will do for free.
  2. Good for you. I was kinda thinking that is how this would end.
  3. In a murder case there is a victim. In the case I was called for there were multiple victims, but they were not murdered and the death penalty was not an option. In a drug case I’m pretty sure you would be asked if the evidence showed they were guilty could you return that verdict. You would either have to answer truthfully or perjure yourself.
  4. Unless there is more to the story; this case won’t hold up in court. “Intent” is an element of that offense. He will just end up with a big lawyer bill.
  5. Nonsense, both the accused and the state have a right to fair and impartial jury. But I am not required to give up my beliefs because I’m called for jury duty. Setting a murderer free would be an immoral act if I had not disclosed.   I was called for jury duty a couple of years ago. Not one of the 15 defense attorneys in the room questioned me about being a former cop, even though I put in on the jury questionnaire. When the Judge ask me something to the effect of was there anything else that they should know; I told him I was a former Police Officer. He asked if I had investigated these types of cases before, I said I had. He then asks if I could make an impartial decision based on the evidence; I said I could. I didn’t have a problem with serving on a jury; but I sure thought the accused and their defense lawyers should have that piece of information.
  6. And that’s the point; how it is manufactured is irrelevant. 3D printing caused the media to play to the hand wringers that think everyone will start printing guns. I know guns, machining and metallurgy; 3D printing is not going to impact gun manufacturing other than possibly lowering the cost of some components as MIM and PIM has done.
  7. Evidence will be ruled on in pretrial motions; you have nothing to do with that.   Then in good faith you should make that clear during the selection process if you feel that strongly about it. I could not convict a person when the death penalty is an option; I would make that clear so I would not be on the jury.
  8. There is no gray area in knowing age and state of residence; selling to an out of state resident or a minor is a crime.
  9. He doesn’t have to go through an FFL, but it has to go to an FFL here for transfer.
  10.    If it is plastic or of a non-traditional shape; they are already illegal under the Undetectable Firearms Act. Unless renewed again, the law will expire in December.
  11. It’s just a knee jerk reaction to technology that they don’t understand. 3D printing is some bad azz technology that will be very useful in manufacturing; but guns are not one of those uses. I find it amusing that I could produce a gun that is fully functional and would rival anything mass produced by gun makers, and it is legal; but involve a 3D printer and people starting wringing their hands. On a different note, we are looking at getting some parts quoted that we machine with 5-axis machines on complex surfaces; printing should be a fraction of the cost.
  12. What kind of “Government Contractor” has the legal authority to display vehicles with emergency equipment and direct people into parking lots?
  13.    I respect the guy for not going there. It would have resulted in him on trial on felony charges with a good possibility of prison time. He seemed to be in in much better control than the Deputy.
  14.    I think it’s funny. I don’t think there anything funny about his victims and certainly nothing funny about them being threatened with a gun. But I had to laugh out loud when I saw that this criminal had been arrested again. I guess stupidity makes me laugh. This guy’s life has been threatened yet he continues to try to get to the one place he will be an easy target; jail. The prosecutors made mistakes and the jury got it wrong, it happens in our legal system; I’m okay with that. But in spite of the failures of our legal system this guy seems to be committed to seeing that justice prevails.   I would guess for the same reason you keep posting in this thread; it’s something to discuss?
  15. Nonsense, I don’t get out of my vehicle and start chasing people just because they don’t look like they belong in my neighborhood. If I did, I wouldn’t be shocked when I was arrested; its assault. I don’t pull guns and threaten women and I don’t live with women that would call the cops on me. So any of this happening to me….. not a chance.
  16. We live in a society with rules and people with the authority to enforce them. Our founding Fathers didn’t like the rules of the Crown so they started their own government and made their own rules. We don’t have a perfect system, but it is one of the best in the world. If you don’t like the rules, you are free to work towards changing them, start your own government, or find a country that better suits you. If there were only two people left on earth; one of them will have authority over the other. I believe in God and I believe I have a God given right to carry a gun to protect myself. The courts disagree and that’s what I have to live by. Our founding Fathers weren’t a bunch of nice old men trying build a utopia; they were militants that built the government they wanted and then put the branches of government in place to rule.
  17. I only buy American Made guns (unless they are military collectables) so it would be any easy choice for me; Henry or the (not listed by you) Marlin 1894C or used Winchester 94.
  18. You are a day late and a dollar short. The 7th Federal District ruled Illinois gun ban illegal. And the Illinois Supreme Court just ruled that handgun carry off your property is a Constitutional Right. Illinois may become the next Constitutional carry state while here in Tennessee we argue about parking lots and how we need to take “small steps”.
  19. What did the cop charge him with? Was he booked into jail? He didn’t appear threatening or disorderly to me. I didn’t pay attention when I was watching the video, was he asked to leave? What’s the TCA and the Federal Laws the Father keeps taking about regarding picking your kids up at school? All this was because they were letting the kids that ride the bus leave first? It appears to me the cop was childish and unprofessional in his actions; but was way over the top when he cuffed him and stuffed him. But that’s based on not knowing what took place before they started showing the published video.
  20. Federal Hydra Shok’s are the best round made, IMO. But a .380 doesn’t have enough power to fully expand an HP and then have penetration, that’s why most people use ball. It will take more than 40 rounds to figure out if your weapon will reliably feed them. I would stick with what you know works.
  21. Because they slept since the last time they saw you. You will understand that in a few more years. But then you will forget.
  22. $1500 AR 308 $500-$700 scope $800-$1000 ammo Bad azz rifle.... Priceless
  23. That’s her Click on her video page and she has a list of a bunch of holster reviews. (as well as guns and other stuff)
  24. There is a young woman on YouTube that does a lot of good videos on carry holsters, guns, and other accessories for women. Can’t think of her name right now, maybe someone else knows it?
