  1. I had no doubt of what your answer would be. But I don't understands what that means.
  2. CMP only has original military M1 Garand’s. So it has to be an original military stock. They have some that they put new stocks on, but they are clearly marked and sold as new stocks.
  3. What makes you think that Tennessee is going to have you stand in line to register firearms? Ask the question in the way it would go down. Would you be willing to be arrested, cuffed in front of your family, hauled off to jail, convicted of a felony, and lose the ability to legally own any guns? Do you work? Would you be able to keep your job with a felony conviction or still have it after spending time in jail? Do you have a family to support? It’s easy to say what you would do when you are sure you won’t have to make those decisions. I would comply with the law and work to change it. I already played the game of non-compliance. It was one of the stupidest things I ever did in my life. I was cuffed and stuffed and taken to trial. Luckily I had the money to afford lawyers that got me out of it without a conviction showing. Would I do it again? Absolutely not. No one helped me including the dirt bags at the NRA. You will be on your own.   And you? Since we are safely playing “What if” about a scenario that will never happen in this state; what would have us believe you would do?
  4. We came close to having a confrontation happen on July 4th when Adam Kokesh tried to get a band of people to openly carry loaded weapons through Washington DC. Kokesh said that if he was stopped by force he would respond with force. Kokesh was in between his pot smoking exhibitions and must have been high when he came up with this plan. I have no doubt how that would have ended. The Police were prepared and stated publically that the group would be arrested if they crossed into Washington. The Police would have taken them into custody one by one as they crossed the bridge. If he or anyone else pointed a gun, or fired on Police they would have been shot. Of course he backed off and decided not to try it. Why? Because he knew that he was either going to be arrested on weapons charges or die on that bridge. The option of parading through DC with weapons just wasn’t going to happen.
  5. Can you do it with your M&P without the kit?
  6. Did this legislation come as a surprise? Did the CT legislature hold secret meetings and pass this legislation? If not, where were these people who are ready to die for their gun rights prior to the legislation being passed? Show up armed and do what? As long as they are taking no action why would anyone get in a gun battle with them? They also won’t go house to house as with any other law they will deal with it as individual violations present themselves. An armed engagement with the Police would only result in prison or death; not many are going to be willing to go that route.
  7. At the time, to maintain a well regulated militia. Today enforcement of it either way by the Federal government would be a slap in the face to States Rights. If we ever have a Constitutional Convention it will be gone. I believe I have a right to carry, but forgive me if I don’t hang that right on a dog like the 2nd amendment.
  8. I believe my right to be armed comes from a natural right; not the 2nd amendment. But the courts do not agree. So who do you want making or enforcing the laws, the Feds or the State? Neither is not a valid answer; it’s just dodging the question.
  9. I’m not talking about abuse of power. I’m talking about how you handle yourself when you may be in violation of the law, and you are stopped by a good cop. Cops have discretion and telling your kid to turn into an attorney on the street may lead to a result they have to live with for life. They need to hear discussions on this and make their own decisions.
  10. This. Now at a different company I had a guy that worked for me flip out in a hotel while on the road for a trade show, the Police had to be called and he was admitted to the mental ward of the hospital. I wanted him fired but our parent company would not let me. They said he had to be given an opportunity to go to rehab. But that was a company policy not the law. He was taken out of our department and put on the assembly floor. We couldn’t have people that couldn’t be trusted to maintain out on the road without supervision.
  11. Chuck do you believe in States Rights? Or do you believe that the Federal government can tell the state of Tennessee that everyone can strap on a gun and go wherever they want, or that no one can strap on a gun? And it's Tow-mae-tow.
  12. Our founding Fathers put in place a system for us to take care of our differences. They never believed it was perfect and could not be changed or interpreted. You don’t get to say you believe in the Constitution and in the same breath call for the murder of those you think are violating it.
  13. You can’t call for the assassination of officials elected by the people just because you don’t agree with what they say. You are a loud mouth when it comes to the rights of individuals and innocent until proven guilty, but apparently are okay with the murder of those that don’t agree with you or that you think have committed some crime.
  14. So do they, and an employer can still fire them for testing positive.
  15. If you think that is good information; use it. If you have kids and are going to show them that, you have the responsibility of knowing the law and knowing what can happen on a traffic stop. If you don’t know; find someone that does; it might keep your kid from a criminal conviction that could ruin their life.
  16. I just read a story about how many Americans are on antidepressant drugs. So much for their background checks.
  17. Dear Smith & Wesson: Quit worrying about that purple and moon orange non-sense and put a quad rail on an M&P 10. Thank you.
  18. Unless I’m missing something it’s just you. Scratch Illinois off your list. They will be carrying this year. Look at the 7th Federal District ruling and the subsequent Illinois Supreme Court Ruling. Some states have passed legislation that they will not recognize any Federal bans. We have had more positive court rulings and gun legislation in the past five years than we have had in the past 50. I’m not saying to relax, but the anti gunners are losing their battles.
  19. If you are shopping a Chinaman on EBay against Newegg; tax isn’t going to change your mind.
  20. Correct. The anti’s don’t want to take on private sales head on; so they gave it a “loophole” name. There is no “loophole” in our state. The legislation they propose to fix the “loophole” is banning private sales.
  21. With gun rights moving in the right direction; it’s sad to see stuff like that. It’s not the peoples fault; it’s the legislators that passed the laws fault. I’m sure many people will refuse to comply,. But they will be arrested and charged with felonies with little fanfare as their weapons are discovered. People in Tennessee would line up just as they did in CT. But I doubt that we will have to worry about that; our legislators will not pass those laws.
  22. Not really.
  23. Welcome. Call Aerotek out of Nashville.((615) 837-4200) They are Headhunters and are calling me all the time. I’m okay where I’m at for now, but they always want to know if I know of any Toolmakers or Programmers looking to make a move. They claim to have plenty of job openings in our trade.
  24. They said “and Glock handguns worth $10,000, police said”; the guy must have had a hundred of them.
  25. That’s ridiculous at face value. So he’s a danger to the public, but he’s not a mentally deficient danger to the public; so he is okay.   Agreed, but they aren’t going to go away.   Please fill us in on what could possibly come from his case that will set us back decades???   He refused to show the paperwork; the Police are not required to hunt for it. His refusal will be a question for the court to decide.   The container was designed (by him) to make a Police Officer recognize what it was on plain view. I doubt the court would overlook that. I also thought they got a warrant? He is facing felony charges. A conviction would end any medical career he hopes for and would end his ability to own firearms, not to mention the possibility of jail time. Unless he can get some competent attorney (that he can afford) to takes his case; I expect this to end in a plea bargain.
