  1. Why would they need a law; you can refuse a search of your vehicle? (Unless that is a requirement for entry to the property)
  2. Problem 1: Tennessee does not recognize the 2nd amendment as an individual right. Problem 2: They (The State) thinks that although they don’t recognize it as a right they can bully private business into recognizing it. Until you fix problem number 1, #2 ain’t happening.
  3. No, I mean with Beretta moving in there they have an opportunity to expand if they move on it before someone else does. But maybe they are as big as they want to be; I was just making an observation based on the news, I have never been to the range.
  4. Of if you just want a better processor that is faster, work with solid modeling or video rendering, and you aren’t making your decision based on advertised speed vs. cost. The Intel vs. AMD is pretty easy to settle if someone has those concerns. Not that any of that really matters, (except look for "Intel inside") the OP didn’t sound like he wanted to build one.
  5. There’s a lot of drama and hate with Michael Dell taking the company private. As predicted those numbers are wildly exaggerated. http://recode.net/2014/02/04/dell-confirms-layoffs-which-are-much-smaller-than-youve-heard/
  6. Since they are concerned that their EBR’s will be illegal for citizens to own in the state they are in now; that would be my guess. But that’s just a WAG. I have heard that it will also be an R&D facility.
  7. Looks like Gallatin Gun Club has a great opportunity for expansion. I’d be making those contacts right now.
  8. “They”… should be outed by name and position. Not allowing them to have a patriot day while requiring them to participate in Cinco Di Mayo, a celebration of Mexican Heritage and pride is ridiculous and will only help to foster hate. I guess some community members need to get involved that don’t fear the school administrators. Sounds like the VFW, DAV and other Patriots need to make a public statement to these school administrators. I wonder just how many kids are in that high school that are not American citizens or plan on becoming citizens.
  9. As everyone has said; its legal for a long gun, but the FFL’s I have seen asked wouldn’t do it. They are responsible for complying with the laws of both states; so they may not want to mess with it. You might try shooting a PM to some of the dealers in the vendor section and see if any of the ones around you will do it.
  10. Dell on-line You don’t sound like you want to build one anyway, but I quit building my own years ago. You can’t build a good one for what you can buy a Dell for.
  11. You are a reloader so you must have a pair of calipers. Got anything in .684 diameter or anyone around you that can turn something down to that diameter?
  12. How much time did the felon that sold the gun to the chick that killed McNair get? BTW...So much for the idea that guns can’t be traced without paperwork. 3 convicted felons were arrested off that one gun.
  13. I agree and if you read my post #8 I don’t know how he could be convicted even he knew what they were doing with it. .There certainly is a problem, but I don’t think this guy was it. As I said I’m just curious as to what those 12 people in that courtroom heard that led them to a guilty verdict. Not one person would hold out for a businessman selling a legal product? There is more to this than what is in that news story,
  14. Are you addressing my post? If so one of is doing the math wrong. But I was merely pointing out that based on the amount we are talking millions in meth; I would guess. I would also guess that’s a crap load of theft, burglaries, and robberies. But that’s just a WAG. Maybe I’m way off base with my assumptions and all that meth is being bought by druggies with jobs.
  15. Well of course he is going to use “Executive Action” to override the courts and the DOC; why wouldn’t he? Free healthcare for the poor, illegals will get immunity (and the vote), try to find ways to put the long term unemployed in government jobs ahead of those that deserve them, now he is going to let criminals out of jail without serving their sentence. Whoever gets this guy’s support in the next election will be tough to beat; if it can even be done. I think we are yet to see the appalling stuff he will do before leaving office
  16. Someone would just shoot it down.
  17. It’s not the site S&W and the NRA are linking so I won’t use it, but it might work out fine for you.
  18. Yep, I would guess if you had the funds to go through enough to impact the barrel; the cost of a new barrel would be pretty insignificant.
  19. That’s a bunch of money for one source and only one ingredient. I would guess that translates to millions of dollars in meth. I would also guess that would translate to a whole lot of theft, burglaries, and robberies. But I have read on this forum many times that is not the case. So where do the meth heads get their money to buy all this meth?
  20. You can edit the link out of your post or put in the legit one I posted.
  21. What I was intimating was that I believe Beretta is actually manufacturing guns here because of a story I read about a machining center they put in Accokeek Maryland. I also went through a CMM training class in Nashville with a young lady from Beretta that was checking manufactured parts. Unlike some others like Glock that I suspect are doing nothing but importing parts for assembly. But I don’t know that for sure about Glock because no one from there will answer the question as to whether or not they are manufacturing and no one that I have heard from has been inside the facility and would know what they are looking at.   “Beretta Maryland” or “Smyrna, Ga” for Glock has nothing to do with what the gun maker wants on the gun. It is the name of the importer as required by Federal law. If you look at a “Springfield XD” they will be marked “Made in Croatia” probably because that’s what the manufacturer (HK Produkt in Croatia) wanted. But they also say Genesco, Illinois because Springfield is the importer.
  22. That site looks like a scam for your info. Here is the site S&W and the NRA are linking to. https://apps.facebook.com/thenragiveaway/

    Upgraded my M14

No point in fighting his point; especially if you don’t have the background to do it. There are people that used rifles like the M1 Garand, M1 Carbine, M14 and maybe even the 03 Springfield during their time in the service. They just want them. (You can't argue with that) I have the above rifles (except an M14) and I also have modern AR's in both 308 & .223. That’s why we have “collections”; thankfully we don’t have to choose one rifle for all applications.
  24. But it works to sell stuff. How many times have you seen people post that they carry Glaser’s because they are so devastating? They were designed for a specific application and general carry wasn’t it. Then the rave was frangible ammo of all types. Some people just want something new. How many times have you seen some of the best rounds called “old technology?” To me the intended purpose of an SD round is to cause an armed opponent to be unable or unwilling to fire his weapon at you. Sure, any round including a .22 may cause the average person to stop. But when you have someone cranked up on drugs, adrenalin, and emotion they may not feel pain and continue until they are physically unable to continue. There are many SD/Duty rounds out there that are proven performers; some have been around for nearly 30 years. I’m no ballistic expert, but I know metallurgy and a little physics. The applied physics of this round doesn’t work for me. But hey, someone on here get some of this and try it out. Maybe it will turn out to be the last round we ever need.
  25. It would be a pretty stupid move to announce they are closing Accokeek a year before they are ready to move. But Berretta said in may it will not relocate Accokeek. So this must be an expansion. Their USA HQ’s may stay there? It’s a small operation for them; its only 300 here (USA) with 1900 employees in the company. I’m also pretty sure that the rifle they are producing is not illegal to be produced there; just can’t be sold to the citizens of that state. I’m surprised that any gun company would move to a state that is not constitutional carry and where carrying a gun is a crime; but I’m glad to see them come here; we beat out Texas.
