As posted above everyone ideas will be different. I recommend the S&W M&P Shield for concealability. I wouldn’t recommend the Shield EZ; too many shooters have had problems. Or if you can stand a bigger gun with more rounds, the M&P Compact 4” M2.0.

I’m a gun snob. I try not to be, but I can’t help it. But that doesn’t have anything to do with where they are made. If you are going to buy junk; buy American Made junk.

I have Red Dots, but I don't need one on carry gun. If you want to do that you can either leave it on, if it doesn't automatically shut off, or get one with the shake awake feature. Get one that won't require the sight be removed to change the battery.

I live in a pretty decent neighborhood, but its on a main drag. I saw a story about an old guy talking his trash to the curb that was attacked and killed. It may be the same story you are talking about. It’s 100 yards from the street to my house, and I’m old, so getting there quickly is not an option if something goes wrong. I now carry a gun when taking the trash out….sad.

Certainly it is. I question why this political Circus came about. Why did we need Fauci and Birx? Is the CDC not capable of handling this? If that’s true; that’s a big problem that needs to get fixed. I’m fully aware of the other part of the Political drama. Trump brought our economy to a level we haven’t seen in decades; the Democrats desperately need for it to remain in ruins at least until the election. Are the American people stupid enough to believe this was his fault? I don’t think most are.

I’m not arguing one way or the other. I’m just pointing out that the BATF does not have the final say, and they tell you that on their web site. It’s kind of like an Attorney General Opinion. Will an AG opinion keep you from being charged by a DA? Probably. Is the DA or the Courts bound by it? No. When people ask these questions, they need all the information; then they need to do their research. Court is a very expensive situation, even if you win.

You have to read the law and decide if you are violating it. If you think the law says using a brace as a stock is okay; you are okay. If you think because manufacturers make them, or because the BATF has issued a letter, the courts aren’t bound by that. Here is what the ATF says about that… They have issued letters saying braces are okay, then said if you use them as a stock it’s a crime, then changed that and said its not a crime. These guys are clowns. Most of you would never rely on something the BATF said. That is, until they say something you want to hear.

I have no doubt that if the Democrats get control of the House, Senate, and the Presidency; they will try bans and registration. But unlike Virginia, if the Feds try it, I suspect it will be fast tracked to the SCOTUS. And they won’t be considering a states “reasonable restrictions”.

The people that wrote those bills didn’t expect them to pass; they just want votes and they think Americans are stupid. All they want to do is be able to pander to the liberals and whine about how those far right conservative pesky 2nd Amendment supporters won’t let anything get through.

You aren’t wrong; everything matters. That’s why everyone is saying she needs to try them all. Will 2 380’s do what one 9 will do? Not if they are slowed by heavy clothing and have very little penetration. But should someone use a 9 if they can’t do a follow up shot? No. Small lightweight guns are not fun guns to take to the range and shoot 200 rounds. Does that make them bad self defense guns? Only if you can’t hit someone at close range. He said she was a good shot with an SP101 and the recoil was manageable. It was just too heavy for her purse. My point being…she doesn’t have to like it for an SD gun; just be able to use it. She probably won’t notice the recoil if she has to use it. With the shootings I have seen or been involved in the investigation, when a person is shot they usually either give up or run. However not too long ago someone posted a story where a cop shot a perp multiple times with a .45ACP and he was still standing and returning fire for a long time.
