  1. No, you have to slow down to read the sign.
  2. I don’t repeatedly dry fire my weapons, so I use A-Zoom aluminum snap caps. The magazine is lighter but it doesn’t throw the balance “way off”. Works fine for me.
  3. That’s where a good realtor comes in; they would make that happen. I hope I never have to live where there is an HOA. At my age it’s doubtful.
  4. That’s because it is a Smith & Wesson. Everyone knows Smith & Wesson springs are made of unknownium and to exacting standards.
  5.             Why try? Those that think springs are damaged by compression will either not do that or replace them at some interval. Those that don’t believe it will keep their mags loaded. Will someone rely on a mag that has been loaded for 10, 20 or 30 years?… doubtful
  6. Sounds like its over. Cranking off rounds in the city is a constitutional right? Interesting. It’s also interesting that a representative of an HOA thinks they get to decide what’s “illegal”. That's just as stupid. I doubt the rule has anything to do with criminals or safety and suspect it gets them a lower rate on their insurance.
  7. Do you have a revolver like a Smith & Wesson L, K, or N frame in 4 or 6”? They will give you a good idea of just how good you are. Sights are critical on a target gun; not even needed on a self-defense gun. There are not yet (or at least I have not seen) any good adjustable target sights for Glock or M&P’s. Because these are not target guns. I suspect there will be for the M&P in the near future; we can hope. Hitting a 12” target offhand without the use of a rest is good for any Tupperware gun. However, stories run wild. Bob Munden shot a 6” balloon three times in a row with a S&W Model 60 J-frame at 200 yards. Gives us all something to strive for.
  8. http://www.99centstickers.com/?p=6 http://www.mydoorsign.com/signs/custom-guns-allowed-notice-sign/SKU-S-3518.aspx
  9. Why would anyone think his stand on the 2nd amendment, one way or the other, would impact his chances to become President? Obama openly said he wanted to ban all semi-auto guns; he was elected President…twice.
  10. What happens at 400 feet, does some other law kick in?
  11. That’s ridiculous, the workers weren’t at fault here the dirt bag with a gun tattooed on his waistband was. Play stupid games; win stupid prizes. In this case the prize was getting rifles pointed at you. If you were a cop you know you don’t arrest people for calling in what they see and you also know that this is nowhere close to a false Police report.
  12. Did you read the story you posted? He was telling a story about a time he was arrested on a warrant for an unpaid fine. It had nothing to do with this incident. RIF.   No one was brandishing a gun; there was no gun. But apparently the workers though he had a gun stuck down the front of his pants. You don’t need to have a gun in your hand to make a threat. If you walk out of your house and threaten someone and have a gun stuck in the front of your pants; the chances are pretty good you will be defending yourself on a felony aggravated assault charge.   I’m guessing… “There is a nut out here with a gun; send someone out.”
  13. And that is why he wasn’t arrested. I was simply pointing out why the Police were there. Call in a man with a gun and cops will show up. The arresting officer question had nothing to do with this incident. The guy was telling a story about being arrested previously on a warrant.
  14. No, Maine permits open carry. But when you come out and start yelling at workers the Police will come if called; especially if you are brandishing a gun. It works that way in most states; including Tennessee.   The Officer that places you under arrest.
  15. That’s about the same as calling him gay. Let’s see what happens when the gay’s unleash their wrath on this school.
  16. Racism is profitable, it’s profitable for those that claim it and it’s profitable for those that take the cases. Is anyone going to believe the NY city FD is racist in its hiring practices? Doubtful, yet the tax payers will pay out $98 million in a suit settled today. Because they claim they don’t have as many black and mexican firefighters as the should; money will be paid to those that couldn’t make the cut. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/03/18/black-new-york-city-firefighters-lawsuit_n_4988335.html?utm_hp_ref=new-york&ir=New%20York
  17. And some of you think legalizing marijuana will make it cheaper?? The state government will make your local dealer look cheap when you see what they will do with taxes if they legalize it. You have a product here that is doing some good and helping some people. But since use of the product it replaces is seen as a weakness, and will cause the state to lose tax money when smokers quit; tax the ever loving crap out of it. Being stupid should hurt.
  18. We have that in this state. It’s just unclear when that civil immunity kicks in. If you have never been charged there is no “lawfully” ruling. The DA not charging you doesn’t always mean you won’t be charged or that you are justified in you actions. If a dirt bag with no money finds an attorney to sue you, and you then sue him for costs because a Judge ruled you justified, and he decides not to pay the judgment; you are out of luck.   Not sure what you mean by that?
  19. I don’t think any court ruling will ever keep the occupants of drug houses from getting shot by the Police when they pull guns. An occupant of the house pointed a gun at an Officer and got shot. Unless they had the wrong house, it’s kind of hard to argue their concerns were unfounded.   I don’t agree with no knock warrants except in cases where the suspect is believed to be armed. That is not a violation of rights. There was probable cause for a search and a warrant was signed by a Judge. There was concern they could be met with armed resistance and that is exactly what happened.   The story makes the point that the Rutherford Institute is a nonprofit organization that helped get this case to the SCOTUS. However, they go on to say that their President wrote a book about a Police state. I suggest the person pushing this may be more interested in book sales than this case. This is not the case for the SCOTUS to make a ruling on.   There have been plenty of bad cases where innocent people got shot; why not use those? Lebanon, TN is one example.
  20. I don’t think anyone is arguing they couldn’t have flown to any of those places. I’m saying they couldn’t have done it undetected by security defenses or unnoticed by people on the ground. It would have been reported by now.   It seems to me all the news is doing now is quoting each other. Pretty soon they will get around to alien abduction.
  21. Getting to see what it’s really like would be a real eye opener for many.
  22. Manufacturers won’t invest in new equipment unless they think the demand will stay where it is; and apparently they don't think it will.  But if you go by that article it doesn’t matter; he is saying there is a powder shortage. I don’t know if that is true or not, but it doesn’t matter how many presses you have to run if you don’t have the materials to feed them.
  23. No matter what you post someone will still try it. People still post that they use WD-40.   Stick with proven performers not the latest “new” thing.   Whether you use grease or oil for your application; you must clean your weapon. Oil and grease attract and hold debris. Want your weapon to work? Cleanliness; clean properly lubricated guns work.   You don’t have to clean your gun. You can just fire to failure.
  24. At what range do you think he is shooting?
  25. The owner doesn’t know if his store was raided by the BATF?
