That’s a hunting handgun; I wouldn’t worry too much about it. Many people get upset anytime a “safety†is added. There is concerns that it could engage if the gun is dropped or under the heavy recoil. If that is a concern to you; it can be removed. I would rather not have an IL, but wouldn’t let it stop me from buying if I found the gun I wanted. My 617 I bought new had one, but it’s a range gun, so it was a non-issue.

There are pictures of some of this “group†on the FB page. I wonder if they agree with this guy’s childish outburst here. Although if he is who I think he might be; it isn’t his first childish outburst on the net.

I saw some dude open carrying today.

Couldn’t he have been a cop? Cops are blue collar. -
I wouldn’t waste my money on night sights. I would go with a Crimson Trace Laser if you have the funds. (I have an SR1911 but have the stock 3 dots on it.)

Smith & Wesson M&P. They cover the whole range AR’s (.22, .223, .308), full size duty weapons, compacts, sub compacts, options the way you like them, best customer support in the business… what’s not to like? Would I give up my J,K or L frame revolvers or my SW1911? Nope, glad I don’t have to pick just one platform or gun.

Seeking legal opinions for HCP app - dismissed charges
DaveTN replied to a topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
You should be fine with what you already sent. “Diversion†is not a disposition; it’s a path to a disposition, which in your case is “Dismissedâ€. Certified copies from the clerk of the court should clear it up. I’m not a lawyer nor do I play one on TV, but I’ve been through the TBI telling me I had a charge without a disposition. I went through being turned down twice in this state before the BATF told me how to fix it. -
The Illinois Supreme Court is in line with the 7th Federal District. It shouldn’t take any longer than it takes to get the case to them. Illinois is positioned to become a Constitutional carry state in spite of Chicago. That’s a hard battle though; nearly half the state’s population is in those three counties of “Chicagoland†http://www.nraila.org/legal/articles/2013/9/illinois-supreme-court-declares-states-ban-on-carrying-firearms-unconstitutional.aspx

He has a full panel of idiots with him. What do you do when you don’t have the education or skills to make the wage your friends or family make? Why you ask the government to step in of course. http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/politics/clout/chi-group-calls-for-15anhour-minimum-wage-in-chicago-20140528,0,5951445.story Really? And let me guess.... its a lease.

So… you sell a handgun to a 16 year old from Alabama and he kills some kids in a school shooting. It’s traced back to you. Your defense is going to be “I asked him if he was over 18 and if he was a Tennessee resident and he said yes; that is all I am required to do†??

URGENT - Permit-less Car Carry in the Senate Tomorrow
DaveTN replied to wk05's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
View is not a requirement, notification is not required by law. -
You did the right thing. I doubt it was any kind of LE involvement; they usually buy, not sell. But regardless, who wants involved in any kind of possible legal problem? We only have three legal requirements for private transfers; age, state of residence and is not known to us to be a felon. The first two are clear cut and our responsibility to check. The third can be a problem to be hashed out in court depending on what everyone involved says.

Finding something you really want on Ebay and its not buy it now
DaveTN replied to Rightwinger's topic in General Chat
That’s what I do. Bid the absolute max I am willing to pay. It won’t go higher than the highest bid plus increment unless it needs to. Bidding before the end just runs the price up. -
URGENT - Permit-less Car Carry in the Senate Tomorrow
DaveTN replied to wk05's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I wish carry for all citizens had passed, and I hate the term “baby steps†, but maybe in a few years we will join the ranks of states that recognize the 2nd amendment as an individual right. -
Does anyone think these will sell? Nearly a grand for the 64GB with a keyboard/cover to over $2K for 512GB with keyboard/cover. What is Microsoft thinking?

The three I see on there is a nut case in California that posted on YouTube he was going to start killing people because girls wouldn’t have sex with him. He was interviewed by Police and released prior to the killings. (Mental case) A shooting outside club fusion in Nashville and a shooting at a party in Clarksville. (Gangs/Alcohol)

Another vote for Beltman. I just got my second one because I wanted black, I have a brown one that is about 5 years old and still looks great. I have not seen this kind of quality in belts since I was buying duty leather. I’ve never seen anything close to these belts in the stores. But they aren’t cheap, they are basically a hundred bucks shipped. My last one took 7 weeks to get, but they also have some standard belts that are ready to ship.

Fords won’t refinish the gun or they won’t copy that graphic? That’s a Colt graphic, have you checked with them to see who does their refinishing?

What does a drug deal gone bad have to do with posting?

If you log into GB you can search by those that actually sold. The only one I see that sold was for $695. Buds last price on new was $858.
-
The article says it was a search warrant on the sale of prescription drugs. Sounds like the gun find was a freebie.

I would ship them to myself at her address or hold for pick-up. The last time I flew with a gun (prior to 9-11) when I arrived in Orange County my bag came down the conveyor with a big red tag on it that said “GUNâ€. I don’t know if any of the airlines still do that. I don’t think the legalities are as big a problem as theft.

Negligent Discharge in Cordova Malco

Had good old George killed someone in his recklessness I wonder how that sign would have impacted the civil case against the theater. -
Not sure why anyone would want to put nickel over a stainless slide and frame, but I’ll take it if it’s free.
