  1. Anyone know what time the Blue Angles will fly today? What time did they fly yesterday?
  2. It won’t be original when you change out the interior. So go for it.
  3. I can turn cash into empty brass fast enough without full auto. She wants to buy you something special you haven’t done, so I would wait for them to get the paperwork straightened out. She will enjoy hearing the story when you tell it over and over and over.... However... I would have a heck of a lot more than any 40 rounds if I'm paying for the full auto experience. While you wait; stock up on ammo to burn.
  4. Since it’s already out; I would just stick a 350 with a 671 Blower in there. But that's just me.
  5. I must be just a few years younger than you. When I was in the Navy they were flying F-4 Phantom's.

  7. So you have a homemade AR rifle, a hundred dollar scope, you are a new shooter, and you think it might be bad ammo because you can’t repeat a 1” group at 100 yards or a 2” group at 200?
  8. That’s $400 off B&H or Bestbuy. Canon USA has a reputation for honoring grey market cameras. It could be a good deal, or they could be passing off a refurb. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/892354-REG/Canon_8035b009_EOS_6D_Digital_Camera.html http://www.bestbuy.com/site/canon-eos-6d-dslr-camera-with-24-105mm-f-4l-is-lens-black/6776249.p?id=1218807858712
  9. One dead, one wounded (victims), nine AR mags still loaded. Had this kid made his way to the school who knows what the body count would have been. An active shooter ran into the only thing that can stop one; another active shooter. http://www.oregonlive.com/gresham/index.ssf/2014/06/oregon_school_shooting_slain_r.html
  10. I remember once in a vehicle stop seminar one of the instructors told us that discussing the real life deaths of Police Officers as examples can be tough; especially if it an Officer you knew. But it is done and we learned from it so we didn’t make the same mistakes. I think what the victim did was extraordinary. Not many people would do it or even have the ability to react fast enough under stress to do it. We don’t have to take anything away from him to learn from what happened. Like a cop, when everyone else was running from the danger; he confronted it. Those situations are micro seconds quick and he missed a perp. It’s hard not to have tunnel vision when you are engaging an armed perp; I know I have done it. When you aren’t dressed it’s a cops uniform its much worse. You have to have your head on a swivel and watch everyone. Another armed citizen could be walking in on your situation and not know if you are a good guy or a bad guy. Have a plan on how you will deal with people in the vicinity. Three innocent people lost their lives because two dirt bags were pretty sure they wouldn’t get shot. The victim that reacted and engaged the shooters is a hero; the fact that he got ambushed doesn’t change that.
  11. No one said their lives are more important. There is the same outrage with the victims are innocent citizens, school shooting victims aren’t cops. The outrage comes when people try to justify their actions or claim to be starting a revolution by killings cops. These people are too stupid to understand that when they decide to have their "revolution" American Patriots will drop them in their tracks as fast as cops will. Our military is our defenders overseas; cops are defenders here. I support them in any way I can.
  12. you are allowed to post garbage like this but we are not allowed to respond in the fashion it deserves or we will be banned.
  13. Yes it was Kydex. It was a Crossbreed Supertuck. I was selling it because the sound and feel of a gun dragging across Kydex is like nails on a chalkboard to me. I had it sold and was meeting someone after work that wanted it. I left it in my car and it melted. It melted the holster and the belt clips. Crossbreed handled it right though; they told me to send it in for repairs and they sent me a brand new one in just a few days. Gun holsters should be leather. I bought a D.M. Bullard to replace it. Costs more; but I can leave it in the car if I need to. I keep saying I am going to learn how to work with leather and make my own, but I just don’t have the time.
  14. I need an IWB for a Shield also. I need leather though; I sometimes need to leave it in the car and my last Kydex melted. I’m looking for something leather with a clip that can rotate so I can appendix carry.

  16. After a range trip I soak my guns overnight in a tub of gun cleaner. Most debris comes right off. If any rings are left on the cylinder face I use a toothbrush and Happich Simichrome; comes right off like it was never fired. Guns that have never been fired are like Corvettes that have never been driven in the rain.
  17. No, I don’t want the Feds involved in anything. They don’t have the authority to regulate carry and once they get it; they will screw it up. This is a States Rights/Law Enforcement issue and each state will have to deal with it. These people are not on our side. They are doing the ridiculous to force gun control.
  18. I own M&P’s in various sizes. As a former Police Officer I would recommend that you get whatever the department you want to work at carries. The Shield is a good carry weapon, but it’s not a duty or target weapon. If you can only afford one right now I would recommend a full size M&P in .40. I don’t know why a department would care one way or the other about an HCP, but different people doing the selection on different departments sometimes have their own ideas about things. That’s why it’s good to find a contact in the department you want to work (preferably someone that’s been there a long time) for and get the inside scoop.
  19. No, they fire them with proof loads and they leave a mark. On stainless the marks are very easily removed. My 686, 66 and 617 have thousands of rounds through them, but if you look at the cylinder face they all appear new.
  20. Short of being drug behind a car there isn’t much you can do to a stainless gun finish that isn’t an easy fix. I’ve made some basket cases look like new.
  21. I thought you were a Colt guy? Don’t tell me you have finally seen the light.
  22. It’s part of the plan. You get as much “justice” as you can afford. You can get charges dropped or found not guilty; but your attorney still gets paid.
  23. Its only 7 years old, and all Smith & Wessons have been fired. I would enjoy it; it won't impact the value unless you damage it.
  24. I think it’s a stretch to think this is some kind of attempt at gun control, but whatever. If you want off that list go to the most obvious missing industry of that list and ask them how they got off it. The liquor industry.
