I think this answers the question it is from "County Clerks Sales and Use Tax Guide to Automobile and Boat Transfers" from the state. The first part of it talks about who is exempt and who is not. But this part is from page 5. http://www.tn.gov/revenue/countyclerks/salestaxguideautoboats.pdf

‘Open Carry’ Gun Fight Moves to Target Stores
DaveTN replied to JohnC's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
If he is yelling “shots fired†to the dispatchers and the bystanders he will get cuffed and stuffed when the cops get there. He’s an idiot. Why would the gun carriers run? -
There are people that will turn in front of you intentionally. But there are some that don’t see you because they are talking on their cell phone and can’t process all the information around them. Then someone gets to die because a driver thinks they need to talk on the phone will driving.

I’ve been riding all my life and my experience as a rider and as a cop that worked a lot of traffic is that anything that makes a cager more aware of your presence may help. A lot of motorcycles wrecks are drivers changing lanes into a bike because they have a blind spot in their sides mirror and don’t know the bike is there. If they don’t see you it may help if they hear you. What’s your experience that makes you think it’s a crock?

It doesn’t place any burden on you, it’s not against the law to sell to a felon; it’s against the law to sell to someone you know is a felon. The Burden is on state to prove you knew the person was a felon. (Of course hefty legal fees could be involved) Not the same though for age and state of residence; you can check ID for that.

I sold a gun to a gun in Franklin. It was stolen from his house in a burglary. The suspect was caught in possession of the gun. The DA used the victim’s testimony at the guy’s trial to show ownership, and then refused to give the gun back to the victim without proof of ownership. He lost his copy of the BOS I gave him and asked for a copy; I sent him one. I guess if the guy hadn’t had my information he would have been out a $1000 handgun.

I got a ticket and missed my court date! Freaking out a little!
DaveTN replied to Ladyhay's topic in General Chat
Where I was from they sent a letter with a new court date before they issued a warrant for FTA. Do they do that here? -
Is there a law that requires the TBI to destroy them? If so, you think they are violating the law and everyone in the TBI is keeping that secret?

Mystique, claiming?? I’m pretty sure if I took all the foreign parts off my Harley; it wouldn’t start. Does that make it a ricer? Now don’t get me wrong I grew up on motorcycles and they were ricers; 13 Kawasaki’s and one Honda. I was 40 before I could afford a Harley, but from my teens I knew I would have one someday.

I taught my kids that being convicted of a felony, DUI or domestic violence would impact their job opportunities. Owners don’t want thieves, drunks or those that can’t control their anger in the workplace. We live in a society that will judge you. Are you suggesting that felon’s thieves and drunks become a protected group and have to be hired? Really? Does a big gulp cause you to stick a gun in someones face and take their money?

I’m a Harley rider. I laughed when I saw the V-Rod. I didn’t think it would sell, but I was wrong. Harley is a pretty amazing company. I doubt they just decided to do this. Apparently the top people in marketing and sales in the industry think there is a market or they can create one. Good for them. Anything an American company can do to keep jobs here and offer Americans products made here is a good thing for us all.

There is no gun registration in this state. Will a sale change any existing records that tie you to that gun….no. If a gun used in a crime is traced back to you, it would be a good idea to be able to tell them who you sold it to, but is not required. We can’t do background checks so all we can do is get info. If they don’t want to give it; walk away. I always make that clear up front; so it’s not been an issue for me.

It’s the threat of being arrested on drug charges being reduced that will increase drug use. Stealing is how these dirt bags get their drug money. I can’t begin to guess how many arrests I have made of burglar’s, thieves, and armed robbers; the most common reason given for committing their crimes; “I needed drug moneyâ€. Don’t let these losers try to make you believe it is somehow our drug laws that caused this. Jerad Miller stole cars to get his money. By the end he decided to murder innocent people. No one is responsible for this except the Millers. For someone to claim this is “blowback†from drug enforcement they have to be ignorant or high.
-
He is by the drug addicts that are breaking into our homes and stealing our stuff. Sure, let’s slow down drug enforcement. Let’s see how many more burglaries and robberies there are when the risk of arrest is reduced. Or the murder of innocent people when these derelicts are in a drug induced stupor.

The safety does. I had a safety fail because it wasn’t fitted properly.

According to SCSW the model 30 went from the I frame to the J frame in 1961 with serial number 712954 (30-1). In 1969 it began the “H†prefix. So at 746K I would say it’s an early 60’s model 30-1.

For portraits and Weddings you need to get the flash off the camera. Does the T3i have the ability to trigger a flash wireless? If so I’d try to find a deal on a used 580 EX. But yes, you need a flash. The Speedlight is a part of the EOS package and any serious indoor photography requires one; the 430EX would be a good choice. If you must keep the flash on the camera, use the diffuser. The 580 has one built in, but if you buy something that doesn't they are pretty cheap. Check this out; its "THE" Canon forum and a tremendous source of valuable info. http://photography-on-the.net/forum/

The only way that could happen would be if the state recognized all citizens right to carry; and our state doesn't.

We need a law that removes store liability from anyone carrying a gun into any store open to the public and puts that liability directly on either the person with the gun, or a person committing a criminal act. If someone gets shot in a store, the lawsuit will focus on the deep pockets; the store. The shooter generally won’t have much to get, but the store can be strong armed into an out of court settlement rather than having the cost of a trial and chance of a loss. It’s not a justice system; it’s a business for unscrupulous lawyers, and it’s why stores are posted.

Supreme Court Decision Yesterday!
DaveTN replied to Sidewinder's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I’m sure this case was handpicked by the Obama administration to test this law. Instead of using a law abiding family member buying for another family member, they used a suspected bank robber that they claim had made threats to kill cops. http://ww2.roanoke.com/news/roanoke/wb/269289 -

They did a good job of documenting what is pretty widely known; steel case will damage your rifle. But it’s cheaper so some can justify the cost of a new barrel and other parts shooting it. I won’t run it through any of my weapons.

Permitless carry in vehicle

Last I heard he was under indictment on felony charges. -
It makes me wonder if just one idiot came up with the idea to tell them to leave. In a restaurant I doubt it. I wonder if the other workers stood around in awe of the ignorance they were witnessing as that conversation unfolded. That’s a couple of levels above “Here, hold my beerâ€. It will be up to the franchise owners what happens. I’m not going to boycott KFC for hiring idiots; if I did that I wouldn’t be able to go to most places. That little girl is going through a terrible ordeal and it’s all because a family member had a bunch of pits that he obviously didn’t know well. It makes it worse when your own family put you in that kind of danger.
