Jesse Ventura Sues Wife of Slain Navy SEAL Chris Kyle
DaveTN replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in General Chat
Video statement http://www.cbsnews.com/news/jesse-ventura-no-regrets-over-suing-widow-of-navy-seal-chris-kyle/ I feel the same way as most folks about this azzhat suing the widow. But what confuses me is how Jesse Ventura could get in a bar brawl and it can’t be proven in court. 8 out of 10 jurors must have believed the bar incident didn’t happen. Maybe one of the court TV programs will run it. Sounds like he is going after Harper Collins now. -
Doesn't sound dead. Have you heard something else?
-
What skills or education do you have? What do you think is keeping you from getting a job?
-
It’s why we won’t end up there and why the states will be calling the shots on carry outside the home.

Run through the scenarios in your head of when you would need to pull a weapon at work. If you are facing an armed gunman and you have made the decision to pull a weapon; you need to be able to stop the threat. The only gun you have that is capable of doing that under those conditions is the Beretta. How much attachment do you have to it? .40 Shield, done deal.

How old are the two of you, and is she working and supporting you both?

2 MNPO discussing confiscation. Law officers please comment.
DaveTN replied to a topic in General Chat
Under what conditions do you think cops will be going door to door confiscating guns? Because until that scenario happens; how cops feel about it is really unimportant. Don’t use the example of Katina, it is worn out and has been dealt with by law in this state. I am a former Police Officer and I know cops that would do what they are told and those that would refuse. But why do we care? -
You can now carry a gun in your car in Tennessee without a permit, Illinois now has carry permits and the Illinois Supreme Court has acknowledged carry outside the home as a right, DC gun ban is probably dead, all the gun control the feds have tried to pass has been shot down. So I don’t think the gun community needs or deserves a dressing down or name calling. But that’s just my opinion.

Is this stuff any good? I was thinking of buying some because it seems to be more available than others. But I was reading a thread today on another forum about a problem with a rifle and it turned into ammo bashing with someone claiming the person picked the cheapest stuff they could find and expect their rifle to run; it was Prvi Partizan. I’m asking about the brass case. All the Lake City I see in 308 for sale is pull downs. Is there no decent 308 brass ammo at a decent price?

Article: Top Concealed Carry Handguns... your thoughts
DaveTN replied to jgradyc's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
That list is funny. -
I see; I guess the gun industry operates differently than most other industries. As I said I guess it could happen. Maybe they should do like the junk coming from overseas; if you can sell it cheap enough no one expects it to be quality.
-
Who is “operations Do they trump QA? The story is claiming they have a Remington Engineer saying there were known safety issues and they made them known to the brass, who decided to launch anyway. I guess that’s possible; but its sounds like BS to me.
-
Sure, that wall of text says that it is violation for a pedestrian to cross except at crosswalks; and it is a violation for you to mow them down while they are engaged in their own violation.
-
Ha ha ha, most of the guns we have been shooting for the last 10 years (and many other products) would still be in testing if the engineers had their way. Besides that, Engineering didn’t release the product; quality did. Sounds to me like someone is just making stuff up.

I have a big ugly set of grips for a j-frame that distribute the recoil and make it easier to shoot.

Might check these... http://www.skyranchairport.org/ http://www.skyhighairtours.com/ Or for a once in a lifetime experience you could check this out... http://www.yankeeairmuseum.org/book-a-flight-experience/b-17-reservation/

Yes it is.... its application driven that’s why they make these guns. They aren’t range or target guns; they are belly guns. Get you a 4†686 that is probably the most popular home defense revolver made and also have fun at the range. I’m not taking anything away from the J-frames; I love them. But all things are application driven and the application for a J-frame is when you won’t care about the noise and probably won’t feel the recoil. Seriously, a 15 oz. 9mm won’t be any better. You already had a J-frame, quit wasting your gun money and step up a notch to a target gun.

Can't ask for more than that.

They know a civil case will follow if they drop charges and they are trying to protect the taxpayers from paying this dirtbag. His argument is that even though he had the proper permits; he is not required to answer questions or show them at the request of local Police. I don’t want to pay him a dime, but if we have to I want this to go to a trial. I want to see the courts say that a mental case with a rifle is hands off. He’s attempting to lay the groundwork to show a loss for his civil suit if they drop charges.

Their state law makers should be ashamed; but they won’t be. It’s good for our state. http://rare.us/story/maryland-gun-control-laws-are-forcing-this-gun-manufacturer-to-take-its-jobs-to-tennessee/

The state already tried that with the Tennessee Firearms Freedom act. (Although not for full auto) You can manufacture and sell firearms and suppressors in this state to state residents according to the act. Do you see anyone doing it? No, because the BATF has said they will charge them. Tennessee isn’t going to allow full auto anyway.
