  1. That we can’t throw rocks at Chicago when we have a city that is more dangerous in our state. Also that Chicago doesn’t have a high crime rate because of that cities gun laws; Memphis has guns and they still have a higher crime rate.
  2. Are those the scenarios? I know the Russians have subs off our coast; they always have had. We do the same to them. What do you think those subs will do? The Islamic centers will be dealt with locally if they become a problem. And unless posse comitatus is repealed (and it will be some day) the border is not a military issue now. I’m not making any arguments for cutting military spending; I just don’t understand how anyone would think that would lead to an invasion of our country.
  3. My experience on the street arresting the people that committed the violent crimes and burglaries was that they were people that could not maintain a job and their alcohol/drug abuse. So unless you are suggesting giving them their drugs and alcohol for free; that won’t change. I’m not sure what that has to do with a comparison on the cities though. Is your point that everything is the governments fault?
  4.     Give me a scenario where any county in the world could (or would) attempt to put boots on the ground in the U.S.?
  5. Then don’t. If a LEO points a gun at you for no reason you have recourse; I don’t know of anyone that thinks this is acceptable.
  6. What do these numbers mean? How many Captains and Majors are there now? I have to assume they aren’t cutting these military members, so am I safe in assuming this is attrition of the positions? I truly believe Obama is doing everything in his power to hurt this country before he leaves office, but is that what is going on or are these reductions due to technology or other factors? Does Congress vote on these cuts? These are serious questions, sorry, I just don’t buy into the “Obama is cutting those that won’t turn on Americans”; that can’t even be a part of a serious discussion... in my opinion.
  7. I’ve been watching “last Ship” every week to see what happens. That Captains already been dead once.
  8. I’ve had to download stuff from work because it took too long there. They ask me about the speed and I told them it was so fast the numbers didn’t matter anymore. I don’t need it, but too much speed is like too many guns; no such thing. I just thought I would pass it along. You can check the level you are paying for on your on-line Comcast account. Mines Extreme 105. I’ve never had a complaint with Comcast other than what I pay; wish they had some competition.
  9. I own a Shield 40 and a Kahr MK40. Am I done in my search for the perfect subcompact? Well that’s just crazy talk.
  10. From Speedtest... From Speedtest Comcast...
  11. They were department stores; they aren’t in business anymore.
  12. They pay $10 once every ten years; we pay $10 every time we buy a gun from a dealer. They also don’t send any info on the gun to the state during the background check.
  13. We can't throw rocks. Compare Memphis to Chicago and see what the conclusion is.
  14. Some of those that live off the state (or represent those who do) think that you need to give the state $10 for a 10 year FOID card.
  15.     Are you guys using Xfinity Extreme 105 with Xfinity Modem/wireless routers?
  16. The wife said we had a message on the answering machine from Comcast that they increased speed and we needed to power cycle the modem/router to take advantage of it. I went from 60-70 to 121 Mbps. This has been a public service announcement.
  17. Another vote for the Shield and the M&P FS for their intended applications; I have both. I also have a Kahr MK, it has a very nice trigger, but it’s a long trigger pull. It also costs quite a bit more than a Shield.
  18. Like most states I don’t think Tennessee would comply. The Feds aren’t in charge of law enforcement; the state, counties, and cities are. So the Feds don’t get to tell a state who can carry and who can’t. Tennessee is headed towards what is called “Constitution Carry”, but just like in those “Constitution Carry” states; it will have to come from the state, not the Feds. But I don’t think the SCOTUS will rule that everyone can strap a gun on and go armed. If they did you would see a ConCon so fast your head would spin.
  19. Ha Ha ha, what a load of crap. The Chicago politicians always want to blame someone else. I can assure you there is no shortage of guns in Illinois. I would bet more guns go from Central Illinois in a week than from Mississippi in a year. They probably also don’t know how many guns are manufactured in Illinois, because they don’t know jack about what goes on the rest of the state....ArmaLite, Detonics, Rock River Arms, Springfield Armory. ,
  20. The SCOTUS has dodged the States Rights issues in all their rulings. It will be interesting to see if they decide to rule.
  21. Plenty of places, but Michael Mooney says Kyle confirmed the gas station incident to him. http://frontburner.dmagazine.com/2013/02/08/confirmed-american-sniper-chris-kyle-killed-two-men-at-a-gas-station-in-2009/ Nicholas Schmidle claims to have interviewed three people that were in the room when Kyle told the Katrina story. http://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2013/06/03/in-the-crosshairs Did either one of the incidents happen? Of course not. The gas station incident could have happened, but it would not have been kept secret; too many people would have been involved. The Katrina incident is ridiculous, it was obviously a drunken sea story.
  22. It’s not a contradiction; both have a duty to yield and use due care to prevent an accident.
  23. Cops have the right to stop you and ask you anything they want...they truly are an inquisitive bunch. Where it goes from there depends on the circumstances.
  24. He also claims he went to New Orleans after Katrina with another SEAL and they shot 30 people from the top of the Superdome. Both stories are ridiculous, especially the gas station incident. If what he said was true it was a justified shooting and all the law enforcement, DA Office, and Coroner would not have had a reason for the massive cover-up that would have required.
  25. Go to the Sherriff’s department and ask what authority security has to take the knife and if it was confiscated; where is it now. It may have been confiscated by legal authority, or it may have just been theft.
