I’m sure many here remember not that many years ago when used guns sold for used prices. I haven’t bought a used gun in a long time; not when I can buy new for near the same money. What surprised me was awhile back I needed a couple of scopes. The used prices were crazy. All stores have scopes, they are not in short supply, and they aren’t going to be outlawed. They are a fragile delicate instrument and a buyer is taking a big risk buying a used scope. $50-$100 off the retail price of a $500 new scope…. I don’t think so. I ended up buying new there also.

PDF’s are cartoons. I don’t know why they would have led you to believe otherwise. The only way for anyone to make changes is to redraw from the PDF. I have done it on machine parts where a PDF is all the customer had; but they were billed for the hours it took. How much extra were the cad files? If you get a .DWG or .DXF almost anyone that has CAD software can edit it.

I don’t feel empathy for them; they raised the thug. I doubt him robbing a store was a big surprise for them. Asking the U.N. for help is laughable; they have zero control over us. But okay, let them go there. But make sure you show them the video of your thug azz son robbing and assaulting the store owner so they can roll their eyes and kick you out of the U.N. I feel very sorry for the Officer involved; it’s terrible that he has to go through this because the thug he killed was black. Our President sending the Attorney General there to tell stories about how white cops harassed him as a young man is nothing but racist. I hope this cop is cleared and he finds a job as a Policer Officer in a place where they will support him when he does his job.

For less than $200 you can get a Leupold VX-1 or Nikon 3X9 most anywhere. You can pick up a one piece mount at the gun shows for $50. Then you are as good as the gun and the shooter can be. Around $400-500 and you are into a whole slew of options.

I would guess that most of the people around the body and on the Carl Vinson weren’t planning on writing books and were told not to take pictures. It is my understanding most of the crew didn’t even know the burial at sea was taking place. It is also my understanding that photos do exist, but that the body was pretty shot up. WTF? Massachusetts is the standard for handgun carry? I’m always amused that “I wish we had a gun law like....” never ends with one of the four states that recognize the 2nd amendment as a right.

Would you pay that for it if it wasn’t a sniper? Izhevsk stamped the scope serial number on the barrel of snipers. I would want to know it has that, too many fake “snipers” being imported.

It’s not hard to machine if you have the right tooling and feeds. Don’t let a tool or a drill bit dwell in the cut; it will flash the cutting edge right off.

I would call Bushmaster Customer Support (1-800-883-6229). I doubt Bushmaster is even involved in this, but they can make a call or send an email and fix it. It doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks.
